Max listened to Emma's soft voice strain after reading aloud for two hours. Settled in her bed with her feet tucked under her, Emma read to him every night. A hint of rasp scuffed the lyrical recitation and she turned the page of the printed book. The paper had cost her a week's pay, necessary because the novel was unspoken contraband, but he treasured these moments. Hearing the controversial tale in her voice settled warmth inside him and, he suspected, the emotion was contentment.
At the end of the chapter she looked up. Her mahogany colored eyes were soft and the corners of her full mouth tipped up. "Are you sleeping?"
He shook his head and leaned forward in his chair, resting his elbows on his knees. "Please continue."
She fulfilled his request and tucked her flaxen hair behind her good ear. The left one, burned off in combat, she kept hidden and tilted away from his gaze. Feminine gestures of that nature had been his first indication Emma had feelings for
His LoveHis love is like roses in a field of dead leaves. His Love9 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
His love is as rare as a white christmas in the desert.
His love is more flowing than the blood in my veins,
And as calming as any wave in the sea.
His love is like shelter from a raging tornado.
His love makes me feel as beautiful as any sunrise or sunset.
His touch is as gentle as a spring rain.
His voice lifts me high upon rainbows.
His hair glitters and falls like raven silk.
His skin smooth as ivory and perfect like diamonds.
His sapphire eyes glow with azure enchantment.
His kiss can raise the dead.
His embrace can lift you up
To the moon and the stars.
If there is such a heaven,
It is sharing my love with him.
Forevermore will my heart only beat for him.
Forevermore will every breath whisper his name.
Forevermore will I yearn to hear the symphony
Of music I hear when he speaks...
Oh, how I let myself melt when he lies next to me.
I am at peace when his head is upon my shoulder.
He is my one and only.
He is my everything.

Her father, the man that banished her from the heavens, must be satisfied. He now held the power, the power that should have been for her. Her grandfather knew that his son would control with a wicked hand, but she was too young and powerless to stop him from taking the scepter. If only she was older.
She continued to cry as the rain began, pasting her shimmering white hair to her legs.

The girl looked up to a pearl coloured cat perched upon a barrel.
"What is your name young one?"
The cat closed its eyes and gave a faint smile. "That is a name I haven't heard for sometime…I am Sola a fallen angel like yourself…"
Tear looked away with her pale blue eyes. She could still not ac

Knowing you must tell
Dreadful and confining

Quelling uncertainty with courage
Dreadful and uncomfortable

It's written all over your face
I can see it in your eyes"
Oh how you love your self
It's as plain as the eye can see
There's nothing else you think about
It's just "me me me"
Get a clue in life buddy
The world doesn't revolve around you
The cosmos aren't decided
Based on what you do
You think you look so cool
Driving around in your convertible car
But you're just trying to cover up
Who you really are
You're the scared little boy
That doesn't want to be rejected
You lie when you look in a mirror
So you don't hate what's reflected
But karma will come back
To bite you in the ass
And before you know it
Your youth will be in the past
And when you look around one day
You'll see that you're all alone
No wife to love you
No kids to make a happy home
So re-think your words
And to your self stay true
And then maybe one day
Someone will love you

“J-john.” Despite the coarse voice, clearly dehydrated and in pain, John would recognize the timbre anywhere. Sherlock was still half hidden in shadow, clutching his left arm tightly. A closer look revealed it was dislocated. Sherlock had a scar just on the edge of the right side of his jaw now, almost invisible unless you were as short as John was. Sherlock’s coat was gone and his shirt had so many bloody tears in it you couldn’t tell it had once been white. Sherlock’s leg was bleeding too and he had a very serious limp. His fingertips were smooth, like someone had attempted to remove h

He could hear nothing except for his own breathing. His heart was pounding in his chest and his eyes darted to the left and to the right. He was alone. All alone. Not lost, for lost would imply that he had no idea which direction would be the right one to take to reach his destination, and that was just plain wrong. He knew very well where he had to go, he was just ... not entirely certain how he could get there.
It didn't help that everything looked exactly alike. Really, would it have killed the Jötnar to build roads or at least paths so that not every visitor were to be as lost - no, not lost, but alone - in this Hel of snow and ice? No wonder they did almost never get any visitors (which was probably what they wanted), no wonder nobody in the Nine Realms liked them (which was not entirely true), no wonder bedding a Jötun was something rare and special - noboby could freaking find them (which only made them all the more desirab

Loki is pregnant, coming back as an exile in chains from the final events from the Avengers movie. Nobody seems to know about his ongoing pregnancy, nor the father of the child. Loki doesn't know how to handle it, from bearing the child, to his constant thoughts that he will be killed, surely, for the crimes he had committed.
But what is he to do when he's welcomed back home with open arms? What if, although still at fault for the horrors he had done in childish vengeance, his old friends, his family, still missed him so incredibly? Would Loki have the growing courage to speak of the unborn child? And, above all else, would he manage to fix the broken bond and heart he once had with not only Thor, but with himself?

"Who is he? Tell me about him." she whispered as Madeleine walked by and looked at the two of you.

The wind whipped outside. The windows rattled, the curtains shivered. In the thick of the warm room cracks of cold crawled on their bellies from beneath the doors and floorboards. Their ominous creak approached a figure. Whirling, the small figure's dark hair flew. He grabbed his book from a sliver of moonlight and slid behind a table, pulling a blanket over his head. In his chest, his heart pounded, his breath pushing dust balls along the hardwood. Silent praying could not save him, though, and his dread mounted as a warm, deep voice wafted through the room from directly above him.
"Hamish," it said gently, removing the blanket from the figure's face. Crystal blue eyes met one another. "It's far too late to be reading." Sherlock reached out and gathered the boy in his slender arms, reaching next for the book he had been reading. His dark robe pulled back and the pale arm came forth to gather the fragile pages delicately.

John flicked his eyes at the detective, already frowning from his favorite arm chair.
“What is it, Sherlock? And I’m not making you any more tea.”
The younger man sighed dramatically, lowering the bow to his violin once more and coaxing out a few melancholy notes. The early morning sun light was streaming in through the dirty windows, giving John a nice view of his pajama-clad and sleep-ruffled boyfriend.
After a moment he sighed, rolling his eyes, as he brought his tea cup to his lips and turned his attention back to the telly. Sherlock quietly placed his violin on the window sill and stepped nonchalantly in front of the ex-soldier.
John huffed, bending around Sherlock to place his tea cup pointedly on the table before turning his eyes back to the detective’s. Those bloody brilliant ice blue-green eyes were no doubt deducing John’s every movement already.
“What do you want, Sherlock?”

Heading back to the large gates of Asgard happened in silence. Thor tried to make small talk about the other Avengers and their incomprehensible Midgardian habits but had trouble avoiding a few pitfalls when doing so. Besides, Loki wouldn't talk back because he was afraid his voice would be recognized, even though they were alone on the bridge, nobody would hear them out there. They stopped at the golden slabs of metal. They made any man feel puny, yes even the hulk. They were massive, proud, truly fit as the only way in and out of Asgard. The only physical way in. Loki's mind corrected him. He knew a few others, very few though and he was fairly sure he was the only one. The massive wall of gold was but interrupted by a seam that was not even big enough to fit a finger between. And then the real walls stretched onwards out of sight.
"You haven't seen them for long, have you?" Thor concluded as he watched Loki brush his fingers over the strong surface.

They had landed in Asgard not but a few weeks ago, and still no word on the progression of Loki's trial. Thor knew no one would care, and it was quite possible Loki himself did not, but there was one left in Asgard that did. He did. And not knowing was killing him.
Silence. What he could not stand, and yet knew he desperately needed.
Immediately after escorting Loki to the dungeons, he had met with the Allfather to try and see what Odin's plan was for his brother. What resulted was a shouting match which led to him almost being banished; again. Odin had spoken of Loki to be put to trial, but had not given even Thor any details of when and how the trial was to be carried out.
Confused and somewhat insulted that the Allfather did not trust him yet enough to once more include Thor in his plans, he had lashed out at the old god. Letting his confusion and anger cloud his judgment, Thor stormed ou

This time, I was with Nadya at her house.
"I'll make him fall for you! You'll see~"
I giggled and smiled. She's such a good friend. But this made me think. 'Why would she help me with this if she always says I should forget Vladimir?' I pondered this question for a while as she tried to think at something. I finally took some courage and called Nadya.
"Nadya, may I ask you something?"
"Yes?" She asked.
"Why are you helping me with this?"
She turned at me and smiled. "Because you're my friend, of course."
"Yes, yes. But you always said that I should forget him since he's not who he was once." I was really curious to know why she's doing this. I appreciate her attitude, but as anyone else, I'm curious.

"Yes, you did," the man said. "Would you like to see her?"
The man reached under his cape and pulled out a clear, crystal orb. He twirled it around his hand, then an image came up inside it. A goblin was handing a crying Carly a glass of warm milk.
"She's all right," you sighed in relief.
"Surely you didn't think I would harm her?" the Goblin King said.
"I didn't know."
"It's late, my dear. You should get yourself to bed. Forget your sister and rest."
You looked up at the blond man, shocked.
"I can't just leave her! She needs to be at home! She's so scared!"
"[Name], forget her."
He smirked again.
"Well then, I'm going to offer you a choice."
"What is it?"
Your house vanished, replaced by a dusty hill overlooking the Labyrinth.
