A Snow Lit Night
In mid winter when the snow is lightly falling in the sun set sky. Two people are walking down the side walk in a park near the girls house. The boy is named Dave and the girl is named Jade. Jade's brother John is Dave's best friend. Today Dave found the strength to ask his long time friend, Jade, to take a walk with him. She put on her blue dress, red coat, boots, blue scarf and matching hat when he showed up to walk with her.
At first they were both quiet, Dave's palms sweated in his gloves. As the sun settled they walked along the road and as it seemed like an hour and after some random chatter Jade linked her arm with his and leaned her head on his shoulder. He glanced at her and smiled as they kept walking.
"Why did you ask me to walk with you?" Jade finally asked after several blocks of walking in the Seattle lights.
"Oh, I don't know. I guess I just wanted to talk to you without John around," Dave answered back. He looked straight while walking, his b

Yes. He's broken. His eyes are dull and stare blankly ahead. There's nothing about him that seems to recognize emotion. He looks up at you, silent, almost void of life. You see his eyes blink, once, twice, three times, before you stand up and turn to the man behind you.
"Are you sure, there are plenty of better trolls, I assure you. This one's slated for slaughter in a day. Here," he placed a hand on your back, "let me show you to some other trolls, I'm sure you'll find another."
You disagree but follow him anyways. You pass by rows and rows of cages. Some are better kept then others, you notice the color swatches by each number, the nicer cages appear to belong to the purple or blue swatches. There are trolls of all ages and builds. Most walk up and greet you, saying brief things like "hello," or "hi mister." You nod and watch each one, seeing the life still flicker in their eyes. There's one section you pass by in a

Karkat is extremely loyal to those who appreciate and support him and thusly, he will protect and cherish those people for a long time. One of the greatest things about Karkat is his ability to make others feel good about themselves and loved when the other person needs it. This is because, instead of doing this for himself, he projects this onto other people. This is a positive cycle, in making others feel wanted and loved, Karkat in return feels good for making someone feel good. The other trolls can lean and depend on Karkat, he will listen to people's problems and help them, Even though he makes even his most sound advice appear to be random insults. However, Karkat will rarely express his own deep feelings to anyone. People who want to share deep emotional thoughts and opinions with Karkat might feel that t

Nothing's happening anyway,

No way to concentrate.
As good as the wildest dream;
As bad as the most frightening nightmare.
Bliss, if only for a few minutes of class.

I love you so much.
Don't tell anyone, though.
Head fuzzy, delirious. My skin feels warm and tingly with you, did you know that? Oh, you must know that. You're my most favorite thing in the world. Favorite, favorite, favorite.
But, please, don't tell anyone.
I hope you don't mind, but I'm just gonna fall off this cliff and into you. I'm gonna drown myself in you. I'm gonna lock the doors, close the blinds. I'll hide under the blankets and hold you tight.
But don't tell anyone.
I won't need a nightlight with you around. I don't need to eat or sleep with you. Oh god, how do you do that? How could I possibly live without you? You're so great, feels so great.
Seriously, don't tell anyone.
Oh, don't look at me like that. Our love has to be a secret. It's almost like an affair, ya know? Nobody else would understand what we have. Nobody else would accept it.

Eridan paced the room, unable to sit still. He was a complete mess. His hair was down because he hadn't bothered to style it, his pants were wrinkled, his scarf was only half way on and he had just forgotten about his shirt. It was a wonder that his glasses were on right now. He kept pacing, his chest expanding rapidly with each breath he in took, then deflating once more when he let the air out. He was skipping school at the current moment. He couldn't bother to pay attention, nor would he allow himself to break down and cry in front of others. He would not allow it. He pushed a shaky hand through his hair, and kept rapidly checking his phone now.
Sollux was sick. Not the Flu, or a stomach virus, but something else altogether. Sollux himself didn't know what he had, but he kept having these attacks. His emotions were in an inner battle, he had even told Eridan himself and that was surprising for the computer loving nerd. What also broke Eridan's heart, which he did in fact have, was h

Like tantalizing jewels
You stretch your arm
Until you grasp the nearest one
But how can you check
To see if it is sweet?
Looks alone will not reveal this to you
Only by biting
Into its soft flesh
Can you discover its secrets
For its skin can conceal
A bitter, rotten taste within
And once bitten
You cannot spit it out
Until all of the bitter fruit is devoured
But the fruit
Can also be sweet
Sweeter than life itself
So choose wisely
Take a bite
And brace yourself for the sensations to come
Wings of a Worthless God Chapter TwoYou can't believe what you are seeing. Karkat unwraps the long strip of fabric from around his chest and back. Slowly he turns around and lets you see. There are two bright red strips on his back. You stand and walk over, fearing he is injured, but as you get closer, you discover that's not what they are at all. He twitches as your hand gently touches one. Getting a bit braver you rest your hand on it, "Karkat," you start, the red membrane is soft and warm, "Karkat are these " As you inspect him the mysterious growths start to look familiar. Repairing the Damage Chapter One"Karkat, come!" You call to your pet; the troll lifts himself up from his pile of blankets in the corner of your living room. "We're going shopping; you can come along this time." He stands by your side silently waiting for you to put the leash around his collar. You've upgraded the harsh chain the center used for one made of soft leather. He flicks his ears back and waits for the door to open. You run a hand through his hair; he immediately leans into the touch. Sometimes you like to pretend you aren't blind.
You like to close your hollow eye sockets, take deep breaths, and imagine that you are on Prospit, with your friends.
Sometimes, instead, you just lapse into memories. Like that one time you and Karkat laughed hysterically, slumped over one another after Eridan stepped on a horn, tripped over the one-wheel device and fell on his face.
You remember back to fun days spent excavating with Aradia, back when you were just barely five sweeps old. You remember finding the skeleton of what you both instantly assumed to be an ancient scalebeast, but ended up being regular troll remains.
You remember when Karkat came over to your hive for the first time and you kicked his ass at every game you owned, laughed through his tantrum, and gave him a big hug when he apologized for almost wrecking your mainframe. You liked this memory the best, because you alway

Her Imperious Condescension entered the battery hold of her ship, a place she'd recently taken a habit to visiting with an increased frequency. She may have pondered more deeply the meaning of her fascination with her newest Helmsman, if she had been someone who had to worry about someone above her making a judgment call and culling her on the spot. But hell, she was the queen of queens, the Empress of the most aggressively invasive species in the universe, she could do whatever she pleased and continue skewering anyone who took issue. The perks of having all the power of her species in her left hand were wide and varied, but having the freedom to not give two shits about anything was definitely among the top ten.
Oh, what humor. She loved joking with herself and with everyone around her. The Condesce had always been a prankster, from the moment she'd hatched from an eggshell of a completely new and perfectly unique color, all those hundreds of sweeps ago.
But she was

These pressures have taken their toll, successfully broken my spirit, shattering the frail soul within. But then, what better reason to be crying out to you? You said I'd never be alone; then why do I lie here when all have abandoned me? Do I amuse you? You say I've been "forgiven," then why do their condemning eyes pierce with each stare, why must I hate myself for what I've done? Why can't I stop these tears? I've broken down; I curse the morning sun because it brings to me simply another day of torment! The boy was curled up in a ball of blankets and limbs, breathing normally, his hair swept messily across his face. Karkat brushed the strands out his eyes carefully; he didn't want to risk waking the boy. Waking a sleeping troll was like asking to get your throat slashed out. It was a defense mechanism that they hadn't been able to outgrow; only matesprits could get away with waking each other. Karkat slid out of the bed carefully and threw on some fresh clothes. He was surprised at how well John slept this night compared to the last. The difference was astounding.
