Another Godzilla, but no Symbiote this time. Instead, The Hulk has decided to join the fight. It's kinda one-sided though, unfortunately. I mean, The Hulk was created by radiation, making Godzilla's radioactive breath mostly useless. All he can really rely on is his brute strength and amazing stamina, with which the Hulk is no stranger. So, as much as I hate to admit it, I'm afraid the Hulk may well be the victor here.
Maybe Godzilla will get his re-match after he fuses with the Symbiote. Maybe I'll develop this into a full-fledged fanstory. But maybe not. Who knows.
One thing I do know is that this picture is nothing but a first draft. There will be a cleaned up version, but I don't know when.
One of the films I've probably seen the most of as a kid. This was often on TV, I loved Titanosaurus. I just thought she was a pretty addition to Godzilla. Shame they never featured her again. I loved the moments Mechagodzilla's fake skin was pierced and his overall reveal. Ace!
Another drawing I'm hoping to get coloured for the London Film and Comic Con this coming July. I can't even remember the last time I sat and drew a full scene with Godzilla... I've recently tended just to do head sketches.
I need to work on my scale. And my scales.
EDIT: The magnificent has done me a blinder on the colours for this piece, which I have now replaced the lines with. If I were an attendee of the LFCC and not there to work I'd buy a print of this myself!
Alright, I decided I'd try coloring 's epic tribute to 's Godzilla Neo series. Super Godzilla vs Bagan, the battle to end all others. Took me a hell of a long time to get around to coloring it and then to actually color, but I think it was totally worth it.
