Web Sharpener Update V0.8Hello,Web Sharpener Update V0.81 year ago in Personal More Like This
I've updated my Web Sharpener Script for Photoshop to version 0.8. You will need Photoshop CS2 or higher to run it.
New features ...
*) Improved downscaling algorithm that uses more than 2 steps now and considers the image size. If you liked the previous algorith, you can select this option as well.
*) Better edge masking to prevent halos more efficiently.
*) Some bug fixes.
Here's the link ... http://www.andreasresch.at/upload/WebSharpener.zip
The ZIP-files includes both a German and an English version of the script plus the documentation in PDF-format.
As there are quite a few medium format and large format shooters here - the new script works significantly better with larger images now.
By request I also created a version that runs without dialog so that you can use it to run in a batch. Here's what you have to do ...
*) The script is included in the "English" folder of the ZIP-file.</b>
*) Open the script in a text editor.

How They Did It: The Story Behind the ShotHTDI:TSBTS aims to guide emerging photographers by showcasing tips, techniques, and stories generously shared by some of dA's most accomplished Photography > Animals, Plants & Nature artists. At the same time, we hope to shed light on the often overlooked amount of effort that is required to create striking images like these. Making a great photograph takes time, planning, a creative eye, and solid photography skills. What happens behind the lens is just as important as the final product! How They Did It: The Story Behind the Shot1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I am sure many of you have been told "Great photo! You must have an awesome camera!" or "Wow, you sure were lucky to get that shot!" While a "good camera" and "luck" are small ingredients when creating a visual feast, we photographers would like to remind everyone that technical competency, determination, patience, and creative vision are the real meat and potatoes of any tasty photo.
"Was it luck that I happened to wake up at 3am fi

We are a nation with ancient roots, who gave the world brilliant inventions in aeronautics, medicine, cybernetics, history and biology.
Modern aeronautics would not be what it is without jet invented by Henri Coanda, the world would have been different, if the doctor and physiologist Nicolae Paulescu had not discovered insulin, or if the doctor microbiologist Ioan Cantacuzino not set up cholera vaccination method .
The world would have been different if Petrache Poenaru had not invented the pen in 1827, or if scientist George Emil Palade, not found in cell structure, particles that makes protein synthesis, called ribosomes, thereby laying the foundations of modern cell biology.
The world would have been different if Stefan Odolbeja not founded modern cybernetics, or if Anastase Dragomir had not invented in 1930 ejector seat.

It is absolutely imperative that we protect, preserve and pass on this genetic heritage for man and every other living thing in as good a condition as we received it.
