started life as a cherrilee/cherryblossom and was dyed using rit, and given gradient black also with rit. i gave her a quick lil symbol of chrysanthemums
Chrysanthemum: Excellent when presented as a gift to someone, the Chrysanthemum signifies a life of ease. Buddhists are fond of using this flower as offerings on alters. Symbolic of powerful Yang energy, this flower is an attractant of good luck in the home.
i also added pheonix feathers at her tail and over her TE's, and eventually made a lil pheonix charm originally for her mane but it ended up being better in her tail.
hair is venom, black magic and white witch, straw curls and fun twists, jewelry is made from gold craft wire, and the corset is real leather with some glitter, some lace and a golden paisley pattern hand painted.
zarine likes chrys which just makes her all that much better ^_^
This custom was made for Sweetcakes in the Steampunk swap. I was really excited when I saw her want list as she likes the same things as I do! Her corset and bustle skirt are sculpted from apoxie sculpt, hair is nylon and top hat is made by me. Glad to hear you like her Sweetcakes and thaanks so much for taking these pictures!
This girl is a custom for Izrabeth who wanted red and black version of my previous steampunk custom. her outfit is sculpted with apoxie sculpt and painted with acrylics. Her hair is nylon hair from my little custom that has been styled and curled. Hat was handmade and she is decorated with cogs and gears! I am so pleased with how this custom turned out, I think she is my favourite custom so far!
Big description, Sorry! North Star is one of a set of peg rearing ponies I am currently working on! She has taken a while to finish as I came upon several problems, one being the fact that I couldn't paint the white stars onto her body as the dye was bleeding through!!! I have as you can see worked round it by using cut out stars and painting over them in white! Her hooves have been sculpted to make them look like clefthooves (not sure if thats the right word) with lots of sculpted hair. I have spray painted her legs in silver and white and her hooves have been painted a light lilac. Her wings are made from wire and apoxy sculpt and have been painted in black with white tips, I have added a few stars to carry on the theme. I have re-rooted her hair in Starlight Nylon which has been half dyed black and boil curled. Her eyes have been re-painted 3 times!! every time I used varnish the dye would seep into the colours of the eyes, This time I have left her with no varnish. My dad made the stand for me out of wood, he drilled a hole in the middle so I could place a magnet inside, this connects to the magnet in the hoof of the pony and stops her from falling over. I have painted the stand in black and blue with a ton of irridescent glitter, stars and crystals, it also has a cream fabric bottom so it doesn't scratch and surfaces. I hope you all like her, she is now SOLD
This pony was of course made for Izrabeth, who is the biggest Johhny Depp fan I know So this is meant to be a pony version of Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane in Sleepy Hollow. His outfit was sculpted from apoxie sculpt and painted in acrylics with a light gold hand painted rim. I re-painted his eyes in shades of brown and varnished them. He has been re-rooted in black nylon hair and styled. His glasses were made from wire and apoxie sculpt with acetate lenses and yellow plastic sides (which I made from a plastic lid off a bottle) and painted them in acrylics. his little bag is made from apoxie and painted black. hope you all like her
sort of a commission. it was a service auction for a relief society activity. so i put her as a gift because the winner had her designed for someone else's new baby, Emerson. she was special to work on being that the winner had to have performed quite a bit of service to gain the points to spend on a full commission. and then to have it all given away to an equally deserving friend. this story really touches my heart.
started life as a blue peg, lovingly airbrushed in antique white with a blue patch actually done in lace in the place of her cutie mark, by colorscapesart
i started with her pole and bridle and went from there. it wasn't always easy and i didn't always have a clean plan, but she came out.
the blue detail of the cutie mark is hand painted by me and copied from the cover of a very special book "daughters in my kingdom" which my church has graciously handed out. i felt since the mother-to-be was expecting a girl it would be a nice touch. the little "E" on the hoof is similarly styled to match but in a vintage gold tone paint. everything i painted was a hand mix of colors except the vintage gold.
the many ribbon roses were hand made by me even before i had the pony! and the hair is 100% saran hair from restoredoll.com (i love kathy!) in 5 lovely baby colors matching all 5 colors of roses. there are many on the saddle, 5 at the top of the pole, and 3 in her hair which was carefully twisted and pinned for a simple style. i really tried to have all the tiny detailed well fleshed out, without overloading the pony.
i hope she is loved in her new home and i hope you enjoy seeing her
