Risen OldThe old ways have been washed away.Risen Old4 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Nearly lost to times decay.
Sacred lands razed, great halls caved.
To them all, they took the flame.
As they spread their lies and passed the blame.
The names of their sins were placed upon our heads.
So branded we are, to this day.
Those who follow the Pagan way.
Singing Steel, Olden Ways.Where have all the old ways gone?Singing Steel, Olden Ways.4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Are the old stories still told?
Are the old songs still sung?
Does the old steel still shine?
Cryptic marks in ancient texts,
Written not by Pagan hands,
Branded us with the crosses sins,
And made us to waste away under its shadow.
Cursed we are to this day,
To be the heathens of histories halls.
They remember only the blood spilled,
And never the reasons why.
Our old gods remade,
Cast as demons of cloven hoof.
Our old rituals deemed profane,
Only practiced by sinful hands.
Are you indeed lost in these words?
Shall you fall into these lies?
Neigh, I feel the fire in your heart!
Ancient blood burns in your veins!
Hot sweat graces your brow!
Now let me hear your battle cries!
Cast off the chains and ignite the shadows!
Let them burn away under the night sky!
A pyre to their hate!
A martyr to their sins!
Thunder cracks, the gods shall cheer!
A storm rises upon the horizon.
With the wind at our backs,
And the glory in our hearts,
We march to a new dawn!

Seams of gold on the expanse of black,
The network of amber laces and veins,
Run freely over the stygian plains.
The webs of auric glamour sprawl,
Across the inky onyx ball,
Connected so by delicate strands,
Tiny hair-like golden bands.
Such beauty viewed from such a height,
A city viewed from the sky at night,
Viewing the lamplight's gilded litter,
Through windows thick with argentum glitter.
The silver frost that paints the panes,
Partners the shining aurelian chains,
Gold and Silver on the ebony sheet,
Viewed from thirty thousand feet.

This morning, however, was different.
It was cold, so bitterly cold. And it was so quiet, so lonely in the house. Toris couldn't help but remember what it had been like, trapped out in the frozen wastelands of Siberia, in Russia's house where the heating had never worked properly. He would swear he heard General Winter cackling outside, blowing the drifts against his door. God, he was cold. He could swear he saw icicles creeping down the walls, frost dusting the chairs. And outside, icy violet eyes staring

A green-clad blur raced into the room, diving under the covers. Feliks jumped at the ice-cold limbs as
L's Cake-Finding AdventureI like cake. I enjoy it very much, and my mental abilities increase by seven percent when I am eating it. The reasons for such are these: it is delicious, often colorful, and contains much sugar. I particularly enjoy strawberry cake, because strawberries are juicy and have a pleasing red color. But all types of cake are fun.L's Cake-Finding Adventure6 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
So, it is understandable why I was so devastated when Watari reported that the stock of desserts and pastries he always had saved had finally become empty. My first reaction was to chew on my right thumbnail while staring sadly at my empty plate. It was very unfortunate that I had already eaten every crumb of the bit of cake I had been eating. Very unfortunate.
Watari coughed conspicuously; I assumed this was an attempt to remind me that he was there. I had not forgotten, but he was, naturally, stressed, so it would have been easy to make this mistake. I swiveled my chair around, sighing as I noticed the empty tray he was carrying. There is no cake in any of

Applejack sighed and when she saw Rainbow smiling at their friends said, "You know I agree with you, Rainbow."

The four ponies arrived at their table and Fluttershy was about to sit down, but was stopped by Pinkie.

"Oh, thank you, Pinkie." Fluttershy blushed and took her seat.
Pinkie sat next to Fluttershy and placed a hoof on hers.

But continues to write,
'I have to finish this entry' she thinks, 'Must tell'
It's harsh out there,
All Anne has is this diary for her keeping,
It holds history, tragedy and secrets,
She quickly finishes the entry she is working on, closing the book and stuffing it in between her arm and side,
She stays in the corner, all cold and hungry as usual,
Listening to all the deaths happening in the distance,
She sits there, wanting to cry, but too tough to do so, though she's been through so much, Its okay if she cried,
She hates her life now, but doesn't want to stop living,
Life as she knew it,
It's so brutal out there, that a Nazi would point his gun at a sun flower for being bright.

Fluttershy and Pinkie shared a sleeping bag and were lying alongside each other. Rainbow Dash couldn't help smiling at the sight of the yellow pony covering Pinkie with one of her wings. Pinkie had her face close to Fluttershy's ear, and she ruffled her mane with almost each breath. Both ponies slept soundly with smiles on their faces.
Rainbow touched her head and thought, 'It's worth it to see them happy.' She knew that she wouldn't be able to get any more sleep tonight, so she tried to get off the couch. The floor felt strange and when Rainbow looked down, she was confused for a moment.
Underneath her, curled up and sleeping, was an orange figure

Fluttershy was stopped and the blindfold was removed.

Fluttershy opened her eyes and her joy was quickly replaced with confusion. The room was sloppily decorated. In fact, the room was her home, and it was trashed. There was a large banner that read, "Happy Loser

So we went over to my sister's new apartment. She's in some weird artistic intellectual mode and served us things like caviar and cheap Merlot. It was just a little one-bedroom, and every available surface was covered in books with broken spines, on odd subjects like ethnobotany and male pregnancy. These belonged to her new boyfriend, some kind of doctor. I met him once and he really creeped me out a little, eyes like Rasputin or something, but Ma couldn't be happier.
"This is all you can afford on David's salary?" Ma asked of the apartment.
"He's just an intern," said Lisa, "and this is all we're going to need. Look at that view! You can see all across the Sound, it's gorgeous. You can make out every tree on every island."
"But what if you ever want kids? You'll have to move." Ma smeared some caviar on a stone-ground wheat cracker and took a nibble. "Say, this is delicious. I never had caviar before. I heard it was supposed to be salty, but this is just nice".

It passes through the darkness, filters through the clouds, mingles with starlight, and finds its way to my heart on the path of a sunbeam.
I have anguished over the cry of a hare choked in the noose of a snare, a sparrow tumbled from the nest of its mother, a child thrashing helplessly in a pond, and a son shredding his blood on a cross.
Know that I hear you, also. Be at peace. Be calm.
I bring thee relief for your sorrow for I know its cause ... and its cure.

You weep for all your self-esteem that has been corrupted by failure.

You look upon yourself with disgrace and you turn in terror from the image you see in the pool. Who is this mockery of humanity staring back at you with bloodless eyes of shame?

Frank sat at the table turning the napkin over in his hand. He'd chosen a quiet corner, away from prying eyes and was tentatively sneaking glances around the booth seat at the entryway. Adam was only a little bit late, he shouldn't have been thinking about college already. Jensen was better than that and he hadn't given any indication that things had changed. They were almost comfortable with each other and this was one of those defining moments between them. They'd promised to come here, work out where they stood with each other, make this thing official. He checked the brass clock on the wall in the opposite corner. He was just about fifteen minutes late. He wondered if Adam hadn't noticed the time. The sun still hadn't set, although natural light barely filtered down through the apartment blocks and the brown haze of the place.
