I still like that one, it's from 2008. There are some things concerning colour composition and colour application I'd like to change, but I think it still works fine.
I didn't do any research for lighthouses before painting, so if anyone KNOWS it doesn't work like that, please don't complain. I just wanted to PAINT this picture.

~Watercolor~2010~

Oh boy oh boy. A bit busy looking, eh?
This was actually finished earlier this year, but I never was very satisfied with it. Finally I slapped on some final touches and graduated this piece to the "Completed" pile.

It's funny, when I came up with the concept, the idea was based on simplicity. This was going to be quick, simple and clean.

NOT SO!

Here, finally, is the second painting I was commissioned to do last November! As with the last one, I was asked to take a photograph by the client's husband and turn it into a watercolor. I thought this one would be easier or quicker than the Bea Dog painting, but I think it ended up taking just as long and being perhaps even more physically taxing! It was all the branches! They did murder on my poor hand, but I could not resist adding all the details; I always think things look better with detail, no matter how much it hurts XD The sky was super fun and easy to do at least ^^

Graphite and Sakura Koi watercolor on Strathmore 140lb. cold press paper. Approximately 8x10".

The following thumbnails lead to a couple bonuses.
My painting, overlaid with the original photo at 50% opacity:
