The whole time I kept thinking about something a very popular concept artist on DA said and how much it made me mad at the time and how much angrier it made me while i was spending time in Japan. I'm paraphrasing here, but he basically said that Anime was the downfall of young western artists and that there weren't any good anime anyway except one or two- but he admitted that he didn't really watch anime at all and hadn't seen much... all based on the fact that he couldn't find good art that inspired him, a professional artist with amazing talent, on a site that is mostly filled with amateur and young artists from around the world.

I recently saw a program for sale that had a box that said "Now ANYONE can be an artist! Create the look of oil paint, pastels and water colors in an instant!"
The rage and disgust i felt was nothing new. It was something I have since my first year on DeviantART.

He thought I was a highschool truant.
The moral of the story is that I should stop wearing clothing a teenager might wear because as I continue to get older and not to age it will become more and more unbelievable that I am as old as I say I am and I don't look forward to being driven in the back of a police car to the nearest high school, in tears BECAUSE I HAVE ALREADY DONE MY TIME!

My skin was not always baby-smooth. Throughout my teenage years I had what is known as cystic acne. Life was depressing. I can't say which kind of acne is worse, all-over surface type, or one single giant zit-from-hell in the middle of your forehead. I had the second kind.
