The way he was acting, it was like it was the first time he'd ever told someone to pee in a cup. A letter from me must be rather unexpected, eh wot? Perhaps even unwelcome, given the circumstances. Do not worry, I will certainly address that, but first, I wish to speak briefly of the rather jarring disappearances we just suffered.
I understand that many of you watched your loved ones vanish into thin air. I was in the presence of our own Master Foo at the time. Unfortunately, he is caught up in whatever is happening, and none of us are entirely certain why, or how this occurred. I, as I am sure the other remaining leaders of the Rogues and Rescuers will, am going to do my best to investigate this and find where they all may have gone, but we have woefully little to go on.

It's been a while - I've had the busiest fall workwise that I can remember - today's the first chance I had to do some online updates.
I have a bunch of cool stuff in the works and that will be coming out in 2012 from the next issues of Defenders, to the long awaited volume 2 of Songes, plus new artbooks and sketchbooks, prints and another gallery show plus convention appearances. Updates on all when have exact dates, etc.

It's actually strange how three weeks can go by uneventful and then so much happen in just three days. Let's go by order:
My band finally had another gig this year. Now this could have been about the 5th one if the previous 3 hadn't been cancelled by one reason or another (Seriously, we've got a heck of luck when it comes to that). As for how it was, nice place, good audience, decent sound system but.... Let's just say our performance has been better at other times (The lead singer had a sore throat, bass player missing, volume control problems, nearly messed up completely on a song... Yeah, we were pretty much out of shape -.-). Still a great experience though, it was still fun and we learned exactly what NOT to do

Because I'm the official-unofficial judge of all the costumes. I get to sit behind my little counter at my little restaurant, take people's money and give my brutally honest thoughts on their Halloween outfits. I get tips too!
I describe it as the American Idol of Halloween; I play Michael Simon while my co-worker plays Paula Abdul. I rip some costumes and the pitiful ideas behind them to shreds. For example:
This 17-year-old kid came walking into the restaurant. Immediately, yes, it was that easy, I had a scalding remark about his "Riddler" costume. To me the Riddler, one would need to have question marks throughout the costume, as well as the color green; let's not forget the mask. This kid only had his big brother's suit on and a green tie with a sharpie "?" scribbled on it. I told him "That costume is a riddle." Sent him home hanging his head. Maybe this year he'll try a little harder.
My favorite are the little teeny-boppers that come in dressed like hookers. Tall hee
