Ignorance is bliss.
"All right. We haven't had much trouble so far. Let's continue on!"
A young female Cyndaquil smiled at her Riolu partner as the two adventurers steadily made their way through Mt. Avalanche, their footsteps making crunching sounds as they passed though the snow.
"Actually, I'm starting to get pretty hungry, Miku."
The Riolu frowned as he rubbed his paw over his belly and gave a soft whimper.
In response, Miku grabbed her bag and opened it, still walking forward.
"That's okay, Apollo. I'll just grab something for you real quick."
As she looked for something to eat, however, she did not pay any attention to where she walked. Before she knew it, something clicked underneath her feet.
"Oh no! Miku, watch out!"
Miku immediately stopped and looked around upon hearing her partner's voice.
It turned out that she had walked straight into a warp trap.
In another part of the dungeon, Miku landed face-first into the snow.

Fire engulfed my body, sending me to the ground. A Fire-Type Pokemon...curses. Despite my constitution, I cried out. She came to be before I even hit the ground. "STOP! STOP IT!"
I thrashed about on the ground, dousing the flames, but leaving my body charred. I was dirtied, hideous..
She cradled me in her arms, like she had done when I was a Snivy..my head resting against her shoulders.
"Stop..Stop! No more! Stop hurting my Pokemon!!" I looked over, seeing her Gothorita, her Cubchoo, her Gurdurr, her Leavanny and her Victini, all battered and bruised. My lower coils moved and rustled, showing my obvious annoyance.
She called for it to stop...She had called many times, begging for it to stop.
"NO!! NONONO!!" She shrieked. "It's okay, Naja...it's okay..I'm sorry, Naja. I should never have let this happen..it's all my fault." Her green eyes watered, and tears poured down her little cheeks, staining her breast.
I was enraged. How dare anyone make her cry...and over me!
"Serr." I comforted,

Can't my wish be granted?
What am I doing that's so wrong...? Why do people want to hurt me?
"Yes!!" Grinning to himself, the pokemon trainer grabbed his pokeball from off the ground. Having defeated a trainer in battle, he held the pokeball up and smiled. "Good job, dewott..." He muttered to himself as he walked over to the other trainer. Holding out his hand, waiting for the other to shake it.
The girl in front of him just smiled, taking his hand and shaking it. "You're a pretty good trainer!" She happily said. Handing him his reward. The boy took it, thanking her as he turned quickly to go to a pokemon center.

I don't mind it so much, I guess. I've gotten to know the different terrains really well, and I always loved exploring. It's what I always wanted to do, after all, this journey. Maybe I should be thankful that even when it ends, I get to do it over again. When you choose your starter, and release them for the first time, the look of trust and love in their eyes... Well, even jaded as I've become, it's the one thing that never fails to melt my heart. Maybe I'm lucky. Not everyone gets to live out their dream over and over again.
"I love you, mom."
"All boys dream of traveling. It said so on TV."
There are good parts. Meeting new friends for the first time. Raising them to their true potential. It's the first time for them, and their enthusiasm is infectious. And some things, like watching all that hard work pay off when they evolve, never get old. I can be happy. Sometimes I laugh. Sometimes I forget that it's this way.

It was at least my twentieth time replaying Pokemon Platinum. Everytime I started it with a different Pokemon team. I liked variety. But this time... I was bound and determined to play through the game with a starter for once. I had managed a play through with a Torterra. I had once played through with an Empoleon and a Rotom. But Chimchar and its evolutions always got evaded. This time... I was using Chimchar.
Things had gone well at first. I started the game, picked Chimchar when it asked me my starter; so far so good. I had named my Chimchar Nini. I wasn't sure why. Nini was at level 10 when I first wandering into Route 202. "This time, I'm not gonna let some wild Pokemon distract me from training Chimchar." I reassured myself.

A cloud of dust was visible against the horizon. Anyone watching for long enough would see it come slowly closer, finally resolving itself into a young boy on a bicycle, the wind streaming through his messy dark hair. Behind him sat a Magmar with a basket full of eggs, the excitement of the ride keeping its body warm enough to incubate the eggs even through the thick wicker.
The bicycle slowed as it approached a quaint-looking house. Coming to a halt, the boy dismounted and, leaving Magmar by the bicycle, approached the house. He knocked on the door quietly.
"Hey, it's me! You phoned and said you have anther egg for me?"
The sound of shuffling was heard inside before the door opened. "Hmm, an egg? No, I'm sorry, you're mistaken. We don't have any eggs left."
"But you said you have one!" the boy protested.
The man's stern grey eyes fixed on the child. "No, I'm sorry. Come again." He shut the door firmly in the boy's face before he could say any more.
After a moment of hesitation, the bo

Whether it had been due to a great amount of tests, or unpleasant weather, the notion stood that I wanted to unwind. Being a hardcore fan of basically anything expelled from Pokemon Inc, I knew what my time would be spent doing.
The week prior I had tried to fix my original Pokemon Emerald game, and to my surprise, I was actually able to make it turn on. My excitement was drained however, when I realized the game still would not save.
So my ready-made solution?
Saturday morning I stopped by, hair blown wildly by the wind. The store had two or three people there excluding the cash register.
The counter, made of glass, contained easily about forty different games, about ten of which were from the Pokemon company.
Fire Red, Leaf Green, Ruby, Ruby, Fire Red, Leaf Green, but no Emerald in sight.
I frowned and strolled to the other side of the counter.
"There we go."
It's paper was torn along the edges, but kneeling down to take a closer look allowed me

The ones who did make sounds made high-pitched wails of their obvious distress.
Deeper I dove, before dashing the human against the rock walls. Bones cracked, blood leaked out and the human finally stopped his struggles, lying limp and broken. I let it go, wat

I cannot say.
You make my head soar high above the clouds; make my heart thud quicker.
You make me wish I'd never met you; make me want to forget you.
Do you care?
I do not know.
Expel your feelings as if they were vomit. Display them for all to see until they back away gagging, and some poor misfortunate soul holds the task of clearing it all away. I'm looking for a scapegoat, because I know that when the time comes I will break under the pressure. I will need someone to fall back on, someone to blame, and someone to hurt.
You will end up hurting me.
Is that what you're scared of? I'm scared, so scared that I feel hollow when I think of being with anyone but you. The swirling colours of light and dark conflict, friendship mixes with love in a pretty mess of whites and blacks

Ok so the town was all red with blood and it was soooo freaky! I checked my trainer card and my trainer was all bloody and his legs were missing and so was his head and he was all bloody. His legs and arms were gone, too. The play time was 6:66 and I had 666 Pokedex entries.

How to Win an ArgumentEveryone gets into arguments at some point in their life. Electronic communication receptacles are no exception. 1. CAP THAT If there's one sure-fire way to make a point stronger, it's typing in ALL CAPS. Considering that there are many instances when sound can't travel over the net, one must find the next best available way to be heard. This "next best" way is through "shouting," which just happens to be done online through typing in CAPS. Just like screaming, shouting, and general tantrum-throwing in real life, this method is a highly efficient method of making sure that your point gets across and makes you seem ten thousand times more valid and understandable. Additionally, it makes your argument come on more forcefully and shows the opposition you mean "serious fucking shit" with your side of things.

Event Gone WrongWhen I found out there was a new event for HG/SS that allowed players to get a Mew, I was excited to say the very least. I had never in any of my Pokémon games come to own a Mew, given the Nintendo events for them had since past and I wasn't about to risk screwing up a game with the Mew glitch. I was at my sister's when I found out and was unfortunately without my DS at the time, so I had to wait until I was back at my dad's to receive my Mew. Just about the moment I got back in the house, I immediately went off to get my new Pokémon; despite not being that big of a Pokémon fan anymore, the anticipation of receiving this rare and special bunch of data brought back some of the excitement I used to feel when I first started playing the games.Event Gone Wrong5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Everytime Conrad had been hungry since Adelaide had bitten him, he'd had to call the good doctor. Well, perhaps 'good' was a bit of an overstatement. Perhaps 'quack' was a better word.
Then there was Lamont, Worth's assistant. Lamont was okay. Lamont was tolerable. Lamont had a stupid laugh, but sometimes Conrad even enjoyed his company.
Really, he liked Lamont. But he didn't like Worth.
He had never felt one iota of a friendly feeling toward Worth, despite what Toni or Hanna said. He only every wanted to punch the doctor very hard directly in the face whenever they were in the same room together.
He received a phone call from Worth as soon as the sun had finally slipped below the oily horizon, and made a mental note to kill his phone for having caller ID.

Of course, there were no end of moments with a guy like Luce. Hell, even the way the scrawny eight-year-old punched him in his generous nine-year-old gut with a fist like a goddamn ice-pick and told him to forget about his fucking baseball was one that would never quite leave Lamont Toucey's mind. At that age, the way Luce wielded his curse-words was just about as impressive as the way he handled his elbows, but Lamont was a quick study and had a bit of chubbiness for protection. Not cleaning, mind, just wiping, and then snapping at each other, demanding why they wore their best shirts when this happened every fucking time, you bastard.
The individual punches really weren't noteworthy anymore, but rather a dime-a-dozen. They were some sort of investment in the blood-based bank that was Lamont and Luce, cramming them closer with every new tight ba

I always had loved playing Pokémon, even at my age... I started with that cute little Pikachu game. Pokémon Yellow. Sadly, I never had Blue or Red. Going from Pokémon Snap to the Trading Cards game, to the figures, the trading cards, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, Emerald, Firered, twice even, Heartgold, Soulsilver and even Platinum, Explorers of Darkness, Diamond, Pearl, Trozei and Black and White on my little r4 card. However with all those games coming and the better graphics.. My Pokémon yellow lay forgotten in my drawer...

Without a second thought, I grasped my golden SP and pushed in the cartridge, sitting back against my mattress and watching the intro scene. I was met by the cheery Pikachu and couldn't help but snicker. I remembe

Birds of a Feather .1The rules of being a vampire, as were laid down to him from the vampire before him, were as followed:Birds of a Feather .15 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
1. Never, under any circumstance, drink the blood of a dead person.
2. Fire, like the sun, has the same destructive possibilities to their kind, and can kill them all the easier.

None of it. Selkies just aren't built for this. We're not exactly common creatures. We have the ability to change species, and we're meant to use it. Whenever any of us gets bored, all they have to do is change, and we're satisfied for a while.
Nothing good has ever come of taking that away from us.
It was supposed to be fun.
I've done it before, plenty of times. Seal life doesn't stay entertaining forever. Selkies transform into beautiful humans. It was always a fun game. Hang around the coast for a year or so, meet some men, tease them until they can barely stand it And then, in the end, I leave. It's what I was meant to do.
We're a part of both worlds, the sea and the shore. Without both, we aren't complete. So we never really belong in either of them.
Toying with the humans is always a game. It can't be anything more because we just don't know how to get there. We're only part human. I suppose some of us do have the whole set of human emotions,
