A finished Pocketdreadnought designed to be featured for a Chronicles of Man faction called the Free Republic of Veridia.
Larger then a battleship yet smaller then a regular dreadnought the Bushido Class pocketdreadnought is 3.5km long and retains the speed of a battleship combined with the firepower of a dreadnought. As a downside its armour and protective shielding reflect this and are only slightly better then a battleship.
This will be the first post but hopefully not last one.
Updated the image with a new layout, also removed the aux engine module on the lower part of the ship, replaced it with a fire control and sensor module. Tweaked the main hull too to make it smoother and studier looking.
She's finally done, the CoM Version of the Evangelos. Now a 2.1km long Battlecruiser, she's the latest and fastest ship in the Republic Navy. Specs and details to come later.

As stated in an poll I will do some new design for the Veridian Republic. Mainly new 'modern' models. These designs will be heavilly influenced by the new heading I am taking with the Veridian republic. A more aggressive stand basically with a 'democratic' system only in word since the military will be in control.
Finished it and decided to call it a Same Class destroyer (Same meaning Shark in Japanese). It is mainly a missile orientated ship design with minimal guns but still has several lasers/beam weapons for close in situations)/
The second ship in the Coalition's Vault-Series of warship, the Accipiter-Class battleship is a fearsome sight to behold.
A battleship in the truest sense, and dwarfing their Armored Cruiser escorts, the Accipiter-Class is the mainstay of the Coalition's Navy at the start of the war. Significantly larger than the preceding Liberty-Class Battleship, the Accipiter will give even the Alliance's newest EVOVE series battlecruiser - the Legend-Class (to be designed) - a run for its money. Armed with a standard missile broadside that exceeds the Archangel-Class Dreadnought (albeit with the Coalition's Smaller Type 32 Standard Missile), the Accipiter's combat tactic centers around raw, brute saturation of enemy defenses in the face of superior EW and ECW. In addition - strong computer integration links heavily with its escorts, allowing for seamless coordination when using the smaller, much faster Armored Cruisers to sucker larger units into the Accipiter's large engagement envelope.
The Alliance Data file on the Accipiter ends with this warning to all captains. "Accipiter-Class Battleships mark the first vessel in the Coalition Navy that achieves - to a degree - parity with the equivalent Alliance Vessel. Captain's are advised to use extreme caution when engaging these warships and not count on powered missile envelope superiority or defensive capabilities."

The Anointed-class was one of the first ships built for the Threshold of Hadrian Navy, and so still incorporates many of the original ideas considered to be practical on paper, but not in practice. However, once fortunate offshoot of this became extremely useful. A modified honeycomb design was employed, using more triangles and thicker armor where possible, as well as more heavy-base struts than commonly found, resulting in a ship that is considered to be an "Ol' Reliable" concept. While as of late found to be outclassed by newer battlecruisers, particularly that of the Alliance, the Anointed-class's reputation is that of an old dog that is still a formidable force, capable of pulling off miracles on the battlefield, taking far more force and a heavier beating than it would be thought possible. Part of this is due to it's dual-bridges. Originally conceived to be a massive flagship for fleets of Ships-of-the-Lance, a large, somewhat showy - and well defended by point-defense, Flag Bridge was incorporated. It's removal from later ships of the class was saved by several cases of enemy ships actually blowing out the main internal bridge, the ship temporarily going "dead," only to minutes later surprising the once-thought victorious enemy with a close-range display of force as a surviving or entirely new impromptu command crew taking control.
As such, new tactics allow the Anointed-class to easily work together in small fireteams with other ships of the same, or even different class, which aided greatly in the Verge-Incursions, with teams of battlecruisers striking precisely during large ship-of-the-line battles, using their smaller size to their advantage, as they were not the initial targets of choice. In coordination with their heavy compliment of dropships and orbital troopers, this made them prime for launching boarding actions.
To counter boarding actions from taking control via the aft bay, large heavy bulkheads can easily be put into place to isolate vital areas.

Description: While lacking some of the initial punch of some of the Alliance cruisers, even the older Trafalgar models, the Sufa-class makes up for it's lack of dual-missile bays by making up for them in extreme advances in auto-loading technology. A mixture of simple logic, method, storage, and mechanical advances known as - and classified as only - "Swiftloading," mean that for ever volley an Alliance Autoloader-equipped launcher can throw out, the Swiftloader-equipped launchers can launch roughly 1.8 volleys. Additional upgrades include the Threshold's slightly more improved MAG Drives, and larger at least, if not better cannons. While not capable of dropping more soldiers into combat for orbit as comparable Alliance Vessels, the Sufa is, with modular storage, able to house both Orbital Drop Commandos and Marines simultaneously, and does have larger bays for Dropships, which also account for much of the equipment storage for the soldiers.
The Sufa-class is the smallest vessel to completely and totally incorporate it's layered-wall structure, with packets of gel-fire-retardant built into the walls to minimize damage from enemy fire. This lends to the Hadrian "Pre-Compartmentalization" methods of Damage control, going beyond the typical Compartmentalization which saved so many space- and sea-faring vessels before its existence, ensuring the smallest amount of space is affected, and preventing all but the most inevitable secondary explosions.
The piece of armor possibly the most hidden-in-plain-sight are the additional eleven "wings." While providing, and intending, enough lift for a controlled and salvageable crash-landing onto an average-gravity planet, without any assistance, the Sufa-class Heavy Cruiser is not capable of in-atmospheric flight, though structurally able of a controlled, methodical non-combat entrance into the atmosphere. These "wings" actually provide additional armor for various locations of the ship, to include the flight bridge, machinery-room equipment, berthing areas, weapons areas, and the CIC which is located almost directly mid-ship. In addition, the lower front-wing, which wraps all the way around to the other side, is also designed to help cushion the fall of the ship several additional G's by both extending it's physical precense as well as counter-mass barrier, very much in the same method as a vehicle's bumper. All of these methods were employed to make the ship more survivable - in hindsight somewhat useless, a bit of error of having "engineers design a ship rather than officers," as the crew of many of the Sufa-class vessels would put it, but in good heart nonetheless - with such a small fleet, the Threshold of Hadrian Navy would prefer to have any ship rendered out-of-commission as salvageable as possible, even so far as to place hope as it return it to service.
Designed to serve as the smallest Ship of the Line as well as the largest Ship of the Lance for the small Threshold of Hadrian Navy, the Sufa-class combines both a heavy bow-armament and broadside, giving it a wide versatility in all scenarios rather than one set goal.
This is a piece of artwork for the "Chronicles of Man" universe of madeinjapan1988. As such, some concepts and styles will be taken from that verse, and may bare similarities to his work.
The Crusader Class Cruiser are the all rounded main fleet ships of the Royal Templar Navy. First encountered by the Republic a year after the Templars broke away when the Templar Fleet lay siege to the Republic Base and Resource world of Quadran. These ships proved deadly to slower moving Battleships and equally effective against light enemy craft.
The Acheilus is the cumulative result of years of research and development for a well-rounded destroyer class ship. Working upon the flaws of the older Lancer class, the Acheilus is a deadly agile ship with low sensor profile giving the ship some level of stealth protection. Unlike other ships of her size, the vessel is armed with a single Cruiser sized main battery, giving the ship significant firepower. The ship’s unique hammerhead contains the latest in sensory as well as ECM systems, along with 2 rapid fire railguns kept at each end of the hammerhead. Powering the Acheilus is a single Bertling Stellar Drives Quantum reactor, and 3 BSS SB-14 Sublight drives. This makes the Acheilus one of the fastest ships of the Republic Fleet. A slight disadvantage of the design would be the lighter armor plates use to protect the ship. The standard medium armor plates were sacrificed in order to give the ship an advantage in speed and agility over other destroyer and Frigate classes. To make up for the lack of armor, ship designers added several point defense turrets at critical areas of the ship to shoot down attacking fighters and missiles. The Acheilus classes first saw combat when 3 destroyers were assigned to Task Force 5 under the flag of the RSV Evangelos that led the main defensive action over the homeworld of Zarini.
