letters to you...letters to you...5 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I have been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
I can see the look of devastation
That will be on your face if you ever read what they say
The look of hopelessness and despair.
The longing for me to come back
But you have lost your chance
I will never come back
You broke my heart
You tried to rekindle something you broke
My heart has turned to steel.
Torn out of my chest...
These letters I write tell you that I still love you
But rather than give them to you and free you from misery,
I read them once again
And then burn the evidence
Make it as if it was never there
I will not let you to know how I feel
That I want us to be together
But I can not forget what you did to me...
Would you even take it back?
You will be trapped forever
With the knowledge that you were the cause of my death
You will never know that I forgave you.
But did not want to let it go.
I will take my own life
Because you stole my heart
And tore it to shreds...
You made me cry...

Reserved for dire circumstances.
You say you hate this,
You say you hate that;
You say it without reserve.
Hate and malice
Drip from your every pore,
Sticking to those who love you.
I cannot hate you,
I can only love you.
But how can I love
That thrusts word-shaped
Daggers into its victims?
I love, because
My hate is greater than yours,
My hate is different than yours.
I hate how I walk,
How I talk,
How I breathe,
How I live,
How I love.
I hate me.

Bruises BloomYou're hurting me with every word,Bruises Bloom5 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
And I don't have anywhere to turn
Each time you speak, another bruise blooms
And in this drunken state, every shadow looms
I'm surrounded by monsters, they lurk out of sight
And I go through each day, knowing at night
We'll play cat and mouse, away I'll run
They'll chase my silhouette, racing the rising sun...
And when morning comes, and they hide once more
I'll just be that girl, crouched on the floor
I'm listening to your voice, why didn't anyone hear
You screamed for hours last night, as I ran away in fear
And all they see is someone who cares
You're hurting me in ways I can't bear
And I know I'm saying something, completely taboo
But Daddy, just know, I'll always love you...

It has come to our attention
this is the twenty-third rejection
of work you have submitted to our site.
We don't wish to be alarming
and we hope this sounds disarming,
but your use of metaphor is somewhat trite.
We somewhat like the concept
(the execution is inept)
besides, your work just does not meet our theme.
You need to have more adjectives
and words like gloam and mucilage,
and phrases that go along in kind.
Please keep the imagery obscure -
the reader never should be sure
just what it is the author has in mind.
Pick a structure we all can stand -
we find your rhythm rather bland
and no deep meaning can the reader find.
So in short, we will be leaving -
please consider basket weaving
or perhaps take up bowling as a sport.
Or perhaps try stamp collecting
for your work we are rejecting.
Poetry should be your last resort...
I knowWhen i look at you, i see so much more than anyone else.I know5 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I see more than how you look, or how you dress.
What i see is something so much more special than just a friend.
I see someone i love.
I don't know how i can explain it, or even if i want to.
I don't know what it is, or why it does these things to me.
All i know is what i see when i look at you.
I see someone i love.
When i take your hands in my own, all i want to do is keep you for myself, far away from the world.
I want to shield you from the hurt and pain out there, and keep you in the warmth of my arms forever.
I know why it is that i feel this.
I love you
What I'd lose for youI'd fight off the world for you,What I'd lose for you6 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Throw you behind my back,
Shield you from the untrue,
Provide emotional strength you tend to lack.
I give you my shoulder to cry on,
Protect you from the insane,
Laughing together on the lawn,
Soaking in the rain.
If I were given the chance,
I'd lay down my life for yours,
Watching your green eyes dance,
Reflecting a flooded sea's shore.
Nothing would make me smile,
On the off chance we hadn't met,
That thought I truly revile,
And our parting I won't let.
Your voice makes my heart light,
And so much humor we make,
This is why our bond's so tight,
This friendship can't be fake.
Bomb after bomb I'd endure,
Say if we were caught in war,
Your safety I'd have to ensure,
Even if I were to live no more.
If any guy considers getting rude,
Or says something not right,
Oh, you'd better be ready, dude!
I'm geared up for this fight!
So I want you to know,
We are together forever
And this poem can't show,
Exactly what I would endeavor.

Great way to start isn't it?
Yeah, I thought so as well.
Oh my dear heavenly Father, I don't know.
So, let's begin.
My name is Loren. I'm of the male gender. I'm sixteen. I'm pansexual.
Pansexual, for all of you homophobic straights, means that I like whatever grabs my goat, tickles my fanny, flies my kite, blah blah blah, I'm sure you have your own way of saying it. It does not mean I'm putting on some freaky romantic moves with Mommy's dinnerware, thank you Evan.
By the way Evan, your face reminds me of my fathers soiled underwear, and you should definitely go screw a tree.
Anyway, I've been this way since...well, there was never a day that I chose. I get asked that stupid question so very often, and so I'm going to share the answer with all of you.
So here goes.
"Lorrreennnnnn," drones some random kid.
"Yes?" I answer, fully polite and patient.
"Like, duuuuuude, when did you choose to be like, gay?"

"Yeah. You really need to work on your judgement of people, because this is all wrong. It's like you don't know me at all!"
"So why don't you correct me and I'll fix my idea of you accordingly."
"Well firstly, I'm a really nervous person."
"Yeah. Your hands are either fiddling with your hair or your sleeve, or you're biting your nails."
"And I don't like going out. I'm a hermit."
"Except to your best friends' houses, or to the animal shelter, or to me."
"And I'm dead inside."

I'm Popular, now What?A lot of people in deviantArt want to be popular, but when they achieve their aim they discover that the fame brings with itself some consequences and responsibilities that they don't like. How can you know these consequences and what do you have to do with them?I'm Popular, now What?4 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Well, I'll gladly answer these questions with a few examples:
-Trolls: They are people who looks for attention annoying the others. When they see that someone is popular, they like to attack him/her so this person reacts negatively. Generally trolls are neglected people, they are looking for attention, so you shouldn't give it to them.
If you encounter a troll, you must disregard him/her like if you've never read what he/she had written, besides you should block him/her so that he/she won't write to you again, but you shouldn't talk about him/her in public nor showing the littlest interest.
-Thieves: They are people who feel attracted for the images' beauty and think they have the right to take them to do whateve
The Wizard's HeartHis heart broke a little everyday. The Wizard's Heart5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
She would come everyday, bringing him coffee just after 10 AM; she would stand and fuss over him ("Really, you need to get more sleep. How are you even awake now?"); she would sit and chat with him; she would bring him food she herself had grown and cooked, and together they would lunch on it in his home-- maybe even out in Flute Fields if he was up for it. He would tell her quietly, "You're funny... You come here so often." But he would smile and add, "But I like talking to you," and sip his drink. And she would smile that smile that made his heart skip a beat.
And yet everyday she broke his heart a little more.
She would come and ask him to look in his crystal ball. She wanted to know about him. And each time, he would swallow his words and read her fortune, watching the joy dance over her face. The joy he would never give her.
He watched in silence every time the two of them were out in town together, and the connection they seemed to have.

Your role was mighty indeed.
Your heroes were courageous
Your villains were evil.
Good always defeated evil,
Even if there was a cost.
I-Am That Is
You had many roles,
Badger Lord, Friendly Thief,
And many more Heroes.
I-Am That Is
You were also quite evil.
You were a Warlord,
And other Villains.
I-Am That Is
May you travel,
With those who
Are your friends,
Maril, Dann, Sam,
And everyone else.
I-Am That Is
Redwall won't be the same
Without you adding to the adventures
Of Friend and Foe.
Salmandstron will be lonely.
The Riddles lose their fun.
The songs, their meaning.
I-Am That Is
You will be missed,
By those who travel
That wonderful world

I know it's not me

Suck in your gut
Then I may not hate
Clear and bright
Please don't watch
As I starve tonight
Disgusting and lifeless
Without another guess
Don't show me
Bent over, wishing
For what I can't be
I'm stuck in this body
With food to fear
Broken and shattered
Don't stare at me
With this body battered
With blood running
Down my curled fist
Stupid mirror, you had it coming!

You were the only one who could play my ribcage like a pianist in concert. Your fingers found their home in the spaces between my ribs [fifth, sixth, seventh], and nestled against the soft curve of my violin-waist.
We should take it adagio, you said as we got lost in a tangle of freckled limbs that had seen too much August sunlight. OK, I breathed back, but of course we ignored that once the stars exploded above our heads.
Two quavers of a crotchet (it was never two halves of a whole), we descended into bass clef and danced the line that was the F below middle C. Your fingers were mezzo piano on my skin as you led me towards that imperfect cadence.
We were more beautiful together than apart.

I paced back and forth in my room, waiting for Sora's return rather impatiently. Where is he? What's taking so long? I asked myself, crossing my arms. Just then Sora ran into the room and held up a book. "I got it!" he exclaimed. We sat on the bed and opened up the book.
"Ichiro's diary.." I whispered, and skipped through the pages, only to discover that all the pages were blank. I threw it down on the ground and shouted, "Dammit!" I then sat back down, arms crossed, and grumbled something to myself. Sora had scooted farther away from me and was staring at me wide eyed, as if he had just seen a ghost or something. I glanced over at him.
"Oh, right. Sorry," I said. "Could you please take this back to Ichiro's room for me? It's late, and I have school tomorrow."
Sora nodded and picked the book up off of the ground, then left the room. I got comfortable in my bed and turned out the light.
I had strange dreams again that night.

"Do you have to go back? Sleep with me I have bad dreams when alone." I said. Both of them looked at me. Toga went to the right side of my bed where the wall hit the bed. He kissed my head and smiled.
"I can't I have to leave. I need sleep for tomorrow. Also you two have guardian stuff to do. Maybe after that." Toga said and rubbed my back. He didn't smile but I could tell it in his eyes.
"C'mon let's get ready " Zero said on the other side of me. His lips were bitter but made me intrigue. He has great lips. No what am I thinking I am here for the senate! Er-why couldn't I be just a guardian without this senate binding me. I sigh. "What's wrong? Something on your mind?" Zero said caress a strand of my hair.
"Yeah-well I'm kind of mad of something's. First I have to be serious when I'm here and not get lost in this relationship because the senate might have my head. Next is I can't greet Toga here, as my boyfriend because people might look at it weird

I think of myself as a logical person. I'm punctual, fastidious, precise like numbers. I'm a numbers guy. I'm no math genius or straight A student. But I love how consistent numbers are. They fascinate me. I put a lot of trust in them, in figures and formulae. They always add up. You never have exceptions to the rule, only unknown factors. So if you add 2 and 2, you will always get 4. No mystery.
I was a teenager at the time 17. Like every other almost-adult, I suffered through the necessary trauma of self questioning and found the figures didn't add up. Well, they added up, but the sum was a figure I was unwilling to acknowledge.

Stiles' half-assed jazz hands did little to impress the perplexed mother and child on the other side of the glass counter. Their expressions resembled that of deers in headlights, yet a twinge of amusement could be seen tugging at the corner of their mouths.
