Forget the lies we have all been told
The blade itself had no might
In fact strength derived from the stone
Gray, dull and with imperfections it sat
We are all mislead, for the plainness ensured preservation.
Waiting centuries, Excalibur knelt rigid on its stance
Would only submit to the ones hold
Many attempted and all but one failed
And that is where the story of the stones life ends
Forgotten by almost all, an insignificant shadow
Few realizing it was truly the Holy Grail.
RantWhats Wrong with Society?Rant7 years ago in Open More Like This
When it comes to listening dont tell me you cant
Now here in this moment is time for my rant
Ill tell you whats gone astray with our world
The answer is in your extended reach
Grasped between them is the death I speak
The fatal blow to all things true and heartfelt
A stone in this societys shoe
Comes in assortments of each and every hue
You expect for everyone to melt
When did we replace truth in our homes?
Have we all reached a point where we would rather give a perfect illusion; rather than the honest?
Blame the politicians; blame overcrowding, disease, and crime
You really want to know whats killing our society.
Its the damn fichus tree in your living room
Its telling your children not to play in the rain or in the dark
Its making our youth feel fear before they know what fear truly is
Its encouraging TV over a game of tag
But most importantly its replacing truth with all
Blind AmbitionI lost it all in a moment. Less than, really. All it took was a few seconds to rip everything I'd ever known out of my grip and throw it into the unknown oblivion of being alone and surrounded by darkness. The only thing I can remember about that night was that I was worried. In that less-than-a-minute time period, I lost my family, my left pinkie toe, and my sight.Blind Ambition5 years ago in Scraps More Like This
But that was years ago.
I felt my way along the wall, as I had hundreds of times before. 12 paces, 10 stairs, a left turn, and the third door on the left. Apartment 3-D. The place I had called home for 7 years. I took my key ring out of my pocket and felt for my room key. The one with only two bumps on it. Holding it out, I felt for the deadlock. I can only imagine how scratched it had become over the years, due to my accidental missing of the keyhole. It probably wasn't a pretty sight. But it was a sight nonetheless, something I would never catch a glimpse of.
I opened the door, rested my cane against the wall, and too

I long for your touch
I try to control it
But it's just too much
How can I tell you?
When I barely know you
That I love the things you say
And all the things you do
I can't just say it
Because we met just yesterday
All I can do is look at you
With nothing at all to say
I thought maybe I'd write to you
A letter expressing my thoughts
I considered it quite briefly
Then thought I better not
I just don't know you well enough
I don't want to scare you away
So for now I'll be content
With hoping that you'll stay
Sometimes I think I might go insane
With all this thinking of you
But other times it feels like heaven
Because I love the things you do
So I'll wait for you
Until it's time
You'll be mine
