ELEVEN O'CLOCKI AM MAKING MY WORDS LOUDELEVEN O'CLOCK6 years ago in Other More Like This
SO THAT YOU MIGHT HEAR ME
FROM A MILLION MILES AWAY.
MY FACE MELTED INTO WAX
LAST NIGHT, FOLDED HANDS
TURNED INTO TREMBLING LOVERS.
I SCREAMED SILENCE,
FOX DROWNING BETWEEN
MUSIC BEATS, CAN YOU HEAR ME,
PLEASE TELL ME YOU HEAR ME.
CLOCK STRUCK ELEVEN AND I WAS
DOWN FOR THE COUNT,
I AM SCREAMING BUT MAKING NO
NOISE, A MILLION MILES,
A MILLION MILES-
I WISH YOU WOULD LOVE ME
THE WAY YOU DID WHEN
I WAS SIXTEEN.

And say you hate me.
Say those words
That you know will hurt the most.
You can talk
And say you mean it all.
Say what you will
And break everything.
You can talk
And change your mind.
Say youre confused
And confuse me too.
You can talk
And say youre sorry.
Say you never thought about it
But you still wont earn my forgiveness
Fix ItYou look at your feetFix It5 years ago in Haiku & Eastern More Like This
I look at my folded hands
There are just no words
Did you ever think
To simply apologize?
I guess you didn't
You just walked away
Like any coward would do
Rather than fix it
So mend the wounds now
Erase the scars while you can
If not, I'll be gone
Why the Willow WeepsToday I asked a willowWhy the Willow Weeps8 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
The reason why she wept.
She spoke to me so mournfully:
'I weep because he left.'
I listened while she told her tale,
Her branches bent in woe.
She'd been the oak tree's bride-to-be;
The lovers were betrothed.
Willow was so devoted,
She stood up straight and tall,
Had eyes for him and he for her,
'Til Birch Tree came to call.
She was so slim and clothed in white,
She caught the oak tree's eye.
He left his willow lass behind
With no decent 'goodbye.'
Her true love left but she is strong,
And so she did not die,
But rather bent her head in pain,
All out of tears to cry.

I'm Miles Away...I'm waist-deep in thoughtI'm Miles Away...5 years ago in Other More Like This
And the silence isn't as bad as it could be
But at times I'm overwrought
By the icy nostalgia, as it slowly kills me
It takes two to argue
And it takes two to fall in love
It seems apologies are overdue
I'm sick of these feelings, or lack thereof
And when I sit on the distant hill
That was once where we would meet
I'm slightly freed of the constant chill
I'm not quite as alone, not quite so discreet
I suppose memories of old
Come back to me at those occasions
And it's almost bizarre to behold
The alternate answers to such equations
It seems to me that you're getting nearer
But you're still so far away
Your image should be getting clearer
Though it's still in complete disarray
My head will spin 'round countless times
But it will be for naught
Because I'll still be writing these stupid rhymes
While you're still waist-deep in thought.

"you gonna be alright, love?" he says.
i am at the summit. i sigh quietly. "of course," i murmur softly, trying to keep the longing out of my voice.
he freezes nearly imperceptibly, but i know he hears it. i am in his arms because he ascended the steps; i am crying because i will miss him.
"bee," he whispers into my hair, "bee, bee, bee, bee, bee."
his shirt is wet from my eyes. "you know i'll come back." he kisses my head. "soon."
i sigh a blue breath. "hey," i glance up as he glances down, "don't worry about me. please." i kiss his palm, eyes still met.
"bee?" he glances away fleetingly. his palm is still by my lips.
his arms almost bring me closer.
"will you miss me?"
i lower his palm. i am beginning to cry again and bury my face into his body. he pulls me tighter.
"i won't miss you," i mumbled into his chest. "i won't miss you at all."
From Treason To DevotionEveryday its the same damn thingFrom Treason To Devotion6 years ago in Other More Like This
The same people, the same ache,
You hold the world by a fucking string
The sobbing victims could make it quake
Talk is so very cheap
Tears fall and then flood
I am sick of each and every weep
On my hands will be your blood
Its time to say it, but I just cant say it
The words wont come no matter how I try
Despite all you do, I dont want to part, I admit
But I must learn to say goodbye
I lay my heart down on the table
Im pessimistically optimistic and the ends in sight
You place your heart, its filthy and sable
Then, suddenly, all seems right
I knew it would happen, I didnt want to make it real
I know how you think and I wish to know more
From these wounds I cannot heal
And I know your wearing thin down to the core
I thought I hated you, but I guess I was wrong
I tend to dream of you when I sleep
I know Im strange and I dont belong
But this incline is just so steep.
All Your FaultI have a tendencyAll Your Fault6 years ago in Other More Like This
Of giving wrong answers to right questions
I do bad things
For all the correct reasons
Why do I try so hard,
Just to fail in the end?
Why do I bleed so much,
Just to be numb to the pain?
Why do I stand still,
Just to end up lost?
Why do I revive my heart,
Just to have it stop beating ?
All because of you.

With you here in my arms,
I'm lying softly dreaming
of those subtle charms,
with which you caught my heart
and would not let it go
Though I don't mind, because
I love you too you know.
We'll lie there till the sun,
Rises slowly to the sky.
And here I'd lay forevermore,
Until the day I die,
With you here in my arms

Mimicking LifeEvery cloud has a silver liningMimicking Life5 years ago in Other More Like This
At least, that's what is always said
But the clouds to me are so confining
They don't heal wounds, and, O, how I bled
I'm sorry, love, but I can't go on much longer
Should I cut the ties or keep holding on tight?
I'm trying, but I can get no stronger
I simply cannot, try as I might
I walk along the path laid before me
Along the mock setting of being
I'm, believe it or not, as happy as I'll ever be
And the solitude is so very freeing
I'm drying my damp eyes
So that I may see you clearly one last time
I'm trying hard not to sensationalize
But it's hard not to when you have no reason, nor a rhyme
Good riddance, my adore
Do not forget to write
Welcome to our new war
Remember me as you fight.

The one where you don't turn away
But it's falling apart at the seams
For you constantly keep me at bay
The tears fall of their own accord
My heart's in shambles and I'm out of thread
You stabbed deep, then twisted the sword
I feel like one of the undead
You crossed, then double crossed
I cried, then cried once more
This pain is never going to exhaust
And, O, I'm so very sore

am i breathing now?
hard enough to shake
windowpanes and turn
moths' whispers into screams.
i think i'm breathing, love,
i think i'm gasping for blue air
and drinking on an empty stomach.
i think my bones can't stop shrinking
and my walk is more of a stagger.
i think i'm breathing, love-
so hard i've become vapor
and the most i can pretend to be
is a stranger on the sidewalk.

My only company is my shadow
There is no need for small-talk
For we know all we need to know
The moon illuminates the night
It slips through the clouds
Washing us in its silver light
Providing the most opaque of shrouds
And I could be no less content
For I am without you
And I'm beginning my long descent
It's slow, but gaining speed as if on cue.

Just The BeginningBroken silence and broken hearts,Just The Beginning6 years ago in Other More Like This
Broken souls and broken ties
They're glued together by fits and starts
And torn back apart by all the lies
All warmth has left, for the sun has gone
Leaving only darkness in its place
All the stars seemed to have withdrawn
And there's no moon for a saving grace
It's just so easy to fall to pieces
The pain has only just begun
And it never, ever decreases
There's nowhere to hide, nowhere to run
Perhaps I'm a little gun shy
So I'll just use a blade
You hung me out to dry

For sleep is an empty plight
If you wish, call me crazy, a maniac
But I think I'm well within my right
I live to die another day
But I need no heartbeat
I'm an alien, a human I portray
Yet, I feel so incomplete
My eyes threaten to shut
My brain is so detached
I'm having trouble deciding what's what
And it seems my thoughts have been mismatched
However, I still keep alert
To exhaust myself once more

So splendid on that day
I lost my mind to silent fears
And cast my light away
I hid from her my bleeding heart
It's seams were ripped and torn
And, as if by magic art,
A love anew was born.
But not for she who pained me so,
With lies and lust and shame
A fool I was, but now I know
The pleasures of her game
I turn my eyes to better things
A love that does not die
With pride and joy it gladly sings
Like angels in the sky.

"I think the boy said no," a deep voice said. I saw the black leather clad hand that came to rest on my attacker's shoulder, followed it up the black leather clad arm to the scowling serious face. My jaw dropped at the sight. He was the type of guy I always had that immediate crush on. Long, jet black hair, pulled back in a low ponytail revealing the darkly tanned face that needed a shave. A strong square jawline and high cheekbones gave his scowl a threatening look to it. I could only imagine what colour his eyes were as they were hidden behind dark sunglasses, even in the darkness of
