Thoughts on the Disney Afternoon ...Of all kids channels that have turned into rubbish those years, no channel has fallen from grace worse than the Disney Channel. It has gone from a network that showed great stuff (and featuring some of the greatest characters of all time...) to a network that caters to teenage idiots or an imaginary demographic (though to be fair , Cartoon Network is pretty guilty of this too. But we've already spoken of that garbage already ...)Thoughts on the Disney Afternoon ...2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Since I am in the mood of reminding any of you , dear readers, of the true Disney world, I think it is time to chat about the old shows they have been making . This was a time where they put EFFORT in their stuff rather than the tweencoms that whatever decerebrated moron thought were a good idea . This is the time where guns COULD BE SEEN IN A CARTOON AND THEY SHOULD FOR FUCK SAKE! These are also cartoons that entertained kids AND adults.
So let us go through these one by one (at least those I watched !) to see what they did right or wrong . And you,my dear pu

Walter Elias Disney.
If not for this man and his dreams, movies and cartoons would never be the way we see them these days, there wouldn't be a magical land where dreams come true, we wouldn't know that when you make a wish upon a star you're dream may come true, and Mickey Mouse would never be our best friend in our hearts.
Let us give thanks to Mr. Disney for living and making us know that dreams really do come true.
Who wants a new contest?Hey fellow Warriors fans! Happy New Year to you all!Who wants a new contest?3 years ago in Personal More Like This
How about starting into the new 2013 with a nice Warriors contest? A new book series has been announced for this April as far as I know, so that's really exciting! I think I am SO going to read the new books, especially since they are going to be about the Old Clans, the first Warriors, that sounds extremely promising.
But back to the initial topic, let's have a contest! It won't start right now, we first have to decide on a topic.
My suggestion is a
Warriors Crossover Contest
in which you take human or animal characters from books, movies or video games and make them interact with Warriors.
So for example you could take Harry Potter, draw Harry, Ron and Hermione as cats and imagine what they would do in the Warriors world. Or how about cat-forms for the Avengers? A cat Hulk, cat Captain America and cat Iron Man?
There are no limitations, you could draw them taking over the world, using superpowers or whatever.

Even people from other countries can help us out over here so there isn't a mass deactivation.
Searching up on this topic will yield very little information as it was recently shared with the public.
The United States Congress is debating whether to pass a bill that allows companies to infringement your art for commercial use.
In simpler terms: It will allow any company to steal your: characters, art, sketches, photography, paintings, etc. because they are considered "orphaned" if not part of a company.
They don't even have to tell you that they're using the art/characters.

Day 1: Serendipity
Day 2: Momentous
Day 3: Transcend
Day 4: Whimsical
[Star!]Day 5: Heartstrings
[Star!]Day 6: Faded
[Star!]Day 7: Seasons
You guys sent in some great ideas! It took us hours to decide which ones to choose. But in the end, we went with the most creative, abstract, and conceptual themes. Simpler themes would have lead to a hundred of the same drawing, but the words you all sent in are GIANT umbrellas to much smaller prompts.
For instance, many of you sent in ideas like nostalgia, time, memory, future, generations, etc. and momentous can cover all of that. Everyone wins with this theme.
Then we have Seasons, which was chosen based on popular demand.
Just for clarification,

Roleplaying anywhere public must remain PG-13.
The events of the stories in Dawn-Of-Warriors are laid out by the Admins of the group, please do not create your own plots, this includes spotting predators on the territory, Dark Forest Visits and skirmishes on the borders.
We have activity checks in each Clan usually once a month or every two months, please make sure you keep on top of these.
When Roleplaying with others please be respectful. We have 'zero tolerance' for bullying, swearing and fighting amongst members, particularly where it's public.

UPDATE: please read the updated rules. Even if you are a strict follower of them, it is a good idea to freshen up on them once and a while. Please read them all and read them well, as you only get one to two warnings of rule abuse before you are kicked from our group. Thank you~ 0CAT
We wish for the roleplay to be PG-13. If you swear, please try to use Warrior-appropriate remarks (i.e. 'mousebrain,' 'foxface'). We ask that you do not roleplay anything sexual within the group.

In this case, this means please listen to mods and your leaders/deputies/any high rank.

In my junior high school days, I was made fun of by the popular girls(one of them is a ringleader and is a daughter of a principal) for playing video games, watching cartoons like Pokemon, watching Discovery Channel, and reading books. According to them, it's not 'cool' for a 13-14 year old girls to be into that stuff. All teen girls should not read, they should wear makeup, wear slutty clothes, be dumb as rocks, party all the time, failing school, getting in trouble with the law, disrespect the parents, and sleep around with the boys you just met. Gee, I'm so sorry that I'm not interested in sex with someone I barely knew or that I should give up my interests and force myself to do that to make them happy but not caring a damn thing about me.
I'm childfree and getti
Epic Mickey planned as four-game storyline arcGame designer Warren Spector recently revealed just how epic he has been planning the Epic Mickey series to be, explaining that from the outset he had envisioned it spanning four separate games.Epic Mickey planned as four-game storyline arc3 years ago in Personal More Like This
In an interview with MCV, Spector explained that when it came time to start on the sequel to Epic Mickey, he was hardly taken off guard, as he had several additional games planned from the very beginning. "Before the first Epic Mickey I actually had a four-game storyline arc, and I had at least three games worth of the 'game innovation' to introduce," he said. "So the idea of two-player co-op and songs in the second game was something I knew I wanted to do before I started the first."
Spector went on to discuss how the story of the games have continued to evolve and change throughout the development process, even though he had much of it planned a while back.
We never really do the stories I come up with, because we can always come up with better ones once we've lived in a game's wor

For many of us, the first “art gallery” to command our attention (and constant, even daily, monitoring) in our
lives existed within the pages of the local newspaper. It was called “the movie section” and its ever-changing movie
advertisements were like little frames that rarely contained less than pure magic for young imaginations.
The Film Poster has existed since the earliest days of silent movies and the pulse-elevating excitement of the
first sight of an upcoming adventure, action, or sweeping love story that we might have only “heard good things about”
still packs a psychic punch throughout movie lovers today.

Nuances of an Annual Ritual
Which brings us to each year’s communal celebration of the passing of our lifetimes:
New Year’s Eve
So what did you “actually get done” in the past year? How closer are you to a grand goal in life? An assessment is made and then the inevitable Step 2 of the yearly process is engaged, which is often a word for word repeat of last year’s Step 2:
The New Year’s Resolution
There seem to be two main strategies that emerge at this point of facing the New Year, a “brand new morning.” The lone wolf quietly acknowledges goals not yet reached, and is even more secretive in the “new plan.” “I’ll show them,” becomes the new privat

And so, here I am! I've been working on said picture for two hours now and have quite a nice frame to work with!
I've already done most of the underlying colours and some of the colours that lie on top, so I decided that while everything's going well, I would live stream it X)
It's going to be one hell of a ride, - I'll be referencing work from real digital artists along the way so that I can teach myself how to draw through their work. It may look like a blatant rip-off, but everyone knows my work has always been a collection of borrowed skills anyway, plus, I drew it from scratch without tracing so technically it is all me X)

Well I worked for 5 hours straight and I'm very proud of what I managed to create! ^.^

When in contemplation of the eternal wellspring that is the deviantART project and how it has become the engine keeping my heart and mind on a full burn as I strive to be an upstanding member of the community as well as a helpful architect and eager participant in the conversation -- my thoughts inevitably settle upon my attempts to define my concept of Gratitude.
