Although in velvet darkness now
My body has been laid,
I dream of when the time will come
That I will soon be played.
I rest in lifeless silence like
A corpse within a tomb,
Awaiting heaven's sunny bliss
But doomed to bide in gloom.
Inside my frame of steel and wood,
My soul resounds with song.
I yearn to let it soar upon
The stage where I belong.
I want to shine beneath the lights
And show the world my art.
I want to seize the chance to play
The music from my heart.
For someday, worn by use and time,
I shall be cast aside.
No longer will I grace the stage
Aglow with joyous pride.
Then I'll be locked away, until
The songs in me are stilled,
My strings contorted into knots,
My promise unfulfilled.
Just Another VictimLily awoke in a room with a dozen other unknown women. Each girl was in their early to mid-twentys and each girl was naked. Very little was in common among the girls, some were blonde, others were brunettes, one was a red-head and the others had raven colored hair. And each girl had a different ethnicity, some didn't even speak English. But none of the girls knew where they were or how they got where the were now.Just Another Victim4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

The silence was deafening, each time a sound echoed in the room, all the girls would quickly turn to the noice in a panicked motion. There was a large door at the end of the room that was sealed from the outside, if one of the girls dared to go near it, they would nto be able to escape.

quiero perderme en el abismo de los cielos;

un nuevo comienzo, un nuevo presente;
una oscuridad que no tanto palpite
que sólo desaire, que sólo marchite...

Still you destroy it
The virginity of pendants
The rose has its thorns
But it doesn't want to hurt you
The rose is insecure
And still it smells so sweet
The rose is a symbol
That makes us think
The rose is a hope

Sen-Daughter of Roku: PrologueMy mother always told me it was important to remember who I was. As a child I never fully understood what she meant when she said that. I thought she was worried that I would wake up one morning unable to remember my name or something like that. It has taken most of my life to realize why she wanted me to remember, because if I didn't, no one else would. That is why, tonight, I am taking record of my life, so once I am gone others may be able to look back over my experiences, learn from them, and hopefully avoid my mistakes.Sen-Daughter of Roku: Prologue4 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

Haraan almost let go of the cable. His friend hadn't delivered one of his funnier lines; he had delivered a weirder one, and Haraan couldn't make sense of his words and remain suspended fifty feet above the vulgar crowd at the same time. He alternated between pulling with his arms and bringing his legs in until he had shimmied to the other end of the cable. Once his feet were planted on that higher rooftop, he was safe to call back to his friend on the roof below.
"Jasti, where did you get that from?"
The addressed slung himself under the cable and grinned, his wild corn-muffin hair bobbing in the breeze. "A book," he replied.

The mast anchoring the cable to the second roof twanged in distress. It bowed under the load of Jasti's large frame, but, like countless others before it, would not give. Naturally, Haraan mad

- Lady Ursa, shortly before her exile from the Fire Nation for the crimes of Murder, Treason, Conspiracy, and Loving Her Son
The annihilation of the Air Nomads, their culture, and their every resource was proceeding apace. There was a good reason for this. The attack had been in the making for over a decade, with the Fire Nation's greatest military minds poring over all available intelligence about the Nomads, and deploying the full strength of the military against them. Plus, the influence of The Comet couldn't be ignored. The attack force consisted primarily of Firebenders, and each and every one of them was currently capable of unleashing as much power as a fully realized Avatar. The Comet would be in the sky for another few hours.
In that time, an entire Nation would die.
There were many tragedies that day. One of note occurred at the Eastern Air Temple, at the Sunrise Launch.

It was always just around the next tree, or disappearing into the next shadow. It seemed impossible to catch. She finally came to another, much smaller clearing. The trees formed a canopy overhead, making the lighting sparse and cool.
The figure stood in the middle of the clearing. He was no more than a shadow, a dark shape. He turned to face her.
His eyes were glowing like a blue sun in the dead of night. He put his hands together, and the glow spread outwards along his arms, down his legs, and up his spine to the top of his head to form an arrow that stopped

I was curious to what the light was, so I started to walk out of the darkness and towards the shining light. It got warmer the closer I got to the light; I also had the "don't go towards the light" thought in my head which made me hesitate and start walking even slower. I was just within arm's length of whatever was making the light when suddenly, out from the light, a man jumped out and struck me down then held a Katana (Japanese sword) in front of my face. I couldn't quite make him out since the light was blinding me, but I could tell that he was just as tall, maybe even taller, as me. He st

What are the Zenn?
The Zenn are a sentient species who originate on a large rocky, ice-planet. Their bodies are adapted to subzero temperatures, high altitudes, and 1.4 G's of gravity. They are best suited for climbing and running 'short' distances of ten miles or so, and their manner of moving is best described as being like parkour. They emphasize what they are saying with very expressive body language. Their language is made up of 9 distinct languages that can be spoken separately from one another and don't share similar roots but are most commonly spoken interchangeably with the prevalence of one over another dependent on region.
The Zenn recognize 9 biological sexes categorized into 3 reproduction-based categories (there are others that lie outside of that categorization method), and 15 gender-identities. Pronouns are based more upon those main 3 categories but many Zenn have the option and opt to use pronouns reflecting their internal identity.

The rocks surrounding the small mining town of Cripple Creek almost seemed to glow in the heat, and the horizon was half-hidden by haze. The township went about its business under the watchful eye of the local Dominion garrison.
But those in the Pink Moon sheltered from that world. The barman, Townes, was an old war veteran with only one arm. In place of the other was a crude robotic substitute. He was strangely proud of the device he'd often joke that he'd never play piano again, but his sex-life had improved tremendously.

How can I smile with your voice continually in my head? How can I live when you engulf me in darkness? Life isn't for forced happiness, it's for weeping and crying and feeling genuine emotion. So please, don't hold a knife to my throat during unknown times and make me 'grin and bear it'. I don't want to feel that cold metal biting into the soft flesh of my neck. I have no desire to have foreign sentiments injected into my heart.
Why do you force me to wear such startlingly bright clothes, when all I want to do is spin in green fields wearing black satin? No one should be made to disguise their sadness with colour, because the soul simply refuses to work like that. It knows what it wants so, if it wants to cry tears of nacreous silver, let it. Let yourself cry, don't make yourself laugh, trust me. It's easier.
