"If distance is what makes the heart grow stronger, then I must be a million miles away..."
Suddenly, I'm startled awake!
A gasp escapes my dry, chapped lips while my hollow ears echo with the trembling cries of the shadow stalking Hell Hounds, howling for the blood they have been dying to quench their thirsts with. I quickly examine the area around me to find that everything I had thought was real had only been the works of my imagination the cruel and heartless bastard that it truly is. For Persephone had not at all been nursing my wounds, but suffering her own while I had drifted to sleep as she continued to lay cold and lifeless against the equally frigid ice below her soft, gossamer skin.
Fool! I chastise myself harshly.
I instantly wished for my worthless arms to respond to my actions of wanting to envelope the maiden in them. I wanted to be the one who brought life to an innocent creature, but my arms would not allow it. I begged my legs to bend and support m

Olympus: Before Hades Damnation
Click, click, click…
The sounds of echoing footsteps thunder against the walls of the palace where I have strolled many a time in my life. As a young babe, I had learned the art of walking in this very foyer. My mother and father have pointlessly bantered about the many sins of unfaithfulness my father has achieved, thinking I would not be able to perceive such mundane fights from the thin walls where my quarters abide.
Pathetic woman, I scoff as it echoes along with my mindless thinking. The God of Gods is not a man that can be tied down to just one woman and surely not to a greedy old harlot such as you. Like all Gods, he has needs.
With lack of concern, I let a grim smile grace my lips at the newly awarded title for the wench that calls me her son. Some might call it grotesque, others might idolize my thoughts as I like to imagine the many ways I can use my violent m

Hours have passed and the sun continues to sink lower and lower before it will reach the western horizon. Anxiously waiting, I continue to watch Persephone as the light in her smile and the fluid bounce in her step seems to have vanished. Her harvesting rituals seem as if it is her first time encountering a newborn seed, as if she's never done this before. Countless times she even appeared to be distracted, as if something in the distance has caught her eye and she can't seem to bring herself back to earth. During one of these spells, she happened to cut her finger on a rose bush she had been tending to, something she has never done before.
Persephone has always been very careful and even graceful with her work. As any artist does, she takes her time to make sure that it is simply perfection. She would harvest all day and not have a speck of soil on her or her light yet modest outfit. But today, her flawless rosy hued pink skin was turning into a scarred and bloody me

What do you do when you have a life- no, not a life a curse- where you are surrounded by nothing but death? The pleasure of looking forward to death ripped from your control? To be immortal
There is no elixir, no weapon and absolutely no thread of life that will be cut for me if anything tried to take my life. Trust me I have tried.
What good is it to be eternally bound to this Zeus-forsaken body I've been given when it feels like I'm constantly living the regret of a simple mistake by choosing the wrong stick in a game of "shortest stick looses?"
To be the Lord of the Underworld
Guardian of lost souls.
Forever bound to the darkness.
Hades The Damned.
Years, decades, centuries, millenniums, eons and eons of being forgotten in this Hell of a place literally- while my brothers and sisters drink, party and enjoy the warmth of spring time and the changing of seasons the golden rays of Helios' mighty sun. The feeling of my brother, Poseidon's coo
Hades and Persephone-A Flower in the Darkest PlaceThe cold that he felt when he stepped out surprised him.Hades and Persephone-A Flower in the Darkest Place3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Despite his expressionless face, Hades was surprised at the sights around him. He walked through a white covered landscape, with bare trees that looked to be clawing against the slate grey sky. The wind was harsh, carrying cold white crystals of snow on the currents of air that brushed passed his solid, armour-clad, towering frame.
His cobalt blue eyes looked around for any life in this barren land. He didn't even see a plant or animal. However, he wasn't searching for those. He quickly walked forward, his cloak and hair sweeping behind him as he moved against the wind.
Hades had not been in the world above for years. He last walked the earth after the war with the titans, when he and his brothers were deciding who would rule which realm. He remembered that before he descended into the depths of the earth, he looked out at the sunset over the horizon, realising that he may never see the beauty that this world held ever again. Eve
Hades and Persephone"Hades!" she screamed in rage. Silk curtains tore as nails were raked across them. Pillows were swept to the floor and set upon; with a ripping sound there were feathers adrift in the air.Hades and Persephone5 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
She collapsed amid the chaos, sobbing. "I hate you. I hate you!" Her voice broke into the motionless air, hung amid the feathers, shivered in its anger.
He stood with shadowed eyes on the other side of the closed door. He knew she thought he couldn't hear her, knew she thought he was elsewhere attending to business as usual--knew what she thought of him. When her furious sobs had given way to shuddering breaths he said quietly, "The door isn't locked," and as a startled silence fell inside the room he swept away down the hall, shoulders bent with the weight of drifting feathers.
The silence of the dining room as he approached was too silent; he didn't bother looking in.
She sat curled on the bed with the remains of the furnishings scattered around her. Her eyes were bloodshot and there was snot on

(Her fingers tangled in his hair when she kissed him)
She would try her best to smile at him and tell him she loved him.
Her words were like a sweet powdery lie that would melt on his tongue.
He was a selfish monster who devoured these lies in the dead of night when they were tangled together in silk and sweat.

She would sit n

Darkness… Nothing around me but darkness.
I can’t move!
Why can’t I feel any of my limbs?
I feel cold… as though I’ve been submerged into a frozen lake during the height of the Solstice.
My breath is empty, if -at all- existent.
I’m lost in the darkness and I feel nothing but the pain of a very far off and distant memory.
“Daemon!” I cried, shaking him with no avail. “Come on, Daemon! Wake up!”
The jagged movements from his body are only supplied by the desperation of my fists that I fill with his chainmail suit, pleading the heart in his chest to thrum against my quaking palms. The warmth of his smile to melt the ice that has begun to freez
