should i say something more :D
for all who followed me the last time
you can imagine how happy i am, that this gigantic project is finally done
three months (pure building time) of work are over
it was hard, it was frustrating but all in one
it was just worth :aww:

seeing her standing on my desk is just a satisfaction for all the work i put in
quite every edge is recolored to hide the white spots
i put so much soul into this project that i believe
a bit more and this model would jump right from my desk :D

but enough talking ;P
let's see what you will get here

file description:
the file contains as always three pdo files
one with texture and folding lines
one with texture and without folding lines
and one white version with folding lines

so you need again the Pepakura Viewer what you can get "here"

all three pdo's are not protected
so if you have the Designer, you can edit the model in the way you want :)

the package also contains the original textures

model description:
the model come on 52 pages with 520 pieces and is 60cm tall

i have to say this too
this model is hard
really hard, believe me
rate 10/10
you have to improvise a lot, so think two times if you really wanna build it :)

this time i wrote a lot of footnotes
more then usual
read them closely and you should have no problems

also
you should take a look at the building process gallery of the big sister
there are a few parts where i explain how this and that is working

to download the model
just click on download above ore click here

and the next awesome model is done
:iconvictorydanceplz: :hooray: :icondweebdanceplz: :iconcarameldansenplz: :happybounce: :squee:

that's the reason why i just love this shit so much :D
and i just knew it would be cool

as i saw this model for, well, meanwhile also over a year ago ^^;
i just had to ask :iconsanat49: sanat49 for it
and i'm very thankfull and proud that he spend his original mesh for a papercraft project :huggle:

the cool thing about this model is, that it's an entry for the pre-DominanceWar V competition, where i'm also a huge fan of :la:
what made this model, not the first Dominance War Papercraft, but the first downloadable (ironic hint to an other crafter ;P ) and hopefully definetly not my last ;)
...
but that's up to the 3d designer ;)

ok now, back to the model
the last steps, where you have to combine all parts will be exhausting
specially for the big shoulder armor pieces
there is not many space for glue or failures so be patience
test it out first where you can attach the pieces

also you have to put some weight into the rear leg or maybe both
maybe you noticed also that i attach the model a bit displaced at the pedestal
i had to do this because of the weight ratio
it's a lot testing and trying
so don't hurry ;)

file description:
the file contains as always three pdo files
one with texture and folding lines
one with texture and without folding lines
and one white version with folding lines

so you need the Pepakura Viewer what you can get "here"

all three pdo's are not protected
so if you have the Designer, you can edit the sheets in the way you want :)

the original texture is NOT included

model description:
the model come on 27 pages with 290 pieces and is 30cm tall

the model is actually not hard but the mouth take a bit more work as i thought
also the first three rings of the arms
the skulls and bones of the pedestal are very small but it's up to you if you wanna build them
i removed the lower site of the pedestal, it is too big for one page
but just glue the whole thing at a blank sheet and you have the same effect ;)

difficult level is about 7/10
if you have any trouble, feel free to ask me or/and take a look at the "building process gallery" where i explain how this and that is working :)

to download the model
just click on download above or "here"

DaiShiHun's Frost Dragon [link] has been on my "defininite to-do-list" ever since it got released. Yet with 30 pages and over 900 parts it was always quite deterrent.

Nevertheless, as the winter days were cold and boring, I asked my GF is she would be up to a big project that would take a couple of weeks. As we agreed to build it there was one big flaw that bothered me about the dragon: Its textures.

Although split in various parts, the 1024 textures were mushy, grey, dull and boring. They looked nothing like the shiny, crisp Frost dragons you see in the game. If I were to build this dragon, it ought to look awesome. So I got my hands on the High Res dev version of Pepakura that supports 4096p textures, grabbed a 8192x4096 texture from a HR dragon texture mod from the Skyrim nexus, added transparency features like translucent wings and some shadows that I got from a prebaked texture.

Besides looking more like the original dragon and being much crisper, the textures had another advantage: They were very economical in tint, only using black and a slight cyan tint.

I also retextured the rock to fit a snowy setting and tipped it off with a mixture of decorative sugar and baby powder.

I printed the Legs and wings on 140g/sqm semi-glossy and the body and head on 120g/sqm high glossy photo paper.

The assembly is far from perfect and took about 5-6 weeks. The model is held up by a wire pinched through the tail and leading to the rock.

I finished it today and thought I'd make a little photoshooting in front of an improvised greenscreen to edit the pictures with some in-game Skyrim screenshots.

I will be uploading some unedited photos later, unfortunately I only have a cheap digital camera available.
