Hear the tick of eternity,
The tock of an eon passed.
In a time back then,
Before I had these skills,
The flux of time not bothering,
Or trying to take away my thrills.
Another second passed,
Again a minute is wasted,
Face of the clock staring me down,
Laughing at me as demise I tasted.
Panic consuming me,
The ticking growing faster,
Realizing what I must do,
The total feeling of rapture.
Picking up a pencil,
No longer wasting time,
Making a place without a clock,
Creating a world totally mine.

From the gloom of his alcove, six of eight heard an unspoken command. Aroused from his slumber, he wordlessly departed, and headed to fix a broken plasma injector, one of 11,000 drones on cube 1027; travelling towards Earth at a speed barely imaginable, Traversing the corridors, he took no notice of how alone he was; there was a world of voices inside his head. After an hour or two, he reached the correct injector, and with a tubule, he injected the entire machine with fresh Nano-probes.
Before he was assimilated, a year previously, he was called John Cooper, an engineer aboard the Geordie, an old excelsior class vessel that strayed a bit too far towards the delta quadrant, and paid dearly for it. Before any of the crew knew it, they found themselves linked to the collective, all personality purged. He had been a tall, dark haired Human, just twenty years of age; such life ahead of him. In one short year, he had

She was only 16 but some how had managed to win the states modelling championships and would be heading off to start her new career as soon as she finished year 11. Her parents thought it was a waste of her talent, but really she couldn't help it that she was blessed with beauty and brains.I Think You're Sort Of...5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
A small gust of wind crept past lifting her dress somewhat. The boys would stare and point at her from afar, but nobody had the guts to come and talk to her. It wasn't her fault she had better then average looks. Really all she wanted was a boyfriend, a nice one at that. Nobody would take the chance. The fear of being rejected kept her alone. The other girls didn't want to speak to her and the only friends she had managed to get, were so jealous of her stealing away the modelling contract that they too had no time for her.
She headed towards her class, looking down to avoid the other students eyes.

Me encontraba en la habitación tras el postoperatorio, enchufada a varias bolsas con soluciones destinadas a mantener mi sangre limpia de infecciones. The Fountain Part 16Sparrow stared, wide-eyed, wondering if what he saw was true. The old man silently smiled back; there wasn't even a hint of dishonesty in his face. If what he implied was the truth, Sparrow would be looking at his grandfather, The hero of Oakvale. Sparrow was speechless; he didn't know what to say. He didn't even know his name, for none of the texts mentioned it. Instead, they mentioned many titles that stuck with him due to his exploits, particularly, Sabre, Ranger, and Hood. Sparrows arms began to wobble; he was much closer to death than he had ever been before. Fang whined behind Sparrow. Apparently the assassin's hadn't seen him, or they simply didn't want to waste their ammo. Fang dared to venture forth and began to tug on his master's sleeves. The Fountain Part 165 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

He spoke of her in riddles, she spoke of him not at all, as merely acknowledging him could bring great disturbance to her life and with those she loved. Paneling tips for mangaPaneling tips for manga11 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This
Paneling is a part of Graphic design. O_- It's an art in itself, think of how you would do a collage and put together a puzzle, that's how paneling works.
You must understand the basic 2D design element:
movement, center of interest, value contrast, volume, size, perspective.... so on and on....
As for paneling.... there is no set way to do it, whether drawing the picture first, or draw the panel's first, or draw the panels and the pictures back and forth.... it's all upto the artist, as long as the result is satisfying to the artist. Just experiement and find the best way that suits you.
1. Panels must support your content: That's the most important thing.... if one line is going over an important character's head shot, omit that line and let the character stand out~ If one frame is more important than the other, you wish to make it a focus on the page, make that frame larger than the others, sometimes it can even overlap other panels alittle. However, being overly complicated

He heard nothing but static and the downpour of rain spattering on the windshield of the chopper. "Something isnt...right. Ace picked it up, knowing it was his friend Sarah.

You see your target, 90 ft away. You slowly sidestep, hoping the enemy wont detect you. You look to your left, just in cause for a sign. Your brain, eyes, heart, and feet are going in one fluid rhythm. The enemy spots you: you have two choices-stay or go back. He takes a glance, another glance, then throws at you. You barely get back, thanking god for the reflexes to make you safe. You dust yourself off, get a message from your superior, then when your enemy has his back turn...you run.
He throws the ball, not realizing of your impending mission. His reciever grabs it, hurling it over his head. It takes a split second to react to this. Busting down the line, full speed ahead, knowing it's either do or die. You slide, trying to remain undetected. The bag is touched, the ball in the glove. The boss either calls you safe or out. Out, and it's just a botched attempt. Safe, and you just breathed life into your team. such is the way in the art of stealing.

Over mountain and plain to the land of gods
Calling to the stars on their lofty throne:
Please remember your kin and what I once was
I once stood in joyful attendance
To the rulers of the heavenly sphere
Shackled to this cold, unyielding earth
I stir the ashes with spilling tears
Will I never feel your welcoming embrace
And will I never see that shining land again?
Fallen through a tragedy I cannot conceive
I wander in the moonlight and sing this refrain:
Hear my mournful prayer as I raise it up
From the face of the earth to the midnight sky
I recall a time when I was like you -
Now I weep for my fate and I wonder why
I seek out the secret roads of heaven
The path of constellations that will lead
To the halls of peerless beauty
Where my wandering soul may be free
There you all will stand, resplendent before me
Clothed in gold and holding out your arms
Jubilant that your lost child has returned
I hold the thought close and wait for that time.
