heres 2 wooden Pirate swords i made a little while back. the blades are wood painted silver, the hand guards are pollished alluminum, the handles are wraped, one in leather and the other in rope with electrical tape covering it, and the end caps are stainless bullet nuts. just thought i'd make them for a pirate halloween costume or just for play. eh... their fun, light weight, and i've even fooled some people who thought they were real.
This wood burning was done on oak, the total size is about 15" tall by 22" wide, the image size is about 9" tall by 12" wide. This was done from a reference image I found on the internet a while back. This was a commission for my father-in-law, and was my first wood burning attempt. I am very happy with the results.
This was my gift to the wife and family of John, . I barely knew him and never met him in person, but he was a great person and artist so I volunteered to do a woodburning of him in his memory. Check out his woodworking here: ForestDwellerHouses Handmade by me. 10.5 inches by 13 inches, Basswood.
