Ahsoka Tano: Out of TuneWater dripped somewhere, causing echos on the temple's cave walls. A breeze rustled through the cave, bringing with it the smell of the snowstorm outside. The crystals sang. Purple, blue, green. But they were out of tune.Ahsoka Tano: Out of Tune5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
You sighed. Obviously a disturbance in the Force, yet you had been ordered by Master Yoda to take a meditative retreat here, and under no circumstances return until sent for. Yet, the disturbance had not evened out to meld with the greater hum of the Force, and you had not been sent for. Both the radio silence and the disharmony persisted.
You shook your head and sent your beaded Padawan braid swinging against your head-tails. All this quiet and mediation must be getting to you. You were used to the battlefield and the close quarters of space travel, not to this infernal waiting and silence. Getting up from your cross-legged meditation position, you massaged your legs, finding them stiff after staying still for so long. You shivered and pulled your robes closer around

He giggled, rolling in the surf as each new wave washed over him. His clothes were sopping, but he didn't care. A child's joyful bliss of existence. The sand was rough on his still-soft plating. When he became an adult, his plates would harden and he wouldn't be able to feel the sand anymore. But that did not matter to him. He lived in the moment, for the joy of the now. The young turian stood, loving the feel of the waves tugging at his legs. He struck at each wave with his favorite stick he always kept, playing a game with himself, awarding himself points for hitting each wave.
The sound of his name made him forget his game and turn back to the beach,

The back room of the Eternity Bar had been rented for the evening, closed to the public. A lone Asari sat at the round table, her legs tucked beside her on the couch that wrapped around the wall of the private room. She ran a finger around the lip of her wineglass, coaxing a soft note from the crystal. Her gray eyes eyes were unfocused, a storm brewing behind them.
There was a friendly chime at the door, and she looked up to see the door slide open and shut with a click. A hesitating smile found its way to her lips as she welcomed the one who had just entered.

Chapter One Of Loss
With a faithful leap, Commander Shepard jumped towards the
Normandy that was floating inside the Collectors base. Collectors firing their
weapons in a futile attempt to stop the Commander from escaping, hoping to drag
him with them as the silent clock from the detonator inside their core slowly
but surely was running towards the magical zero.
The time almost seemed to pass in slow motion for the
Commander as he hung mid-air, flying towards his ship. The next fractions of a
second would decide if this mission ended in his death or another successful
attempt of cheating death once again.
Shepard reached out with his hands, barely able to grab the
edge of the ship's hull and latching onto it. Holding on with all his strength,
fighting the swaying of the ships motion, a familiar hand reached down. He
reached for the three fingered hand of the young Quarian engineer Tali'Zorah
and grabbed it in confidence as
Tali's CryCut off from the outsideTali's Cry5 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
For as long as I can remember
Born into a struggle
Through no fault of my own
A product of misfortune
A race shamed and forlorn
Its perpetual internal conflict
I apologize if at times I seem impulsive
Or warily confused
It's just that...
It's just that I'm still learning about this life
And how injustice and corruption thrive
In lieu of coexistence and admiration.
Sometimes I cry about how
Life may not be as fair as it should be
(So intelligent yet so naïve)
And it makes me feel insignificant
In a universe of warring ideologies.
It seems as if I only feel essential in your presence
For you never saw me for my faults or disadvantages
Or for what others thought
But regarded me as important as anyone else
And that thought alone meant so much.
And for that I thank you.
And it's only now that I see what you meant
When you said I would always have a home.
The struggle persists on the other side of the stars
Our own avaricious desires became our real
