again a part with a lot of pieces the first five screenshots are again the pieces which are for the hip
i promissed that i make a few photos of this boosters well, these are a bit more complex as the others but base on the same technique
first i cut them out and build the single rings i also removed the tabs for the inside ring quite useless for me at the fourth photo you can see the final pieces because the sheets are designed for colored cardboard paper there are no tabs for the bottom piece where the peak as to be attached on so i just colored a little paper piece with black marker and glued it on top (you can see it at the left piece)
then i put some glue at the inside of the tube and put it on top of the inside ring after it's dry, i add the peak quite simple, if you know how it works
piece overview 1 as always, here are all pieces what you need for the hip
po2 again one of those problems when you work with normal paper to combine this pieces i just add a little tab at the backside and cut two lines into the base piece
po3 this one took me really long to figure out first i thought the smaller piece has to be attached to the hip base but that doesn't work because the black flat pieces where all the parts has to be attached fit exactly to the hip base so this was the only solution
i scratched the color where this pieces has to be combined
oh man, that took long but finally i can show you and share the final model of Tails
before you now download the model, print and start to build it without any background informations i have to warn you, building this model was just a pain is the ass and it was probably the hardest model i build so far and in my case that should mean something
even the editing was hell and meanwhile i know my job, but had i known that it would be that hard, i had edit the model much much more there are still a few issues in the mesh but no worries, i will explain everything in the building process shots.
i can't really say why it was so hard, there are not much pieces or rather, not more then other model i also cut the sheets in the best way i know, but to combine all the stuff, specially the wiskers, the chest and the tail pieces, was just ugh maybe because this time it was just something special the model is flying, the tail is quite the same size as the rest of the model and to find a working method to combine it with the torso took me a whole week but hey, it is working as you can see and that's part of the job, to find and solve issues of the own models
i also made a lot of photos this time, that you shouldn't have that much problems here
model description: the model will come on 37 pages with 265 pieces and is 45cm tall again, the model has a flying pose and will not stand anywhere it is very hard and has a lot of weird looking pieces
well, honestly, i don't know what i should write maybe i didn't realized that i'm finally done with this model.
it takes a horrible long time to build and sometimes i was about to give up, but after more than two month (effective building time) i can share this pictures with you
Fazit: the best decision was, to print the sheets on A3, because this model takes me to the limits and you should have a little bit more experience for this. the most parts are quite easy, but some pieces are hard as hell. you can see it in the "building process gallery"
specially the backpack was that part, that gives me more then one headache
but it was a challenge that I gladly accepted because this model is really unique and definitely an eyecatcher in every shelf ore something else.
the guys from "Just Paper" did a great job on this and if they ever decide to create an other one, i would build it too
IMPORTANT!! permission for upload given through NCsoft pls read this journal entry for more infos
the sheets are free and should remain so pls download and use them only for personal use otherwise i must remove them

it has been done ladies and gentlemen let me show you "The Lich" ... ayyyy i'm so happy and exited, this is defenitly one of my favorite models i've made so far and it turned out so awesome
and it really was about time that this is no done i had this over a year now on my pc or rather where i ask FirstKeeper for the original model
why this took so long? just simple, i didn't had the knowledge at this point to edit 3d models in that way that it work so i had to gain some experience first until i was ready to do this
but the waiting time was worth this is really an unique model which stands out of my normal fanart pieces and just to clear this even it looks like a model from WoW
this is NO fanart
this lich is designed as an OC and because i just owe her this i will handle it like that too that means i will decline every suggestion from a fanart group i hope you can understand this i'm not gonna put this in some sort of suitcase first i thought too that this something from DnD or an other RPG but she made this model on her own and she did just an awesome job it was just a pleasure and also a honor that i had the chance to build this
and if you say but in this or that game there is also a lich then you should take a look at wikipedia "what" a lich is
ok, enough talking let's see what you get here
file description: the file contains as always three pdo files one with texture and folding lines one with texture and without folding lines and one white version with folding lines
so you need the Pepakura Viewer what you can get "here"
all three pdo's are not protected so if you have the Designer, you can edit the sheets in the way you want
the original texture is NOT included only the my from the orb
model description: the model come on 44 pages with 301 pieces and is 45cm tall (without the pedestal)
the model is actually not hard but there are a lot tiny and special pieces so i would say the difficult level is about 8/10 if you have any trouble, feel free to ask me or/and take a look at the "building process gallery" where i explain how this and that is working
to download the model click on the download button on the right side you can thank dA for, that i can't write the direct link anymore
some word to the bloggers
because this is a collab, you have to give credits to FirstKeeper too! otherwise i can't allow it to write a blog entry
you have the permission to use my photos you DON'T have the permission to use her renders ore screenshot of it except she allow it
this model is a Deviantart only download so do not upload this model somewhere else and the most important thing
this model is free and should it be so let it be!
and trust me, i search for my stuff
feel also free to write a critique
p.s. sry for the bad photo quality the conditions at the moment are very bad and i didn't understand the setting of the phone camera
another custom modelled 3D papercraft based on 2D sprites. This time it's Princess Zelda, and she was actually a lot harder (to build the 3D model of) than Link because of the lack of any side or back sprites. I had to make up my own, which was the first time I've ever attempted something like that. Anyway, I'm very happy with how it came out, and I actually like her better than Link! Unsure whether to do some more complicated sprites next, or some enemies from Loz (the NES game.) Maybe it should be Ganon next...
Some horrible words from Paperkraft.net:[link] I'm sorry, but the original sprite looks like a troll. Just workin' with what I've got here. Haters gonna hate.
Sorry about the awful pic, guys! Photography is NOT my forte. Download here: [link]
