Edit: People, this is crazy! THIS gets more favs than both of my DDs combined??? It was just a silly idea for the picture of my medieval and Middle-earth-ish costumes:
I don't believe nobody thought of this before, probably it just didn't get this popular on the internet. But your response is really awesome, and many of your comments made me laugh! My inbox is overwhelmed and I can't answer them all, but thank you for every comment and !
I really didn't expect this, it's probably the proof of the dark and tempting power of the One Donut... Which makes me a little bit nervous, because I ate it... with my Gardener My fiancee's name means "gardener" in my language, and I split it in half with him...
I know it's hard to tell looking at my gallery but I'm a big steampunk fan! and a while ago I saw this yummy looking hand-written recipe finished with awesome design and thought "why aren't all of mine recipes so aesthetically appealing ?" now I can't do much about my hand-writing but at least I could bake the cupcakes and try to make them as cute as original design so if you ever feel craving for delicious chocolate-banana cupcakes and have some leftover chocolate frosting (that maybe you intended to be dyed black just to realize half way through that there's no more black food coloring at hand and all the shops are closed at sunday evening...not that it ever happened to me...) then steampunk is your best friend! it was the first time I ever made Chocolate-Banana cupcakes and I'm in love with this recipe. seriously - go and bake some! I am beyond flattered and overwhelmed at being a Daily Deviation. Thank you so much to cakecrumbs for suggesting my work and being so sweet and supportive! And thank you to all of you for the kind words and love! I am absolutely honored.
A black and red damask wedding cake I did recently. All fondant with royal icing stenciling. Real white roses.
This is a representation of Goku I've made a little 'time ago just for fun. It has become - unexpectedly for me - very popular on facebook and on the internet. Unfortunately, I was not used to sign what I published and in rare cases I've been cited as the author. Ifelt like I wasrobbedbut I know it was my fault. So since then, I have learned my lesson and now every time I publish something I put my signature and the link to my facebook page on the photo. This is the signed version of my Goku (on my facebook page, there is the first version I published).
What I would have given to have been allowed to make the cake look like their caravan in the desert... but alas, the customer wanted simple! The blue crystals are crushed liquorice mints (in case you were wondering) so EVERYTHING is edible!
I tried my hand at pumpkin sculpting for the first time this year. I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out, especially since I've never properly sculpted anything in my life. Hopefully next year's will be even better.
I've been playing a lot of Skyrim this past year (and I mean A LOT of Skyrim), so I thought it was only fitting to make this year's pumpkin Skyrim-themed. The carving itself took about 15 hours total, and the photographing and set up took about 3-ish (I had a lot of fun playing with the lighting). Fun fact: shortly after this shot was taken, I accidentally lit the inside of the pumpkin on fire. Oops...
