Immunity [Part 4]Miku was asleep when a voice that had worked its way oddly into her dream woke her up. In her half-awake state she realized that the voice was singing, singing a lullaby to be precise. Even over the slight distortion caused by the transmission, she could tell that it was Luka’s voice over the walkie-talkies. Miku smiled and rubbed her eyes, simply listening to the sweet sounds coming from the device.Immunity [Part 4]3 years ago in Drama More Like This
When the song was over, Miku pressed her finger down on the button. “What a beautiful song.”
“Ah, Miku. Finally you pick up that dang thing. I’ve been trying to get your attention for a while now. Haha.”
“Well, I was asleep you know. I mean it’s-” She looked at the clock on the wall. “Two in the morning!”
“Oh, I’m sorry I woke you up… I just wanted to hear your voice. I missed you.”
“No that’s alright. I’m glad you did. I missed you too. And I was so worried while y
Secret life of a Vocaloid - TeaserHumans are slaves to appearance. They judge, speculate and assume based on what we wear, who we spend our time with, and what we do in that time. "Hey, Miku," comes a deep, feminine voice from behind me. I turn to see a good friend of mine, and give her a sincere smile.
Megurine Luka. She's been my friend for a long time. The two of us are part of the 'Vocaloid' program. It was a decision to give us fake identities so we could lead normal lives in school. According to our music producers, the names Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, and so on, refer to musical androids built for entertainment. But that's not exactly true. Normally, we are the beautiful, envied music sensations - we are those 'androids'. Now, we are just normal schoolgirls, as far as anyone knows. Even now, Luka is dressed in her school uniform like me, and neither of us look like we do on stage.
Immunity [Part 3]The next day when Miku woke up, Luka was already in her room.Immunity [Part 3]3 years ago in Drama More Like This
*Yawn* “Luka? What are you doing?”
“Just watching you sleep. It’s adorable.” She playfully stuck her tongue out at the tealette.
A shy blush crept its way onto Miku’s cheeks and she began fidgeting with her fingers.
“By the way… you snore.”
Miku’s eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. “I Do Not!! How could you even say something like that?!”
“Haha, relax sweetheart. I think it’s cute.”
“… Even So!” Then Miku ran off to the bathroom feeling slightly embarrassed.
When she emerged a few minutes later with a brush in her hand, she looked over and saw that Haku was now in the room with her breakfast. She walked over and sat down next to Luka on the couch while Haku was in the chair.
“Good Morning Miku.”
“Morning Haku. Thanks for the food.” Today
0301:: Happy Birthday MikuI took a day off on my usual rehearsals. But I mean, it is my birthday. But I really don't mind working. I sighed as I walked in my room. I walked in and closed the door. I looked around and took off my headphones. I walked towards my line of picture frames and stared at all the pictures. I took a glance at the pictur up on the walls. It had a lot of pictures of me, Luka, Rin, and the rest of my friends.0301:: Happy Birthday Miku4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I smiled again. "I'm 17 now " I told myself.
"Yes, you are."
I turned around and saw Luka walk in through the door. I smiled as she walked up to me. "Happy birthday, Miku." She greeted, and gave me a bouquet of roses.
I flushed as I slowly took the roses. I gave the pink haired female a smile. Luka gave me a smile as well and gently kissed my forehead.
I flushed again.
"Do you want to go somewhere?" The blue eyed asked. I shook my head and smiled.
"Manager said to stay home to celebrate my birthday," I said, "But if you want to then that's fine. I can come."

Pink and Teal Ch.3Miku Hatsune was once again sitting on the train headed into the city. She had received a call from Luka’s Manager, Mr. Nagase, the day before saying that they had some urgent business to discuss. She had no idea whether it was a good or bad thing though, so she sat there wondering the whole ride.Pink and Teal Ch.33 years ago in Romance More Like This
The train car she was sitting in wasn’t packed but it also wasn’t empty. There were a few other people heading into the city as well. Miku knew she was the hot topic at the moment and, as to not bring attention to herself, had left her hair down, as opposed to its usual ‘twin-tail’ styling. She was also wearing a hat and sunglasses. The disguise hadn’t worked as well as she had hoped however, as the few others in the car had recognized the unique teal color of her hair. They were kind enough and didn’t harass her with questions; just an autograph and congratulations. She was thankful for that.
The train stopped and the ‘disguised’
Immunity [Part 1]Teal colored eyes slowly opened, awaking from their slumber. They scanned the room; white, same as always. Everything was extremely clean. Even if you tried you wouldn’t find a single piece of dust anywhere. The sole occupant lifted herself into a sitting position on the bed. She looked around taking in the familiar environment. There were several monitors and other various kinds of medical equipment, in the exact place they had been for years.Immunity [Part 1]3 years ago in Drama More Like This
She looked to her left and on the other side of the glass wall that separated her room and the hallway; she watched as a few people dressed in white coats were walking the halls on their usual routines as she had seen many times. Then she looked slightly to the right of the wall where the door to her room would have been. In its place was a decontamination chamber. It contained a number of white suits that would completely cover a person’s body when worn.
Yes, Miku Hatsune was in a hospital, as she had been for her entire life. She
Wish Wrapped in RibbonsAn alarm blared in the room, echoing between the walls. A woman groaned as she moved to turn off the offending machine, but the outstretched hand only managed to make the device fall to the ground. The person cursed under her breath, the word muffled by the covers. She tried to retrieve the still yelling object, and finally managed to turn it off.Wish Wrapped in Ribbons3 years ago in Romance More Like This
She sighed tiredly, unwrapping herself from the covers. Her room was warm, but she still had thick blankets to protect herself from the biting cold outside.
January 30; it’s one of those middle-of-winter, pain-in-the-butt days, but this one is more or less special; it’s also known as her birthday.
Luka sighed again, sitting on the edge of her bed. She stared at the floor, mentally preparing for the long hours to come.
How was she going to spend such a special day?
Alone, just like last year.
At home, she used to celebrate her birthday with friends and family. But once she was 18, she departed for Crypton. In one short year

I didn't turn. Instead, I choked something brief, pathetic, and inaudible out, let my arm fall back to my side, and continued to stare blankly into the hollow cavity of my locker as the sound of her ever gentle footsteps neared.
It was likely a strange thing, that I knew so much about the person who was speaking to me for the first time only now but then again, she had always fascinated me. The diva, the prodigy, the beauty, the beast. Everyone talked of her like she was some sort of a goddess, something that wasn't even human, but when I saw her I could only see a girl who did everything she did as perfectly as she did to make up for how flawed she really felt. A girl, not unlike me in that sense.
It was normal for me to admire her. She was someone I could look up to as in a similar situation. That was what I had thought at first anyway, until whatever I felt towards her began dangerously to toe the borderline between simple admiration, and something much m

"Oh, that's it?" the pinkette questioned, not having realized how much time had actually passed. Music had always been her passion and when she was singing everything else seemed to disappear from her mind, even time itself. Luka was sure that there was some magic quality to music that made that possible.
"Yep, we've got everything we need. We will contact you if something comes up and we need you again. But good work today." the man once again spoke over the room's intercom system.
"Oh, well alright then. Thank you for all your hard work as well." Luka said as she took off the headphones and placed them in their holder. She then proceeded to exit the room and turn down the hall that led to, what she liked to call, her 'home at work.' In actuality it was the private room given to her by the company she worked for, CrypTone Inc.
While walking down the hallway she couldn't hel
Immunity [Part 2]Haku, a tear running down her face, reached up to turn off the last piece of equipment: the heart-rate monitor. And just as she was about to flip the switch something caught her eye: a small blip on the screen. If you weren’t standing right in front of the device, you wouldn’t have noticed, but it was there. She looked down at Miku and then back up at the monitor. The tiny blips were growing in size ever so slightly. Then a slight movement came from the girl on the bed, confirming what the monitor was indicating. She was returning. The coughing returned, although this time is wasn’t nearly as severe as before. Over in decon, Luka w

Something has been bugging me. There is a girl in my class, and she isn’t...Normal. That is, she is a nice girl and all, but the way she acts is too confident. She throws out money at the cafeteria as if it doesn’t matter in the slightest. She talks to other people as if she’s a goddess, and worst of all...I think I know her.
She has soft blonde hair, and ocean blue eyes. She is fairly tall, and possibly the most telling sign...Her name. It’s not the same, but for some reason it sounds the same. I once had a friend named Megurine Luka. And now, there is a girl in my class named Merurime Lucy. At first, I thought nothing of this similarity the two seemed to share, but the more I think about it, the more it sounds like she’s in the same situation that I am. Her hair could be a wig...And as I imagine her figure with pink hair, it matches almost exactly what Luka looked like, but older.
But if that
Wishes Ch.1High up in the mountains of Japan, there is a town. This town is known by many names, but it is known by everyone. For here in this town, there is a shrine. The Shrine of Dreams.Wishes Ch.13 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Located at the peak of one of the lower mountains surrounding the town, it has one of, if not the best, views in the entire world. The shrine looked out over the landscape which was dotted with several small villages, and larger cities. Off in the distance was the Pacific Ocean; a pristine sea of blue that met the sky at the horizon, and continued on for eternity. The shrine itself was a very simple Japanese style building. After a short climb up a set of stone steps, one would reach it, and its incredible view.
There is a legend that goes along with this shrine. It is said that there is a spirit that resides within the shrine that will grant the wishes of the people that visit. This legend is believed to be true. Some of the older citizens tell stories of the spiritual being. And like the town, it is kn
Pink and Teal Ch.2The next day was business as usual for high school student Miku Hatsune. Aside from the fact that she was now very popular since she was mentioned yesterday on the news as CrypTone’s contest winner. All throughout the day she was given many compliments, and asked a variety of questions, most of them about Luka but there were a few people who actually asked her about her own experience. One of these people was her best friend Rin, who now sat across from her at their usual lunch table outside in the courtyard at school.Pink and Teal Ch.23 years ago in Romance More Like This
“That’s so awesome that you won Miku-chan!” she exclaimed excitedly. “What was it like there?”
“That place is massive! And there are people everywhere that seem to be working extremely hard” the teal haired girl replied with a smile.
“So what was Luka like? Did you talk to her?” Miku blushed at this question.

Haku sighed, looking out the window. She had quite a nice view; sitting way in the back corner of the class had its good points.
But the view barely touched her. The blue sky, green grass, waving branches and their falling leaves barely even registered as they normally would.
It troubled her that she still wasn't used to this. Her entire lifestyle, her entire being…something she had to cope with, and had been coping with for already six years was still uncomfortable, strange, and borderline deranging.
First off, and probably the easiest to state, was that she was alone; just as alone as she had been for years, and most likely will be for years to come. No friends, not even family and even less relatives. She lived in a small cottage an hour away by train and an additional half an hour away by foot. The small wooden construction was secluded from civilization; the closest house was forty-five minutes away by fo

With another groan, she opened her eyes. It was dark around her, and the only other living being here were the alley cats in the garbage cans. She rubbed her eyes with her muddy hand, and got up. The cold, winter air was late leaving for the spring. Ignoring the shivers from her body, she walked up to the trash. The cats hissed and departed when she shook a container.
Miku shivered again. All she was wearing was a jeans and a short-sleeved shirt, with a thin sweater. It really didn't suffice in these harsh conditions.
She rummaged through the trash. She didn't care about getting her hands dirty; they couldn't get much worse than they were already.
Nothing to eat. Well, nothing that looked close to edible. Groaning when her stomach made her hunger more known, she grabbed a cup. She was going to beg, it was her last resort.
Miku shivered again as sh
Sneering Eyes Ch.1An alarm blared through the dimly lit room. Sunlight managed to push past the dull white curtains, weakly laminating the small, bare space. On a bed, in the corner, a girl groaned loudly, shifting. With another groan, the covers were pushed away. Two teal orbs blinked at the weak light, sometimes closing longer than safe, menacing to toss the girl back into deep, warm slumber.
The girl shook her head violently and nearly pushed herself out of the bed. The loud, dragging footsteps rang through the halls as she entered the kitchen, and the clattering of plates, bowls and other kitchen utensils could be heard.
Managing to remember herself that she didn’t have much time, she ate quickly, to trudge back down the halls towards her bathroom. Finally arriving at her destination, she looked at her reflection.
Her teal hair was a real birds’ nest, and her matching eyes barely seeme
