I just had to throw out this one from yesterday. The aurora was extremely colourful, despite actually being quite weak. A 30 sec exposure @ iso 1600 brought out the purple tones brilliantly. It was completely dark so i had to blend in a 220 sec iso 800 exposure for the surroundings.

This turned out ok i think...

Have a great day everyone!

A shot from high up in the mountains on a cold and windy afternoon. The light was terrific and i love how the wind threw the snow all over the mountain.

Also fascinating to see the wind blowing the snow in snakelike patterns down the mountainside...view large to investigate.

Have a great week!

A few weeks back i decided to some morningshooting. I hate getting up early, but somehow i managed to get out according to plan. I had hoped for some early morning fog illuminated by the rising sun, but that didnt happen (it did happen a week or so later:-) ) So instead i went into the woods to shoot a nice little waterfall.
It was so damn cold this morning. The grass was frozen, the rocks were superslippery and everything was just uncomfortable. Theres a reason i hate getting up early...

When i got to this spot i saw these leaves. ok, i`ll admit that i moved one of them, but only a few inches.
The one to the right is SOON (straight out of nature). The left one i moved slightly because
it was almost in the water and it didnt seem right.

Looking back, it wasnt such a bad thing getting up early. Getting back home, grab a cup of coffee before the kids got out of bed... Not bad at all...

Have a great day!

A shot from last summer when i had the pleasure of shooting the most insane cloudformations i`ve ever seen..in the history of ever...really :-)

The wind was blowing full speed and i have a few versions with no movement, but i definately like the movement in this one...

Happy New Year all my fellow deviants!

A shot from early this month...and as always..please view large

After struggling through kneedeep fresh snow for quite some time i reached this partially open river. This was a particular composition i had been trying to shoot for several months, but the conditions have never been the way i`ve visioned it in my head. This time everything fell into place...

After shooting this one i struggled for another hour to get to another previsualized spot, just to find out it was useless...So i went back to this spot, followed the river downstream and witnessed an intense aurorashow. Managed to get a good one of the show...

I`ve also put up a blog. Something i never thought i would do, but i figured it would be a practical place to post longer stories and info about my photographic expeditions. Feel free to visit: [link]

Have a wonderful day all you great shooters!
