Walrus Ivory cabachon, various types of beads,

Playing with texture, tried to scootch a tad out of my comfort zone when it came to colors. From start to end it took me about 3 months to finish this, simply because I took it apart and put it back together so many times. It was a little tough for me because I had so many different colors/textures/ of beads and trying to make them seem harmonious was a task. In the end I was really surprised!

Thanks for looking!

A map showing the branches of the worlds language families by country.

Do to the sheer diversity of languages, especially in Africa, the language branches are not all 'equal', that is while some of them are themselves 1st level branches of a Language Family, some of them are much further down (ex. 6th level division) due to differing levels of linguistic diversity.

Please note that determining language families and clasifications among the linguistic community is not clear, especially in Africa, as such their are quite a few cases where their is debate over language classification, as such I have tried to use the most widely supported theories with the exception of Altaic, which as a language family has a high degree of disagreement over its scope; in the case of Altaic I have only included Turkic and Mongolic (accepted by all as members of it) but have not included Korean or Japanese, which are sometimes included, but do not have widespread support for said inclusion.

The map is of native languages/mother languages, not languages known overall, which would grealty change things due to the fact many countries (especially in Africa) are Multilingual with people learning French, English or others as second languages.

Additionally while it's to small to do so Singapore should be striped Sinitic and Germanic, as Chinese (49.9%) and English (32.3%) as a combined 80% of the population speaks one of the two as a first language.

Taco Belle. Huehuehue. The tacos are hand-painted card stock, tissue paper, and felt. The flowers and ruffles are made from [unused] Taco Bell wrappers.

I decided to make this after I accidentally Taco Belle'd three years ago: scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/h…

Appropriately, before I finished it, I was in a Taco Bell commercial earlier this year: https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/10387480_10206084135439551_2946954095500378593_n.jpg?oh=974b77c02b92bf9186af19a69359b48e&oe=564B3A6B

Okay, now, that's the last we taco 'bout it.

Find me on...

We had a Blast!
Keeping the costumes simple this year really helped us have a good time. The classic heckling duo of Statler and Waldorf from the Muppet Show not only gave us a set of comfortable, warm and very popular outfits, but their snarky demeanor also allowed us to take out some of last years frustrations while remaining in character.
