My Greenman mask in Mardi Gras colors. Metallic green and pearl purple.
Hand sculpted in 4-5oz veg tanned leather. Painted with acrylics.
The origin of this color combo was a fun discovery. I had a regular all green Greenman mask hanging on a hook and a smaller eye mask painted purple was laying on top of it. The combo looked great together.

Wearable art mask. Sculpted from one piece of leather. Painted with acrylics. This is the largest and most ambitious mask I have created in leather so far. I love that you can create something this large in leather yet it still weighs very little and is comfortable to wear.
This mask has sold but a similar mask may be ordered. [link]

An ancient symbol of growth and fertility, the Green Man is a popular motif for mask-makers. I've taken great pains to make the leaves look as realistic as possible by recreating dew drops and glossy leaves and adding leaf speckles with paint droplets.
Carved and layered in three separate layers of leather, painted with acrylics, and sealed with varnish. The glossy leaves and dew drops are not actually wet, but were made to look this way with resin droplets and Gloss varnish.
This mask is signed and dated by the artist and is affixed to the face with elastic. The backside of the mask that touches the face has been lined with moleskin in key locations for maximum comfort.
For Sale on Etsy and ArtfireA 2nd try at this mask. You can see the first here:
Mighty Kushiel, of rod and weal Late of the brazen portals With blood-tipp'd dart a wound unhealed Pricks the eyen of chosen mortals.
- Prayer to Kushiel, Angel of Punishment. From Jacqueline Carey's series of Kushiel's Legacy books.
This was actually a prize for a winner over at #Nights-Doorstep, meaning they get the prototype! Blending a graceful Venetian style with the themes of Phèdre, the heroine of the books who is often symbolized with the rose and the flail which mark her as one of Kushiel's Chosen, blessed and cursed to feel pain as pleasure.
Carved from 8 oz leather, painted with acrylics, and sealed with satin varnish. Held securely to the face with elastic bands. Signed and dated on the back by the artist.
A new mask design in a new series, combining two contrasting elements in wildly different colours. The lower portion of this mask is painted in midnight blue with shimmery royal blue highlights, with a touch of silver. The blue blends up into fiery red and warm gold feathers that resemble flames. This mask is extremely showy and would be sure to command a lot of attention at a masked ball, or hanging on your wall as an art piece.

The mask is painted both inside and out to seal and protect it. It is lightweight, flexible, and very comfortable to wear. It comes with two removable ties attached. Great for use as part of a costume, or for display on the wall. The size of the piece is approximately 13.5" wide by 12" tall.
Each mask is an original, hand-sculpted work of art, using no forms or moulds, and is signed inside with my monogram.
