Some people may have found his behaviour inappropriate between a soldier and a commander. But he honestly couldn't help it. He just liked to… indulge, once in awhile. His unique ability to speak to the dead did not lend itself to many happy thoughts; when he was looking at her, pleasant thoughts came easier to him. She gave him a bit of relief from the haunting images that plagued his mind, residue from the spirits he had spoken to. It was a little ironic, really; she was his commander; she was the reason he was part of the unit, and had to use his abilities. Yet she was the one to give him release from the aftermath of letting a spirit possess him. She didn't even know the effect she had on him.
