I handed this assignment in yesterday... it's a set of seed packs which come with a guide book on how to care for your sprout You can also make plant tags (or whatever those things you label pots with are called) out of the back of the paper bags. As you can see, it was intended to be green and not blue

"PACKaCOW is freshly packed milk, so fresh as if we Pack a Cow in! Delivering the natural goodness in every cow, take your pack of cows home today."
My graphic design 2 assignment 3... create a food packaging.
why i chose to do milk carton: cos i didnt really like milk when i was a kid, n so i didnt really drink much of it, lacking nutrients i was way skinny.... =.= having a character and something interactive to do with the carton, would've motivated any kid drink milk even though they dunt like it.
yea i didnt use ICHIGO characters cos it crushed visually with the logo. >.<
Hey As some of you might know, I'm studying Graphic Design, and while I'm most of the time the minimalistic typographical designer, some times I decide to illustrate as well.
In this project I thought illustrations might be the way to go with. The assignment was, to design a paper bag for "suhrkamp", a big intellectual book publisher in germany who is having its 60 year anniversary. I wanted to use pictures of the authors and we client wanted me to use book-titles as well. Since I wanted to create something contraire to their usual looks, and since all the photos of the authors were too old and boring to use, I decided to illustrate over those photos, to give them a fresh look.
The book titles are flying out of their heads, as if you could see how they are thinking.
This is only a dummy, not the final product. The typography is super sketchy, but it's enough for the pitch to make them decide of they want it or not.
The authors you can see on this paperbag are: Max Frisch, Bertold Brecht, Ernst Bloch, Adorno, Walter von Benjamin, Thomas Mann, Hermann Hesse und Franz Kafka.
If they decide to use it, it gets printed 200.000 times.
Tell me your opinion, and if there is any interest in those non-comic stuff at all. Simon
