100 Species Challenge100 (non-extinct) Species Challenge100 Species Challenge4 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
This extreme challenge was loving created by me to try and get other artists out of their comfort zone. You get to pick a species to draw that falls under the category (all living animals are covered, only once, in this challenge) rather than having a set species. Simply draw an animal for each number and please link back to this deviation (or give me credit) for the challenge as I spent a fair few hours sorting this out.
Please don't modify and then claim it as your own. I will be doing a bird, mammal and chordata versions. This version was created for my group, Animal-Anatomy.
Example: rats, mice, squirrels, porcupines, beavers, guinea pigs, hamsters
Example: flatworms, hairy backs
Example: characins, pencilfishes, hatchetfishes, piranhas, tetras

They are taller than the average human. In human form they average 6'0" in males and 5'5" in females, where as in werewolf form, Gestalts average 6'7" in males and 5'10" in females.
Like all werewolf species they can be found worldwide. Gestalts originated in Russia with the highest density of these werewolves being here.
Gestalt's can live for over a hundred years. They are at there strongest around thrity to ninety years of age, but after about hundred and fifty years their strength diminshed to a point were they can no longer shift unless under extreme emotional stress.
Like all werewolves they have enlarged canines. They also have darker skin, hair and eye colours in human form due to the increased melanin in their bodies though it isn't uncommon to see a white or blonde Gestalt. A distinct feature of the Gestalt is that the base fur colour in werewolf form ca
Werewolves: LycansWerewolves of the SensesWerewolves: Lycans6 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
Scientific Name: Lupus vir
There is no noticeable difference in size between human and werewolf forms. They can be of any height due to the nature of these werewolves.
Like all werewolf species they can be found worldwide. There is no known origin of Lycans as their populations are often unpredictable, usually they rapidly increase in high human density areas and their either take over the area or are wiped out by hunters.
Lycans do not have an extended lifespan; if anything they have a very short one. Given their nature they become prime targets of hunters after they have become active after their first full moon after infection.
Like all werewolves they have enlarged canines though they don't have a distinct characteristic in human form.
In werewolf form, Lycans do not develop any body fur in their werewolf form. They look remarkably like humans when shifted with the exception of wolf-like c
