This hat features a cute embroidered face with blushing appliqued cheeks. All of the embroidery is hand guided. :3
I sew my hats from high quality light purple fleece fabric using an industrial serger for a strong, stretchy, comfortable seam. I use a blind hemmer to finish them.
You will not find a higher quality hat! One size fits all, these hats are comfortably stretchy! My hats can be machine washed.
Unlike other hat makers I do NOT use felt, paint, markers or wire in any of my hats. They are inferior materials that render a hat un-washable! I only work with professional materials and techniques to insure a quality product!
I made this from a victorian-style blouse [3.99 from Salvation Army] that I cut the back and shoulders off of.
Then I took a vest that I owned, cut off the shoulders, and made a halter neck from the handle of an old leather purse. There are two teardrops of midnight blue velour on the ends, but I don't think that matters. Then I took a silver chain, cut it into two pieces, and attached the ends to the halter neck in back to hold up the back of the vest.
Then I cut out the back even more, and sewed the zipper strap down the center of the cords. It's kind of rough, but I'm not the world's best seamstress. The zipper is really just for show.
This dress was the final dress of my fashion show past November It's inspired by Art Nouveau and angelic / ghostly beings. Made of soft silver grey lace lined with viscose. Sleeves are stretch voile. Everything hemmed with lots of lace. Decorated with silver plated metal clasps and little satin roses.
Here you can see it on stage during my fashion show ^^
