I have ever known !
I'm left in tears by your humour,
you know just what to say
to make me a giddy fool
your kindness brings an awe
I've yet to match
and your friendship
is my favorite one of all
I can talk to you in a way with which
I can speak to no other
as you're the only one who understands me
...or could even hope to try
I love your emotional extremes:
your fiery rage,
your absurd clown,
your crying child in need of a cuddle
you're an incredible lover
that knows all of love's joys
I love everything about you !
A Perfect DollShattered Dreams: A Perfect DollA Perfect Doll3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Why am I born?
Why must I live for?
For me, there's no reason to know or to ask.
Until I saw her first smile
This body is not mine but for you who are my owner, my master and my whole life.
I follow your order because I would like to see you pleased.
I can't blame your mistake because I don't want to make you cry.
I want to be with you because I don't wish to see you are alone.
I will play everything as you would like me to be and that's all.
There's nothing else, except only one thing
It's pain every time when you are kind to me or every time when you leave me alone.
All of your kisses, all of your goodbye
It makes my tin heart shattered.
A doll doesn't need any feeling or emotion because it will obstruct act and duty.
A perfect doll doesn't need any heart.
She even has no tear to shed,
Must not laugh...
Must not cry...
For my dear master, memory is unnecessary.

I don't want to go out
I just want to stay in my little room

Fateful words of defeat
Admitting your failure
Lacing it with sympathy
A last chance offering of apology
For those who hate the 'S' word
You were wrong, unknowingly
Hurting someone you love
Begging their forgiveness
They probably will
They love you too
It wasn't your fault, after all.
A Warm Coat"Take my coat," he said, offering the garment to a shivering girl. She couldn't be any older than sixteen, and yet the streets treated her no differently. At first she refused the hospitality, but John's persistence finally won out. "Look," he started, "It's cold out here, I've got extras, and you need it more than me." Finishing his spiel, he draped the coat across her back before she could reply. He didn't have any extras, but she did need it more than him. With a good deed done, and his spirits bubbling, John continued on his way.A Warm Coat4 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
He had only gone five steps when he heard a hoarse voice cry out, "Sir!" John pivoted to face the girl. Cosseted up in the warm coat, her face had begun to regain it's color. Then he noticed that her outstretched hand held a ball point pen. "Sir! You've left your pen in the pocket!"
John paused only a moment, and then replied, "Keep it." Without another word, he turned and continued on his way. She watched him leave, still holding the pen out in front of h

I lie bunched up and forgotten in the bottom of his closet. I can't help but reminisce on the times we shared together, each grass stain and how it was acquired. I remember when we used to go everywhere together, the people we met and places we visited. We were inseparable until that first tear appeared, crushing my dreams that he would care for me forever.
The tear became a rip, and my other flaws became visible. To outsiders I caused him to be less desirable, where as I had always brought him attention in the past. I started coming apart at the seams and it all came down to the one day that I slipped of my hanger, hit rock bottom, and he didn't bother to pick me up again.
Soon I am smothered in other, newer, more attractive clothing, I can barely breathe, barely see. Just to catch a glimpse of him through the discarded belts and shoes makes my zipper zip and pockets turn inside out.

You find Matthew sitting at one of the many tables in the back of the library, books splayed out in front of him, head bowed over a notebook, furiously writing away. You approach him slowly, not wanting to break him out of whatever trance he's in, lest he might lash out at you.
His usually silky hair is disheveled and unkempt, his clothes more wrinkled. Looking closely, you can even see a light, purplish tint under his eyes, almost matching his irises. He doesn't notice you beside him, but instead continues on, muttering French under his breath.
You're about to reach out and touch him, but you quickly decide against it. Wow. Maybe it's finals week? You sweep your vision over the many books and papers, each with words you can hardly understand.
The rushed scribbling stops for a moment, and Matthew looks up, his eyes slowly adjusting from close-up to regular vision. He blinks a few times, seeming to almost not even register that you're there. "(Name)?" he asks, finally.

The hall was quiet,
I looked in your eye
and knew you had something to say
I waited there hoping to hear
his words But all he said was
I hope this doesn't hurt "I like you"
Were the three words on his mind
I felt so bad cause I pushed him back
and said I'm a waste of time
A few months later we were back in touch
He said hello and I said hi Turns out he had a new crush
I told him congrats she must be a wonderful girl
All he did was blush
We'd been talking for a year
and I realized I loved him
And I realized I was too late
Shedding a few tears
I don't want to ruin what he had with this girl
But I couldn't help but tell him
"Dear, I've loved you for some time
I was too afraid of my own feelings and I pushed you back
But now I want you to be mine, and I cried because he no longer wanted me
Because he has a soon to be wife And in the moment I swore to myself
That if I had another chance in life I would take it

IF TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT MEA few weeks ago a woman was killed in an auto accident. She was very well liked, so the office shut down for her funeral and it was on the news and so on. "If tomorrow starts without me, And I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things, We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me, As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand,
that an angel came and called my name, And took me by the hand,
And said my place was ready, In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love
But as I turned to walk away, A tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I'd always thought, I didn't want

The page awaits for me to adorn it
With words that hang like Christmas baubles;
Bright and shiny, polished, possibly even new.
The page awaits for me to wrap words
Around it in glittering tinsel circles;
Or in delectable popcorn surprises.
The page awaits to be decorated with words;
Some old and others new but
Always an angel or star topping it off.
The page awaited its angel,
Its star words that would end
It with a bang,
Like the fireworks going off to bring in
A year that's fresh and shiny new.
It's still waiting,
But Angels only come once a year,
The fireworks scare them away...
And stars always fade to nothing.

There's time to talk and time for silence,
There's time for laughter and time for violence.
There's time to fly and time to be free,
But there's never any time for me.
There's love that's pure and love that's strong,
There's love that shows us that we belong.
There's love searched for and some you can see,
But there's never any love for me.
There's a perfect girl for every boy,
There's a perfect boy that's not a toy.
There's a perfect boy out there, you see,
But I can't find him and he won't see me.
Teaching Us AllI sigh and gaze out at the busy streets of the city from my murky, one-room apartment on the fourth floor of that building. I'm sure you know which one. It's the one with the rusty gutters; grime stained bricks; cracked windows in the lobby. Sound familiar? It stands out amongst all of the sleek new buildings, with their wide, shiny windows and polished exterior. This is the building where the junkie lurks in the doorway to keep from being seen by those he knows and the hooker hides away from the man she stole the wallet of as he slept. It's where the pickpocket disappears to when a policeman chases him down the bustling avenue and alcoholic drags herself to duck out of the cold late at night. It's where I reside with a scared little boy who watches me with resentment, waiting for the opportunity to run away.Teaching Us All3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Rank upon rank of Infantrymen, many likely to have been his own students, stood before him. Swords were held at the ready to accompany the gun barrels aimed at his heart. This was not how it was supposed to end. He was supposed to be back in Midgar with Aerith, maybe helping her with her flowers and building a fleet of flower wagons for her. Not being human sucks. Sure, you get to do all the cool stuff; read minds, be strong, and being able to do pretty much whatever you want. But you know, it's not all it's cracked up to be. I mean, first rule of being Fallen:
Ignore. Don't let humans get in your way, ignore them unless you must interact.
Second: Don't continue doing whatever got you Fallen in the first place.
Third: Obey the Flying Ones.
Fourth and Final: Actually, this one isn't a rule. It's a secret. Save a human life and you are a Flying One again.
Oh, and did I mention that become Fallen gives you all these totally amazing scars all over your body? Because apparently, getting your wings ripped off isn't enough. You get to be tortured too! It's a very fun process, and since you can't die if you're an Angel, they can do whatever they want. Stone you, burn you, anything. Luckily, I was saved form being burnt or stoned, I guess they had pity on me for being so young.
And yeah, you read right, I
