She smiles.A simple word, or two,She smiles.3 years ago in Visual & Found Poetry More Like This
Fireworks go off in her eyes,
Lighting up, amber grey,
Glittering gently, as the world stilled,
Soft lips, pulled gently to arc,
The gleam of pearl, no time for second glances,
An image transformed, as I am mystified,
A simple word, or two,
And a smile.
Fear FactoryA subconscious switch is flippedFear Factory3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
And the dormant machine awakens
The fear factory springs to life
Distribution is about to begin
Frightened thoughts invade the heart
They are compounded by the imagination
Inner demons are working overtime
Working to perfect fresh fears
There is no way to shut it down
Panic buttons just add fuel to the fire
Emotions don't mean much at all
As this industry is quite heartless
You can't escape your own thoughts
Paranoia knocks on the door
It has arrived to sell you more fear
And it makes a convincing case
This factory will always be producing
Designing doubts for you alone
Nobody can stop it's reign of pain
Maybe you'll learn to tune it out
I Am A Child.I am a child.I Am A Child.3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Unsure, yet unafraid.
Innocent, and carefree.
Surrounded by those who love me,
I have the luxury of taking things for granted.
I can afford to waste things like time,
I get what I need, and everything I want.
I am me, myself entirely, and I don't care what people say to it,
Because I am not aware.
I am ignorant, but I am proud.
I live in a world of princesses and knights,
Pirates and ogres.
I am me.
I am perfect.
I am a child.
