Done as a gift art for the talented Amber M Williams.
Since the introduction of Mitilda and her flirty-ness to Dan. This little scene has always floated in my head whenever i look at DFMA. It's a cute scene. Can finally getting some well-deserved cuddles and ear rubs.
This is what happens when I tell you I want to go a trade for you at anthrocon and you refuse due to not having your sketchbook and modesty. You get a spontaneous coloured picture two months later!
I've been working myself to the bone lately. It's all work well worth it but the holidays sure don't make things easier! haha After work I just felt like drawing something quick and happy so there you go. I'm actually very happy with my life at the moment, just gotta keep working hard!
A rendition of one of the two main characters on the webcomic DMFA (www.missmab.com). Completed this in small chunks over two weeks in December of 2003, way back when I still did inking for inking's sake. These days I really try to avoid inking altogether, as Ill usually take an image straight to color after linework is comlpeted, or leave it pencil if I like how it looks black and white.
This is Cassandra Daryil, or Cass as she is generally known. Actress, dancer, seductress and general thorn in Lord Daryil's side.
Despite her confidence in the spotlight or when hunting, Cass is naturally shy and somewhat timid, a problem which took her a long time to overcome on stage and which has lead to some thinking of her as an airhead. Partly because of this she has never played a leading role, but has played a wide range of minor roles including in several major films.
To satisfy her love of glamorous clothing (and feed on some of the baser emotions) she will often work the cabaret circuit as an exotic dancer between film shoots.
Cass is most widely known among Daryil clan for her occasional habit of breaking into Beings' homes, seducing them and pretending to devour their souls so as to feed upon their terror (to the great disapproval of her Clan Leader). Normally kind and cheerful, Cass' victims typically awake to discover a letter of apology and a cheque or money order for several thousand gold dollars.
Rumour has it that Daryil's Clan retains a legal department dedicated solely to mopping up after these antics. Owing to their similar appearances, Cass has sometimes impersonated Keaton Jyraneth while victimising Beings and has been beaten up by the real one on several occasions.
Colouring and inking by myself, original pencils by . Thanks for drawing her!
Remember my burst of commissions back in July or so? This is the last one, only six months late! XD The commissioner requested pretty much what you see here, plus to remain anonymous, but this is apparently a Christmas present for someone. I'll let you speculate as you will!
Ponies are fun and all, but I must admit, it always makes me happy when someone requests members of the Suburban Jungle cast in a commish.
This was originally a pencil sketch drawn by like most of the art I've posted here. Unfortunately, he went on hiatus (dead ISP, delays switching to a new one), so I couldn't ask him for guidance. Without really knowing what parts were what, I began to ink it, and eventually got bored waiting for him to return and tell me what materials were used. So I did my typical 'must make it shiny!' thing, and everyone who's seen it seems to think it turned out very well.
It depicts Sunblink's evil jackal succubus, Keaton. Originally Ren was hoping to use the new design in our comic, but halfway through he realised it was way, way too complex to draw in 6 panels a week.
