Another view from my past year trip in Iceland... Here are the Kerlingarfjöll mountains in the center high plains of Iceland.
I was observing an Arctic fox that hunted on the lava fields near the Hveravellir hot spot when, in a few minutes, the light came to the mountains in the background.
I remember my feeling while I admired the landscape, impressed by the contrast of the dark lava clear white peaks, illuminated by sunlight comming from the north...

Hello,

Here is the first photograph of my last trip to Iceland in september 2010... An unbelievable sight on the road to Askja, a huge volcanic area in the inner highlands of the north Iceland.

The fall colors on the vegetation were simply amazing. We were here in a totally desertic area...no human presence at 80km round at least. Just the light, the wind, the cold and the colors of this landscape, an amazing remember. The weather was quite cold (aprox. 0 to 3°C) and the first snowfalls were not so far. The last gasp of life before the winter...
