I love the paintings that i have seen people do of the eyes and loose/blown/dripping watercolors using really bright colors. I thought I would take a crack at it. For my first attempt I think it came out rather well! anyone think they know who this actress is?
I have recently come down with the Deadpool sickness, and bah-dah-ba-ba-ba I'm lovin' it! (okay that was really cheesy)... but I was board and I thought I would try my hand at digital painting, and who more fun to paint than Deadpool?! Right???.... well I think he turned out really cool considering I'm still kind-of-a digital painting virgin err... newbie.
I like to check out whats new on TeeFury every once in a while to see people's cool designs and ideas, then I thought to myself 'why don't I make one?.' I really enjoy the designs that mish-mash two different things to create something original and amazing, so I wanted to do something along that route. Also there are NO MLP:FIM DESIGNS! Whats up with that!? So harnessing my inner Bronie and the awesomeness of Robot Unicorn Attack I created RAINBOW DASH ROBOT UNICORN ATTACK!!! Hopefully the people at TeeFury will be blinded by its glory and turn it into a tee *fingers crossed* Alas this is not the actual design I sent them. I was limited to 6 colors, I'm posting this one because I like the fact that it has all of RD's colors. In the other one I had to take out the orange, the purple however, would be the color of the shirt, hence it doesn't count Anyways, Enjoy fellow Bronies! [and don't forget to check TeeFury ]
For my figure painting class I was assigned to pick out an artist that paints the human figure and recreate it. I did Sylvia Ji because her work is just so beautiful and creative! I really enjoyed painting this piece and I would love to do more like it! I'll just have to find my own niche so I'm not copying her completely.
I Drew this for my Drawing and Painting II class in 11th grade. The assignment was to draw something that was glass. I Love to draw glass. It always has such beautiful intricate distortions, colors, and natural light always amplifies the properties of glass. I tried to capture all of this in my composition. I absolutely Love how the red hurricane glass turned out. My one beef with the drawing is that the ellipse on the bottom of the glass with the orange liquid (fun fact: thats actually soap) is not right. oil pastel 16x20 2009
I was on a plane flight to Italy and I happened to pack my travel watercolor case and a small pad. I forgot to bring any references, but that turned out to be okay, I just grabbed the Duty Free mag and looked though all the pictures. I zoomed in on one woman's stunningly green eyes for a perfume ad. The ride was a bit bumpy due to turbulence so I decided to do a somewhat loose painting so i wouldn't have to worry about details. It was a rather fun thing to do on a plane, I could hear the stewardesses and people around me whispering "she is painting! on the plane! how does it look?" No pressure, just a bunch of really bored people with nothing better to do other than watching you paint... lol.
