I was walking along the shopping district alone. I've already told my best friends Yukari and Nanase that I wont be able to hang out with them today. I had other plans. It has been two months now since Kazuma took my hair in his hands gently and sniffed on it. That day I felt so loved. I thought this feeling would remain forever, I thought we would finally get together....But...it's actually all back to how it was before. I think he just can't forget Tsui-Ling after all. Sure, it's hard but he has to move on otherwise the sadness is going to kill him. I can't stand to see him suffer by himself anymore, I want to comfort him, I want to be there for him when he feels sad and lonely. Because....I love him so much. I have never told him that, perhaps that's the reason why we aren't a couple yet. But I just don't have the guts to tell him that. I am scared of his reaction and I don't want to feel the pain of being rejected by the man I love so much. I think I just couldn't take it

The grass was soft against my face as I glanced up to the night sky. Within the bright dots, I could make out different constellations within them, and the stories that they told. This is what the boredom had drove me to, the stars. I never really had days off from duty, but today they had given me one.
"You deserve it," the Lieutenant had said to me. "You've worked really hard these last few weeks. Take the day off tomorrow and enjoy yourself."
Of course, I disagreed strongly with him, because working was all that kept me going, it didn't make me feel normal. I was a hero, and that's what I loved. I loved the exhilaration of the fight, that was my reward. Bullets darting past me, due to the poor gunmanship of my enemies. My work also involved me travelling all across Cocoon. I loved the beautiful cities. My favourite was Palumpolum, the tourist attraction. I remembered my last mission there two years ago, when I had to apprehend some L'Cie. The mission had been too simple, t

"It won't do us any good sitting around, either."
"Sunshine, we both know that you and I are tired as hell. Now stop being stubborn."
Lightning frowned, loathing to admit that the Pulsian was right. The fight with the stray juggernaut had worn them out, and her muscles were begging for mercy. Any leader would have agreed with the Pulsian's more rational plan. A good leader would have.
But she wasn't one. "You rest up then. I'll find you after I find the others."
Fang sighed. "You know that's a stupid idea. Stop pushing yourself so hard; we'll find 'em."
Lightning continued to stand there, with her back to the warrior. She groaned. "Do I have to hold you down against your will?"

Lightning felt her gut twist in guilt again as the boy smiled at her widely, balancing the giant yellowed tome on his lap. It was as big as his torso- he only had one hand free to keep it from toppling sideways and flip the pages at the same time.
-And whose fault is that?
The campfire provided just enough light for him to decipher the strange rune-like characters. Sazh and Snow were sitting across the fire, chatting quietly, with the occasional glance at their leader. They weren't glaring, no, they wouldn't dare- but she could feel disapproval in their glances that weighed heavily on her shoulders, as if the air was laden with lithium instead of oxygen.
"It's got some great vocabulary in it- I was just working on my Pulsian. Since you guys won't let me do anything," he scowled, half-teasing.
It was true, none of the group had allowed Hope to do any of his normal chores while they were setting up camp and cooking
VI. SlumberIt passed half and a week after Lightning's return to the Guardian Corps' ranks, during which an unspoken daily routine was established between the two friends: in the morning both attended their work –Lightning woke up earlier than Hope– and they didn't come back home until evening; they usually had dinner together, but sometimes they were assigned night shifts and had to stay working until dawn, and when they came home the other one had already gone to work.VI. There was so much to do, both in the Guardian Corps and the Academy. Hope and Lightning had no choice but to work exceptionally hard, and sometimes they didn't see each other in all day.
It was a weird situation, Hope thought one night in which Lightning was in an unplanned night shift and therefore he was alone at home. Knowing that his friend was near, solitude wasn't so harsh. But, even so, he felt a void those nights in which they didn't see each other at all.
In theory, it didn't have to be so. They were just fri

Hillarie Winchester swiped angrily at her brow, relieving it of the sweat that accumulated there. She was back in this God-forsaken but beautiful Maya Jungle, where only a month and a half ago she had her near-death experience with a tiger the size of a Chicago city bus and for the first time met a rather handsome but incredibly devious naga. Unlike last time, she had traveled alone, leaving Michael behind. He was more than ecstatic to remain in Chicago. She, on the other hand, was well beyond done with everything, including this job, this jungle, the animals...
"And the friggin' BUGS!" She smacked the back of her neck where a mosquito had decided to try and grab a quick drink, wincing at the slight sting. She made a noise of disgust when she pulled her hand back to see the rather gruesome mess it had left behind. Hastily she tried to wipe it off the best she could before continuing her trek,

I snap out of my daydream after hearing her voice and begin to chuckle to myself. How foolish of me to be standing here without addressing myself for she must have not realized it was me standing before her.

But, against all odds, it had arrived. Challenging fate, time and death itself, in a world that had just come back from a long illness caused by the Chaos of Valhalla.
The long-awaited wedding of Serah and Snow.
It was a beautiful though simple ceremony. There were not so many intact resources in the world and everything would take a long time to return the way it once was. Not to mention they had come back to the year 500AF, after Cocoon’s crystal pillar collapsed, and Bhunivelze no longer hung in the sky over Gran Pulse.
Fortunately, New Bodhum still was in one piece, and though it had grown since its construction, as they expected, it was still a small coastal village, calm and peaceful. The old NORA house was still there, and despite all the years that had passes, the couple would go back to their home.

Decaying of loneliness

So much love . . . I might start to choke
I hope you do too
It practically became a type of acid
. . .a more powerful type than any other known on earth.
It burns through your muscle and leave you looking as if your body had been decaying for years.
[and] This is how you make my heart feel, even after you broke it.
Except the butterflies are now . . . sharp.
So, like it or not.

Her warm heart has no choice
A thousand tears she's learned to hide
The surface seems so strong
My heart would lead me to her side
Right now it just seems wrong
Despite her sorrow she fights on
Strange weights tear her apart
She's got strong friends to call upon
But I'll protect her heart
This strong willed beauty calls to me
Bright eyes are locked with mine
Something inside she seems to see
For her I'll learn to shine
It seems she has regained her fire
Though inside she still grieves
Her iron will I must acquire
My warm tears fall like leaves

The voices question my sanity until even I think I'm crazy
They tell me that I'm all alone, that no one stands by me,
They say I'm unwanted and feed on my fears,
They claim that when I cry no one sees or hears my tears,
That no one cares when I cry,
That no one will miss me when I die
When I'm angry or sad, they whisper in my ear
To eliminate the source of my pain, but I choose not to hear
Because I don't want to hurt anyone, to kill,
So then they tell me I should die, but I live through sheer will,
Hope that one day I'll wake up and the voices will be gone,
But I don't see how - they've been with me so long,
Questioning everything about me 'til I think I'm the worst,
Saying that the worst day in history was the day of my birth
The voices hurt me mentally, emotionally,
Sometimes they even hurt me physically
It's hard to live with them, to share my mind,
To feel like my brain isn't

Seconds later, her partner's voice, slightly hoarse, came through the wireless device she always had attached to her right ear.
That answer so brief, besides the previous yawning, plus the fact that Hope had been lately taking a long time to make any comments when he used to spend most of the time speaking with her, made Lightning sigh. She glanced at the sky; it was getting dark, which meant they had been almost three days working coordinately without pauses of any kind.
