RIP Sir Terry PratchettSir Terry Pratchett, renowned fantasy author, dies aged 66RIP Sir Terry Pratchett3 weeks ago in Personal More Like This
This is terribly sad news. Pratchett's books have meant more to me than any other author I've ever read. His style has shaped my imagination, thoughts, sense of humor and my own creativity in so many ways.
I met him once, in 2005 or so. I gave him two comic pages I had drawn based on The Colour of Magic and he later complimented me on my art. I got two of my Discworld books signed by him. It was one of the happiest days in my entire life.
He taught me to love books and words in a way I didn't think was possible. He inspired me to draw and write. His characters and stories made many bad days brighter. Having met him in person and seeing how generously he treats all his fans, I know he wasn't just the best writer I've ever read, but also a brilliant, funny and warm human being.
This news really hits me hard.
RIP, Sir Pterry.

Corset for Sale! Brocade Blue Steampunk Overbust.Hello all!Corset for Sale! Brocade Blue Steampunk Overbust.5 years ago in Personal More Like This
Up for sale is my blur brocade corset pictured on my in these pictures. I have more detail shots at your request and I'll link you to a few at the end of the post!
This is a handmade corset in a gorgeous ocean blue brocade. I made it for AWA 2009, and wore it once for the event I am pictured at above. It's in great condition and is made from a 1880's replica Victorian corset pattern, this is the same patter I use for all my corsets and it is just perfect every time. This corset will give you a great hourglass shape, although it is not intended for tight lacing. It will decrease your waist size, but nothing extreme, so it's very comfortable to wear for a prolonged period of time. The corset has no front closure, so to get it on, you'll need an extra set of hands to help you get laced into it.
The grommets are hand set and are in gold. There
I finished the AU!Nov 16I finished the AU!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I didn't think it'd be possible, but I did it. Thank you so much to everyone of you who was still asking me when I was going to finish it. It was the push I needed to finish it. Now I'm free to start a new project, maybe one that'll go faster this time, haha.
Here's a link to the AU archive so you can find all the pages, I hope it's still working even though I don't have a membership...
Thanks again *hugs*!

Reasons to like 'Star Trek - Enterprise':iconDoctorWhoOne: Ola Dudes !!.Reasons to like 'Star Trek - Enterprise'9 months ago in Personal More Like This
Ok, today, as part of my Star Trek - Enterprise DVD Marathon to which I have been watching every single episode of all 98 episode every morning since the start of this month [just finished series 3 today so just series 4 left to go ], I thought I'd talk about what good reasons there are to appreciate the prequel of all Star Trek, cos as I understand it, a lot of fan's sadly hate the prequel, but I think there are good reasons to like it if you really give it a chance
Archer's Enterprise is the first ever Starfleet ship in the history of Starfleet itself, followed by the Columbia NX-02. Archer's Enterprise may lack shields and tractor beams, but one thing you have to remember about this particular Enterprise is that she came from a time when no earth vessel had such capabilities, so polarized hull plating and a device called the grapler had to be used instead by Starfleet at the time.
