And that's basically what you need to know about the Mexican-American war. Well, of course, if you're really interested, you would probably know that the war was part of the fulfillment of the manifest destiny, i.e. to conquer the continent coast to coast for the Americans. And well, Mexico was, like Belgium was for Germany, in the way.
Also known as Polk's war, since James K. Polk was the only real president to actually want this sort of war. What a man. What a war.
I shall be quite frank and direct with my words in order to appropriately convey my meaning behind this message...FUCK POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!!
Political correctness is the toxic poison which is presently seeping through this country (and this world) slowly killing us all by causing us to break out into fits of utter ignorance and unforgivable stupidity. Mankind truly is a pitiful species. We go from societies rooted in violence fueled by bigotry and prejudice to societies of complacent sheep so afraid of offending people that we cut out our own tongues and drive nails into our skulls to try and drain out all manner of thoughts which might be deemed controversial...metaphorically-speaking of course.
People need to understand that being offended does make you right, and nor does your bruised ego supersede a person's natural-born right to free speech. We all have opinions that we are entitled to. I might not like what your opinion is, but just because I don't like what you say does not mean I have the right to stuff cotton in your mouth and staple your lips shut. The answer to intolerance is education, NOT more intolerance. Censorship of thought is censorship of life...NEVER FORGET THAT!!
The Lost Colony Roanoke,. It dates back to the time the Europeans began to settle on this free land, that is now known as North Carolina . The village of Roanoke was the one of the first English colonies to be established on the soil. However this village did not turn out to be that of a successful one. The Governor of this hamlet had the name of John White. The small population of Roanoke complained about their lack of food and tools. They also contained frightening suspicions that the Natives may launch a surprise attack on them. These complaints eventuated in John White going to England to later return along with the proper supplies the colonists requested. John White returned three long years afterwards. But what he returned to was not that of a colony but of a ghost town. The area which was once a village was stripped of its people. Houses and other shelters were nowhere in site. What was left behind were some small cannons, an opened chest, a tall fence built around the perimeter of the former village site, and a single word inscription carved on a fence post, “Croatoan”.
Heres the first Main Image I got to draw! I was given the 2 panels on the left as reference to come up with the image on the right. So I did a little Photoshopping to get the pose from the top panel then the face from the bottom panel. Once I got a semi decent figure I used that as reference for my drawing. I then went to my bible, How to draw Comics the Marvel way by Stan Lee and John Buscema to help me fill in the blanks. Once I was happy with the drawing I inked it in Illustrator then back to Photoshop for coloring.
Special Thanks to Jeff Youngquist and John Denning for asking me to do this!

I guess I should explain though. The reason they're aren't dead is because they've been brought back to life in our present day to fight bad guys like hitler, bathori, etc who've also been brought back
