With four fifty in my back pocket
And a suitcase of nightmares hitting my heels
There's black lipstick smeared on my collarbones
Vodka dreams slithering through my hair
Tonight, I'll be a monster
Swallow you up with paint fumes and a bottle of schnapps
The red pickup shudders and my hips creak
Like brass hinges, then I'm there
And Cerberus sniffs at my bloody wrists
I pop pomegranate seeds like pills and Hades
Can't make me look back cause tonight
I'm a monster
And no silver bullet will shatter me

rings the sound of so much thunder.
The weather inside is so chaotic,
your voice, your beauty, is like magic.
Walking beside you all this time,
wondering why I didn't notice your shine.
Now that I see your beauty and all,
my brain froze and my heart took a fall.
You walked on by surpassing me,
all I could do was watch and see.
You were a goddess sent from above,
to teach me, all about love.

Fire and IceIt is said that when 2 worlds touch, magic happens.Fire and Ice4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
But what of those that are opposites?
How can the North Pole coincide with the South pole?
How can Superman call Lex Luther his chum?
How can two eyes meet without becoming crossed?
How can the heavenly sky have anything in common with the sedimentary ground?
Perhaps we'll never know.
But look at it like this:
Without the two opposing poles, there wouldn't be anything to hold the world with.
Without a villain in the story, there wouldn't be a hero to save the day.
Without the opposing adjacent eyes there wouldn't be sight to see the beauty of the world.
Without the heavenly sky so out of reach, there wouldn't be a reason to quench the thirst of the earth with silver drops of rain.
Maybe these opposites don't attract.
But maybe, just maybe
they can get along.

RealitySurrounded by the nonexistent, with only my mind to comfort me, I am alone in this world I call my own; trapped in my imagination forever. Life is but a dream - a nightmare, even. A twisted hallucination created by my thoughts in the true reality, changing in stranger and stranger ways as my sanity fades in the life I cannot remember, the true life, the real life, the life I somehow cannot live. This life I experience is just my thoughts playing tricks on my sense of reality as the insanity calls me closer and closer still. As I lose faith in humanity, the frayed ends of my sanity slowly begin to burn away. The flame of my mind flickers weakly as the last of the candle melts slowly. I long for the life I have never known, but it is too late. As the flame is extinguished, I sigh and close my eyes, awaiting the next journey, wherever it will take me. First - darkness; next - a flicker of a world I nevReality4 years ago in Stories & Vignettes More Like This

I still like you
I've tried to hide it
but I've failed...
I had to lie
to the other people
to prevent being hurt
but the hurt was more after...
You still care for me
and would do anything for me
you were shocked when you
found out I still like you...
It's really hard to explain
but that one night
changed my life
and I'm so happy it did...
Right now we're best friends
and I want to keep it
because I think that
I'm done with love for now...

I will really miss you...
You've got some odd humor
and you're a great artist, and
in addition to all of that
you're one of my greatest friends...
Can you just promise me one thing?
Can you promise that you
will never ever forget me
or forget the memories we had together?
Goodbye for now great friend
I hope someday we meet again
and if you got nothing else from this
I just want you to know I'll miss you...♥

The Ghost Everyone Can SeeWe must find a way to keep them in lineThe Ghost Everyone Can See4 years ago in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
Said the man in white, long beard and no eyes
For without an idol, they think it's a lie
The rules by which to live from the sky
To see the light, you must see the ghost
To be morally sound, you must believe
Right and wrong is never common sense
It can only be forced with no defense
For when denied
The same shall be applied to you
No matter of your deeds
No matter of your sounds
Even if no sin is found
You can't even be on the fence
Innocence and refusal
Is met with firey consequence?!
But the blinded sheep
Inherited with lies
Despite their crime
Are attested the prize
As long as you gazed to the Father, son, and divine deceit
Afterlife is assured to be reaped
The gates would accept the full-mouthed
Exploiter of all who were mongered fear
Though the open-minded
One of his own accord to be
Is titled 'Abomination'
And is shunned for the nix
Concerning the discarnate end

Don't Mess With The Narrator Faerie lanterns adorned the streets as the town of Malirn prepared for the winter solstice festival. Bands of sorcerers had joined together to bring music to the event, and even the royal family was rumoured to be gracing them with their presence. It was a much anticipated event, one which many citizens looked forward to, the festivities bringing a smile to the face of most who attended. Those who had organised this year's event were putting the finishing touches on the finest details, while the town's residents prepared in their homes, looking forward to a night of freedom, and of joy.Don't Mess With The Narrator4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Readying himself in his room at the inn, as so many others were also doing, Haylen smiled at his reflection in the mirror. He had never been to this event before, being a traveller who had heard the many praises his fellows had for this festival, and was very much looking forward to it.
He brushed his blond hair, which tickled at his shoulders, admir

Never quite got there;
A detour to your heart,
My color, my sky, my sunshine,
Your heart's my heaven on Earth.
Tell me dear,
Does it hurt to be loved?
To gaze with eyes that melt the soul,
And captivate kind hearts?
'Cuz I can't get you out of my head,
And I don't want to hurt you now...
[You] Come near,
And whisper in my ear,
"Can you heal my wounds?
I've forgotten how to dream...
How to see lovely shapes in the clouds...
As I bleed from my gashed heart,
Pure poison 'they' left behind".
"Its always an uphill battle,
One problem here, one misfortune there,
However always a ray of hope,
The road that keeps me afloat,
The faith in your smile's my fate".
[Listen to me clearly dear]
I'll repair your soul,
Bring back the color of hope,
I'll fight countless battles for you,
And fluff the pink and purple clouds with you,
Through dark ages and smoke.
There's no impossible,
No never, no "can't be done",
Only belief in our beyond.
So please remember the rule,

The CityI walk down the brightened street. The City3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Breathing in time with the thunder.
The rain crashes upon my shoulders,
my thoughts rise and fall, begin to wander.
The sounds of nature holding hands
with the bustling city, full of cars.
My hands reside in my wet pockets,
as my eyes wander up to search through stars,
Though the sky is hidden by the lights and clouds,
and the stars seem to have been tucked away.
I let my eyes fall, disappointed.
I stride on as the city walls beg me to stay.

Give me earth to build the hillsides and snow to stop the molten lava flow. Give me water to run with the rivers and salt where I meet the sea.
Give me rocks to carve you a mountain range; I climb up to emerge alive or free.
Hand me clouds to string in jagged lines. Spare me stars to dot the skies and three wishes to bring them to light.
Share with me, fierce fires to warm the night. Leave me its ash to paint my face and eyes. Show me, to fashion a sharp edge and teach me to hunt. Feel with me; our first kill.
Those hills now hollow and are lined with a mountain's rock. Our roads now lead a twisted maze to cities in decay.
The stars are covered in thick smog and a choking haze; fires burn up the ocean line, filling the skies.
That salt taints the earth and where was once ashen paint, we now bleed dry.
We bleed as one.
For the moments it took, to build this world, it now takes longer to remember a single dream.
We dreamed as one.
