I clenched my fists as I began to boil with rage. I wanted nothing more than to seek out the person responsible and make him sorry he ever crossed Sonic the Hedgehog, but I was brought back to my senses as Tails put a hand on my shoulder. "I know how angry you must feel right now, Sonic, but nothing good can come out of leaping into action while you're all emotional. I'll do all I can to help you find Amy, but you need some time to calm down and clear your mind." He was right, so I told him I'd take a breather and talk to him later.
The next morning, I discovered an unmarked envelope left on my front porch. Opening it quickly, I discovered it was a ransom note made from letters clipped from newspapers, spelling out "SURRENDER YOURSELF OR YOU'LL NEVER SEE AMY AGAIN." Just then, some kind of airship, at least the size of an aircraft carrier, passed overhead, blocking out the sun like an eclipse as it went past.

Some time later, I slowly opened my eyes, and immediately became confused. I saw stone scrolling by my eyes at incredible speed, making me dizzy. Huh? What's going on? Where am I? Where's Sonic? I found it difficult to breathe, for I felt like I was draped over something, and all I could do was groan. I then heard Sonic's voice saying "Amy? Are you OK?" Oh good, Sonic's here. I breathed deeply as I could before weakly answering "I'm all turned around...I have no idea what's going on." He replied "You got shocked, and I'm carrying you right now, looking for a way to escape this place. I'll explain the rest later." He then asked if I wanted to follow him on foot or if I wanted him to keep carrying me, and the only thing I had the energy to say was "I still feel weak."
We continued onward. Though I had shut my eyes

It's been nine months since Amy and I first met under those fateful circumstances in Robotnik's fortress, and we've been growing closer together all that time. I've got so many pleasant memories of the stuff we've done together. Pulling a photo album down from my bedroom closet, I flipped open to the first picture I saw, a picture of us sharing a milkshake at a diner in town (by coincidence, the same one where she's been working as a waitress for the past year), taken about two months after we first met. It may have been corny, but I didn't care. Amy looked so goofy with that dollop of whipped cream stuck on her nose. I remembered the way she giggled when I wiped it off her face...her giggle is so cute.
The next picture I saw was the two of us on the beach, about four months into our relationship. Amy was sunbathing, wearing sunglasses and the swimsuit she bought just a few days prior. It was my first time seeing it, and I couldn't help but stare at how beautiful she loo

[Humphrey] Kate? What are you doing up here?
[Kate] I'm practice-hunting for our lunch.
[Humphrey] *uneasy expression* Good, 'cause I'm about to lose mine.
[Kate] You are? Ew.
[Humphrey] I'll try to swallow...*vomits in Kate's face*
[Kate] UGH! *lets go of Humphrey and slams into a tree* ACK, my back!
[Humphrey] *lands on a rock* OOF!
[director] Cut! Humphrey, you aren't supposed to actually vomit all over her!
[Humphrey] *winded* I know...I shouldn't have done this scene on a full stomach...

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The passage of time can be a funny thing...it seems like only yesterday that Sonic asked me to marry him, yet it happened more than five months ago. And as I stood there in a dressing room of the church I used to attend growing up, making last-minute adjustments to my wedding dress, I took a long hard look at myself in the mirror. My mind flashed back to that fateful night over six years ago, waking up in a cell inside Robotnik's fortress. Never in a million years would I have imagined that the blue hedgehog in the cell across from me would one day be my husband.
The opening of a door and my younger sister's voice calling out brought me back to reality. "Come on, Amy, we're all waiting for you." I turned and nodded, then looked at myself one last time before pulling th

"C'mon, Ames!" Sonic whined. "At least gimme a hint!" The tantalizing aroma was driving him wild. His mouth refused to cease salivating until the source of the smell was discovered and polished off in his typical fashion. Yet his normally keen senses had failed the blue hedgehog, leaving him to plead with the obstinate girl before him.
The girl was rather enjoying the display. Here she had the man of her dreams almost on his knees before her. So far, everything was playing out perfectly like she had planned: she had invited Sonic over for chili dogs, had hidden them well, and he had ransacked the housealmost tempted to tear everything apartin search for the elusive delicacy. Yet she was cautious not to celebrate an early victory. This new idea of a hint intrigued her. She thought that she might be able to weasel something out of him after all.
"Alright," she said slowly, forcing a smile to stay off her face. "I'll tell you on one condition." She paused, waiting

I hadn't given much thought to what to name our baby girl, and I was somewhat relieved when Sonic came up with the name Stella. As I looked down at Stella, whose big green eyes seemed to sparkle in the light, I was reminded of all the things I'd heard on TV and from friends about what it's like being a parent. None of it made sense to me back then, but I see things in a completely different light now. Just like the excitement I felt during the first few months of our marriage, there was novelty in being a family instead of just a couple. For both me and Sonic, it was finally sinking in that there was a living, breathing hedgehog in this world who wouldn't be here if

They will come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

I'd never been black-bagged before, and I had no idea how disoriented it would make me. I don't even remember passing out. The next thing I did remember, though, was opening my eyes to see near-complete blackness. Either this room was dark or the bag was still on my head, so naturally I reached to my face to figure out which it was...only to discover I couldn't move my arms or legs, and they were bent back in a really uncomfortable position, as if they were tied together with ropes. With no idea where I was, what might happen (or had happened) to me, or even if Sonic and Stella where nearby, I went into panic mode and started rolling and thrashing about, trying to free myself. That resulted in me rolling off whatever it was I was lying on and landing on some hard surface, which knocked the

Amy stretched her arms, reaching and grasping for the clouds. When there was a definite crack! that Cream and Cheese even noticed, she moaned, more relieved now that the knot was loosened. She shook her head, digging her fingers into her eyes, and turned to the small rabbit beside her on the bench. "Sorry. Didn't mean to fall asleep," she said, slurring of the words.
"It is alright, Miss Amy," Cream said, smiling as Cheese flew off to play with a group of children nearby. "Did you have a rough night?"
"You could say that," Amy said, leaning back against the bench. She was almost mesmerized by Cheese's flying. His looping, dipping, climbing, and twirls were dizzying just to watch. "I didn't get home until later last night."
Cream nodded knowingly, turning to watch Cheese as well. The children laughed and hopped around, trying to catch him. He chirped and cooed as he teasingly flew just out of their little arms. "Sonic?" Cream asked.
"Sonic," Amy said, nodding.
