I couldn't even breath when I read this one --->
Eleven Gods of the Night are incarnated for the first time in 65 million years, summoned to protect humanity from an all-encompassing evil that is coming in 2012, at the end of the Mayan calendar. While currently incarnated as deadly, handsome men, they have the ability to assume their prior formsthose of gigantic dinosaurs. One of them, Ty Endeka, develops a powerful attraction to his taxi driver, Kelly Maloy, with whom he must fight the forces of eviland of desire.
Save a Brontesaurus. Ride these guys.

From the attic came an unearthly howl. The whole scene had an eerie, surreal quality, like when you're on vacation in another city and "Jeopardy" comes on at

"Hello there! It's DeadEndKing (That one guy who'll swamp you with shimejis for a few weeks and then mysteriously drops off the face of deviantart until a week or two later when he swamps your group yet again), I just wanted you to know that I have found a way to get around the Java problems that 64 bit users encounter with the Shimeji program. All you need to do is downgrade your Java using a link found here:
Other comments on this problem:
:iconCynicalCucco: "There is now a way to run Shimeji without the use of parallel desktop/wine.
Also, Please remember-
I've been getting a lot of comments on the group's page asking for Shimejis to be made, and a few notes.
I'm just trying to say that if you want a Shimeji made, don't post a comment on the group or send a note, Probably only Me
Selkie: The Story. (no spoilers)Well I keep finding myself explaining various plot points or origins every time I post a new selkie picture and corresponding vague blurb, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a central place where you can read up on the story, if you like. The idea is that I'll update the story here when I upload a new illustration, and fill in major plot points which aren't getting covered in the picture, so check back if you're interested.Selkie: The Story. (no spoilers)4 years ago in Personal More Like This
BEFORE I START, I will answer once and for all this question: "Is this from Ondine/Secret of Roan Inish?" Not really, this story is as similar to either of those as they are to each other: they are all from the same mythology, but this series is about characters who do not exist in another selkie retelling. Here is some reading on basic selkie mythology: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selkie

Writing An Artist's StatementCommunity WeekWriting An Artist's Statement1 year ago in Deviant Events More Like This
An artist's statement is simply the artist's written description of their own work. It is a verbal representation of the work that the artist does and it is meant to help the viewer glean understanding of it. It aims to inform and connect the viewer with the art. Often gallery owners and teachers will ask for an artist's statement, and it's possible you'll even want to put one up on your website. In any case, you'll most likely need to write one.
Seems easy, right?
Not so much.
Writing an artist's statement can be quite tricky! It can be very difficult to put what you do and why down on paper without it sounding either convoluted or over simplified. In either case, the audience might have trouble understanding the statement.
Example: "The apotropaic quality of the conjoining lines are juxtaposed against the atramentous backdrop in a way such as to give definition to not only the achromatic benevolence of the lines themselves, but to the crepuscular middle ground, with

First of all I would like to thank everyone who partook in the lottery. I am glad that so many of you liked the idea and decided to share few sweet words with your friends. I read some of your conversations in comment section and wow, some of them were so intense (like, really intense - wow guys get a room LOL OR JUST MARRY HER ALREADY, GEEZ :icondumbledorenoplz.
It took me a while to choose the winners, since there was a number of participants that wasn't viable for the lottery, either because of not fulfilling the primary rules (being my watcher; account has to be at least 2 months old) or not following the two mandatory steps (for example, comment under this journal). Which is a bit sad, but rules are rules and there's always next time!
In any case I finally managed to properly choose the random winners and here are the lucky three participants!

Food. Polymer clay food. There's a strange fascination between polymer clay crafters to make food, if you ask many of us won't even be able to explain what's so addictive about making fake food. Some of it is crafted for doll houses and doll props, some people make beautiful jewelry with food, but some just make it because it's so incredibly fun.

Was anyone there? Does anybody know anything? D:
Apparently the pieces in question were . (I actually have seen these around the internet with the border containing my dA cut off. My signatures are actually kinda hidden in the pictures, though.)
The person who informed me of this said she wasn't sure about this year's AX, but she thinks she definitely saw someone at AX 2011.
I've never been to AX at all, so I have no idea... honestly I hope all of this is just some sort of misunderstanding... D:
"No emotions for humans" or not, I don't find this 'awesome' or 'clever' at all... If you want to be cute please take it somewhere else. I find this quite serious (as would anyone in this situation) and I'd appreciate if you'd respect that.

Do you know how to sketch human figures but do you want to refine your anatomy skills? Or do you not know anatomy at all and you are tired to trust your imagination? Did you notice you create disproportions in your drawings?
If you are aspiring artists and you already have your own style, you might as well believe you have no need of a guide, but you are wrong. Before exaggerating human proportions and begin to have your own style, you first have to know the basics.
This little guide is the result of an accurate research and 5 years of high school of art, and it's created for all those who want to learn something new or just make a useful review.
For those who have already studied art, my suggestion is to go to step 6 or trying to repeat all steps in Digital format.
First of all, if you want to learn faster you should draw using traditi
