After serveral requests, I decided to upload a tutorial for my absinthe corset today. As you can see I used the same pattern for my steampunk corset dress Mademoiselle Émeraude Steam.
This tutorial shows an elaborate corset. Patterns can be found on the Internet at Burda / Simplicity or even online shops about historical patterns and corsets.
Many steps can be used for a simple corsage. The steps

Better yet, hateom has a HD video tutorial for you, along with some RAW files so you can follow along - as long as you have the right software. It's very much worth 20 minutes of your time!
Psychology meaning of doodles/drawings.*Disclaimer* not my own written work just a collection of notes from many sources.* Last Edit: 8/23/2014Psychology meaning of doodles/drawings.4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Many of us doodle and you may not realize it but doodles will actually tell you a lot about your personality and mood. The size, position as well as what the object(s) of focus of will lead you to some key clues. There are many different shapes, designs and colors of doodles, just as there are different dream scenarios, but there are some that are quite common and, as such, more easily interpreted.
Size and Placement
Large doodles that take most of your page, you are likely to be attracted to nature. Moreover, you might also have a reserved personality, but would want to socialize.
Small doodles on a corner of the paper suggest that the person is neat and organized in his/her ways. Because the drawing is placed on a side of the page, it shows that a person does not like wastage and prefers everything in its

And it goes even further with Worbla.
Today I want to tell you the theme "coloring".

Light has challenged Chiara with this one: and I think it's a great idea! It's not like the usual parameter pongs, but a co-operation between two artists with different styles, where the result shows off each artist's style. Just imagine Leichenengel's colourful psychedelic style with :devjimpan73: metallic spirals and shiny gems. Or LeonieZurakowsky's colourful plastic mandelbulb shapes with kr0mat1k's quirky metallic bul

Pony Plushie Giveaway!EDIT: Holy potatoes, Batman!Pony Plushie Giveaway!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've been trying to thank everybody individually, but that has proven a truly herculean task against the tsunami of messages and new faces washing over my inbox! I'll try to respond to everybody, but in case I don't, consider this my great big THANK YOU to everyone!
This is just...phenomenal beyond words. Thank you guys SO much, and best of luck to everypony!
After four and a half years of being here on DA, I've finally reached what I consider to be a rather impressive milestone--I've reached my 100th watcher! Frankly, I'm ecstatic to know that one hundred different people have viewed my art and decided that I am worth following--as an artist, I don't believe there is any greater compliment than that.
So in return for being so kind to me, I want to do something nice for all of you, my watchers!

Hello! It's C-91 here and, after people asking me tips on how to make flowers with Apophysis, I decided to write this introduction guide for the Fractal Week. There might be more in future.
Live with it: crafting flowers with Apophysis isn't the most original thing ever, but at least we can try to approach to the technique in another way and try to make them different from the multitude of results that can be found here on DeviantArt.
First of all, check the two blooms tutorials by lindelokse, which are the starting point for this technique:
Before we start...
Just so you know, 2D flowers are generally more versatile and suitable for crazy experiments than 3D ones. You can use more variations and plugins on 2D flowers without messing the shape up (and they will still be as spectacular as 3D flowers).

But here in german Cosplay scene, and perhaps also for many other countries it's really a novelty.
It can be used for paper decoration, for gemstones, paint and much more.

First of all , please introduce yourself to the community.
My name is Jess, I'm 23 and I live in Montana, USA, and if you ever want to talk to me I hang out in :#Aposhack: a lot.
Tell me how to call you? Do you go by your Name or an artistic pseudonym?
My name is fine. A lot of people here call me Far, which is also perfectly fine. Either works for me.
How did you discover deviantART ?
As I recall, I was linked to it from a Wheel of Time fansite a very long time ago.
What is your earliest Artistic memory ?
Oh, this is a hard one. I've probably been drawing since I had the motor skill to hold a marker. When I wa

Today, let's have a closer look to JanRobbe.
Hello JanRobbe! How are you today?
Okay I guess. Thanks for asking.
Can you please introduce yourself to the community?
Hi, I'm Jan Robbe, fractal apprentice and sounddesign enthusiast. I produce fractal prints and derivatives as FRAMEofMIND. I'm very much focusing on lighting design a lot these days.
How did you discover fractal art?
I came across art by lindelokse and even though I had some 3D modelling experience, it would've been impossible to recreate something like it w

Hello! Welcome to Project Educate Fractal Week. My mission this week is to try and explain what fractal art is, show you some programs used to create fractal art, and get you totally addicted to it like I am.
What is Fractal Art? i could copy something straight from wikipedia...or get one of my well versed fractal friends to give me a technical answer but....thats just not my style..
I dont really understand the math behind fractal art. I dont want to. I just want the tools to make beautiful images. Platinus once told me a painter doesnt really have to know whats in the paint or how the canvas was made to be able to create beautiful work so I live by those words. If you have been thinking about trying fractals but stopped because you dont know anything about the math requir

Attention all artisans: stop undercharging! As a member of the Artisan Craft community here at DeviantART, I looove to browse around the AC galleries and see what other deviants are up to, what things are trending, and look for up and coming artists to feature in the future. But sadly there's one trend I've been noticing that is very, very bad.Attention all artisans: stop undercharging!3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Undercharging your work!
Let's start off with the most important thing. Now I know some cheap buyers love these low prices, but let's be honest cheap buyers-- you're not long term supporters. People who want your work for super cheap are people who will haggle or snag a deal and run. There is nothing wrong with having sales, getting rid of old charms for cheap, or even doing discounts for special occasions but you can't cater to the cheapskates! xD You want people who appreciate handmade items for what they are. And that's a unique, quality piece.
If someone wants to buy all your hard work for just $5, perhaps you could redirect them to Forever21 to get some mass produced jewelry i

Below is the latest installment of my "favorite faves" -- the best, in my opinion, of works I faved recently. Some of these pieces you have no doubt seen; others you may be viewing for the first time. If you come across something you like please let the artist know -- give them some DA love in the form of faves and comments; also take a look at their galleries -- you might like their work so much you'll want to watch them!
Remember, everyone could use a little more DA love!
(Many of the works shown below are included in the galleries of two groups I founded. Visit Ugly-Mug-Portraits http://ugly-mug-portraits.deviantart.com/ and Surreal-Landscapes http://surreal-landscapes.deviantart.com/ to view even more incredible art created by very talented DA artists in need of your support!)
An Aereoscopic Adventure! An Aereoscopic Adventure!2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
i have always been a huge fan of art books. in fact i would say that 99 percent of my bookshelves are filled with art books ranging from animation to fashion design and everything visual in between. it was partly why i am so excited to have produced my own book, Walking Your Octopus. one of my goals with this project was to create an art book that was also an art object and this vision guided every aspect of the book's production. as we all know ebooks are becoming more and more popular and i struggled with how my book which was a celebration of all things analog might fit into the digital space. fortunately my very creative friend eric, had the solution...Aereoscope.

1. At school today there was a poster and some one drew a picture of Armin on it and it looked exactly like him and said Armin next to it SO YEAH IT WAS ARMIN.
I yelled "OH MY GOD ITS ARMIN!" and every one was like "WHERE?!" even though no one knew who Armin was XD
2. I saw a picture of Nicki Minaj and she had Armin's haircut.
3. I found out Armin's voice actor is a girl (thus adding to the evidence of my theory that Armin is indeed a girl)
4. I saw so many Jearmin pictures I just can't function what is life it is jearmin that is it ok yea
5. My teacher understands Miley Cyrus references, just sayin'.

Regarding CopyrightsIn light of all the problems people are having with other sites taking our fractals and using them as they see fit...i have put together some information...Regarding Copyrights3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The best advice in this post is: If you need legal counsel, then seek it. Don't get it from the internet or this post. Hire professionals who do it for a living, and for the love of god, don't defend yourself in court.
you all know i am not very technical so this is gonna be pretty rough at best but this is what i do if i find my art somewhere i don't want it.......
the first thing i do is contact the person displaying it and advise them all my images are copyright protected and please remove it....
then i wait a few days...
if the image is still there then i send the site an email with this form.....keeping things professional at this point is a must...and just sending an email asking them to remove the image will not work......here is the form i use
