Tironar was flying across the city of Warfang at great speed heading towards Vynin´s house. Glancing behind her she could see the battle raging near the wall and felt a short urge to turn around and go help out. But she quickly banished the thought. What she was doing could potentially win this war for them, she could not allow herself to be distracted.
The rage she had felt at the sight of Vecna had lessened and she could think more clearly again, and that had given room to doubt. What was Vecna and the Observer´s goal?
She knew it involved freeing Spyro, but there was no knowing if she was just being manipulated to help Vecna achieve some dark goal or even worse they were in league with Demetrius.
"Having second thoughts?" asked a chilling voice suddenly and Tironar felt a weight on her back.
Tironar her head so she could see the Observer sitting on her back. "What is Vecna´s goal?" asked Tironar coldly.
"Her goal?" said the Observer surprised and chuckled.

There was complete silence for a moment inside the monolith following what Spyro had said. Then the Observer reacted.
"What do you mean the deal is of?!" exclaimed the Observer, whatever happiness and calm he had gone. "You gave me a your word!"
"And I can't keep it" said Spyro as he turned away from the large Purple Crystal. His voice was calm, but his eyes drifted to Cynder. "I am sorry."
"What is it, Spyro?" asked Cynder noticing his gaze. "What is the problem?"
"I cannot let you die, not for this" said Spyro. "I am sorry Observer, I cannot go through with this."
"Why?!" demanded the Observer.
"What do you mean you can't let Cynder die, what does this have to do with it?" asked Ravina also, her eyes resting upon Spyro.
Cynder also looked at Spyro questionably, wanting answers.
Spyro took a deep breath and turned back to the crystal. "This crystal, it is indeed the source of the bond keeping you alive in this world, Observer. But as we feared it is also the

The rain fell from the grey clouds in a steady stream upon a rock plateau near Warfang, covering it and the dragons gathered there in a watery coat. The obelisks stood in a square on the plateau each of them facing a corner of the world.
The western obelisk was made from beautiful blue rock with a completely smooth, but also cold surface. The rain seemed to gather around its surface and running only slowly down the obelisk like it did not want to leave it.
The northern obelisk was made from made from hard brown rock and several cracks ran across the surface of it. It stood tall and mighty none the less, seeming only stronger and harder from the cracks in it surface.
To the east stood a obelisk molded from yellow almost golden rock. Suddenly a single lightning bolt pierced the clouds and struck the tip of the obelisk adding to a already deep black scorch mark hinting that it was not the first lightning bolt to strike the tip.

The sphere of elements was changing and altering in a rapid chaotic pace which saw the area of each element changing every second. Large gouts of flame and large thunderbolts every moment just and a cold wind blew through the area within the sphere. Frequent shakings could also be felt by anyone standing on the circular crystal disc in the center of the sphere.
But none of the four dragons even noticed any of that, so focused were they on the fight before them.
Spyro, Cynder, Ravina were all watching Malefor as they slowly walked towards him. They were only dimly aware the pain coming from the wounds each of them had received, but all could feel the fatigue which was creeping into their body and making every move increasingly hard to make.
But even as they walked forward they were also discussing in a whisper what to do, but without taking their eyes of Malefor for even a moment."
"We have to shatter him in one blow" whispered Spyro. "And I think I might

"Spyro, your okay" exclaimed Cynder and her face lit up in a bright smile as she saw him open his eyes. "I was so worried, I was so worried " continued Cynder at the edge of tears.
Spyro could not say anything at first as he was simply too surprised and confused, with the memory of him throwing himself of the cliff being edged into his mind. But now he was back here and he could see her bowed over him, the necklace hanging around her neck, unbroken.
"Cynder" said Spyro slowly smiling. "What happened, I thought "
"Welcome back among us, Purple Dragon" said the Observer before Spyro could continue and Spyro looked towards him, seeing Ravina as well who was looking at him with a expression of relief. "I feared for a moment we had lost you to the dream."

Spyro and Cynder slowly walked back through the tunnels towards the vault. Cynder was leaning on Spyro tired as she was after the long battle and because she just wanted to feel him close to her right now. She had her wing draped across his back just as he had with her. None of them spoke; they simply walked quietly side by side in the dim light of crystals illuminating the tunnels, relieved and peaceful.
As they reached the vault and stepped inside, their children as well as Hunter immediately turned their attention towards them. The only one who did not react was Gravi who was sleeping between Vynin's forelegs as she lay on the ground.
"Is it over?" asked Vynin slowly.
Spyro and Cynder both slowly nodded.
Vynin sighed in relief and smiled a little as she looked at Gravi´s peaceful face.
Then slowly she rose to her feet, being careful not to disturb Gravi, and walked over to her father.
For a moment Spyro and Vynin simply looked at each other.

As Spyro slipped into sleep the light which illuminated the room slowly dimmed and began pulsating in line with Spyro´s breathing, illuminating slightly and dimming again as he inhaled and exhaled. It was a strange effect which Cynder watched with fascination for a moment.
It made her relax and feel at ease despite the steady flow of sand in the giant hourglass marking the time they had left. As she lay besides Spyro she felt as if they were once again back at their cave in Avalar, that all of this was just a dream she would wake up from. For a moment she thought about lying down to sleep herself and just forget everything for now
Cynder shook her head violently. She could not sleep now, she had to make sure Spyro did not sleep too long and she had to watch Ravina and the Observer, make sure they did not try anything.
She looked over at the Observer and Ravina, but only saw Ravina lying on the ground and the Observer sitting nearby. Despite the shad

"Spyro? What are you doing up this early?" asked Sceranu surprised.
"I am having a hard time sleeping with everything that has happened. In particular I keep thinking of Malefor and the last words he spoke after the fight" said Spyro without even turning around and Sceranu could hear and edge of fear in his voice. "He is still alive and though we defeated him he is going to do whatever it takes to return once again."
Sceranu walked up besides Spyro and looked out across the landscape. "From what I understand you and Cynder have defeated Malefor three times already, if he does return I am certain you can defeat him again" said Sceranu trying to sound optimistic. But he could no

The hospital of Warfang castle was almost filled to the limit as more and more wounded came in from the battle. The cries of agony from stonars, cheetahs, moles and dragons alike echoed in the massive hall even as many others tried to help them the best they could.
Fliera was one of the persons helping out. Though she had wanted to fight in the battle, she had recognized that her considerable medical skill could be put to better use here. And in some ways it was fine too, because like this she could also keep an eye on her mate.
Fliera glanced towards Coldalar who lay in one of the beds near the door. He was sleeping peacefully now, but just a few hours before he had been awake for a few minutes. It was clear that he was in improvement, but it had also taken heavy toll on his body and it was still unclear when he would truly be back on his feet.

Evening was falling on the valley where Vynin lived when everyone gathered just below her cave. Most were curious as to why she had brought them together, except Zera, Larshyr, Ghronur and Carx who stood silently simply looking around.

Gairu and Tehanu standing next to Hunter and Kali whom they had flown there and then Coldalar and Fliera next to them. Carx and Larshyr standing on either side of Zera with Ghronur standing behind them like a guardian angel. All were here, together again at last.

She imagined this was how it look years after the attack by the Apes, but why was she here? The temple had been destroyed along with Malefor long ago
"Why did you run?" asked a gentle voice behind her suddenly and Ravina´s heart skipped a beat. It was a voice she had not heard for many years and which she had thought she would never hear again. She was about to turn around, but then stopped.
"This is a dream, is it not?" she asked calmly.
"Why would you think that?" asked the voice gently.

Vynin was resting on the grass just outside a cave in a small valley just south of Warfang. This was her home, the place she had decided to settle after she left her parents cave in the Valley of Avalar.
As she lay on the grass she was watching Gravi who was sleeping near a nearby tree.
Though he had grown in the years that had passed, the change was less extreme than with her two brothers. Still Gravi´s body was starting to show some of the traits Vynin had noticed with Demetrius, most notably his spear like tail blade, but Gravi´s horns seemed to become more like his mother's.
But one trait which was entirely Gravi´s own was his laziness. Whenever he was awake Gravi would dart around like a projectile, but it would not only last a few hours before he lay down to sleep again. And he slept heavily.
As Vynin lay there however, she suddenly heard the sound of wings beating and looked up. Just as she did that a familiar voice shouted to her.

The battle had raged in the large circular room for a few minutes. As expected the bird had assaulted them with lightning bolts and tried to stay above them so that it could dive at one of them with its massive claws.
But Spyro, Cynder and Ravina had stayed safely away from it and had waited for a chance to strike back.

The bird let out a shrill shriek, but continued towards Spyro and he dived towards the ground to get away. As he dived he saw the floor rapidly coming closer, but he did not spread his wings and pull up until the very last second.

The blinding light which had engulfed Spyro and Cynder as they entered the portal faded. Slowly they opened their eyes and found themselves lying on a purple stone floor. They both slowly stood up and looked around in silent awe.
They stood in a long hall with a floor of purple stone, while the walls and curved ceiling was made from dark purple crystal and along the walls shone several torches fashioned from red crystals. The Observer lowered his head and the shadows around his face deepened before he spoke. "We are headed beyond the eastern sea to another land on the other side of it, it is there the place I seek is."

Demetrius countered with his dark element and for a moment the two of them stood facing each other as jet black flames billowed around them pushing against the others stream in a deadly display.
But as soon as it became apparent that none of them could overpower the other, at least not at this point in the battle, they both stopped and the flames subsided leaving the ground scarred and blackened.

A few days had passed since the battle at Demetrius lair and Vynin was gliding slowly above Warfang. The sun stood high and everything was peaceful. Years of uncertainty and fear finally at an end she was finally preparing to return to the cave she had found many years ago along with Gravi.
Before that she had some things to finish up however and she wanted to spend a little time with her father as well. But right now she was going to visit Sceranu who had asked to see her. Gravi had been left in Hunter and Kali´s care.

It was morning and Demetrius was already wide awake. He was standing near a large table in the corner of his room going over a lot of notes and old books.
Most of it contained information he had gathered on his experiments through the years along with his father´s research. It was information gathered on the elemental powers of the dragons, the strange powers of the crystals and many other strange things in the world, most of which was probably only documented in those notes.
They were the very basics for everything he had made including the Iron Warriors, but though extensive, they were far from complete. Many things yet existed which he only had fleeting observations of and no real explanation, like the strange tree in the crystal fields.
Demetrius had always held a desire to solve the mysteries of such unexplained things and though his desire for conquest had always overshadowed it , he always returned to his studies when he
