Someone on TF2chan posted a request for Team Fortress 2/Portal 2 shenanigans, right when I was craving the same thing. Couldn't help but fulfill both our desires. They suggested Engineer and turrets, Soldier vs. Mashyspikeplate, Heavy and Medic co-op testing, Scout goofing around with infini-falling, and Pyro scribbling on the walls; I added Spy cloaking past a turret (goddamn I wish you could do that in-game), Chell, Companion Cube, and Sniper chilling out to Exile Vilify, and Demoman making a really terrible joke.
(Okay, and the shameless pairing. They were just supposed to hug! Really! Like the co-op bot gesture! But then the pose ended up as a kiss and I didn't have the heart to change it...)
Fun fact: Pyro and Rattman's wall scribbles were drawn on a Cintiq. I have access to a 12WX at work, although I rarely get an excuse to use it, so I copied the .psd to a flash drive and wasted a lunch break drawing that particular bit. (It was worth it! I'd already eaten my sandvichsammich sandwich anyway.)
Oh, and any hints of Sniper/Chell are to be completely disregarded. GLaDOS/Sniper is the one true canon pairing--just ask Ellen McLain and John Patrick Lowrie. :D
A more...realistic(?) version of dragon-ified Kazooie from Banjo-Tooie. Which I, err, have not actually played--I had an N64 as a kid for a total of maybe 20 minutes, during which my dad thought it was defective and brought it back to Toys R Us. We traded it in for a Playstation, which the TV didn't recognize in exactly the same way it did with the N64, so my dad finally figured out it was the television settings and not the game system. We kept the PS1 in the end. (I wasn't unhappy, though, I got to play Spyro the Dragon. :D)
So how do I know that Dragozooie even exists, let alone what she looks like? Watching other people play the games via the Internet, of course! Which I do, uh, rather a lot. (The LP Archive is awesome for when I'm sick of doing homework and want to take a break. Watch an LP video, go back to work. Get sick of work, watch another video. It's relaxing. )
Painting took about 2.5 or 3 hours in Photoshop CS4, start to finish. Did most of the background during a Big Bang Theory rerun. (Woo, slapdash~)
I really shouldn't have to put copyright information here--I don't even own a copy of Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie, let alone any of the characters--but if you didn't know that Kazooie belongs to Rare, Ltd., then you really need to get out less and play more video games.
Obligatory Valentines picture! o^.^o Happy Valentines Day everyone!
Since I couldn't think of a pairing to draw that wouldn't put at least a few people off, I thought "Hey, this isn't a holiday just about being paired up! It's about LOVE, and love comes in many forms and a bunch of different levels!" Or something like that, interspersed with thoughts of yaoi and sugar-filled treats. XD;;
So, here's love in the form of 'master and pet', in a vague, non-perverted sense of the phrase. XD Chibi-Kaiba's got one of his beloved Chibi-Blue Eyes White Dragons nibbling on his hair and wagging it's tail happily. Because that's probably how a dragon would say 'I love you', and I have an odd obsession with things nibbling on Kaiba's hair. XD I know, I know, I'm weird as all hell today, it's the sugar...
Scribbled on scrap paper with my beloved mechanical pencil, cleaned up in PSP7, and then I had a ball coloring it in Open Canvas. (Pink! Lookit all the pink! XD)
(Legal Stuff) Aww, can't we just skip this today? Share the love? ...No? Damn. Yugioh and all things associated are copyright Kazuki Takahashi. There, I said it. Killjoy. (/Legal Stuff)
More Dog Fortress 2! This time with better line art.
I still don't know why Medic is a tiny flufflepup. The fangirl in me wants to make him something prettier and more elegant, like a collie or a long-haired Weimaraner or something. (Or at least taller--he's the fourth tallest class! Sniper only has about an inch or two on him, and he's second-tallest.) But no, I can only picture him as a little yapping puffball. It just works.
Either someone pissed on Sniper-dog's hat out of revenge, or they dropped it in the toilet (or a pool or something.) Either way, whoever it was is seriously in for it later. *coughSpydogcough*
Contest entry for 's Halloween contest! Heh, this is the first time I've been brave enough to send in a pic. XD
Anyway, the contest requirements were either a picture of Yugioh characters visiting haunted places, or a horror movie parody. I had to do a werewolf movie, of course. X3
So, here's my Yugioh version of The Howling, with the ever creepy werewolf!Yami no Malik as Eddy Quist (the loony pervert werewolf), and poor Mai as Terry Fisher (main character's best friend, who unfortunately gets munched.)
For those who either haven't seen the movie or don't remember the scene, they're in Dr. George Waggner's office, and Terry (Mai) was rifling through the file cabinet for files on Eddy Quist. Eddy (Yami no Malik) popped up from behind the cabinet and chased her around the office until finally catching and killing her.
I took a few artistic liberties of course, such as the background of the office (haven't seen the movie in several months so I couldn't remember anything but the file cabinet and the desk), Yami no Malik's position (Eddy just slipped out from behind the cabinet and grabbed the files away, but our dear Head-Explody Yami just had to be a nut and clamber over the top and grab Mai's arm), and where in the files Mai was looking (he's not "Quist, Eddy", he's "Ishtar, Malik"!)
I'm actually very proud of this picture, and I should be really, it took me five hours just to color! XD My favorites are Mai's jacket and Yami no Malik's fur. The filing cabinet could've been better (I can't draw straight lines for the life of me), and the background was rather last second, but overall I like it.
And the shadows? Took me forever. @_@ I did it all in Open Canvas 1.1, so there were no "drop shadow" filters or nothin'. I had to do it all by hand. *rubs her poor aching fingers*
"I'm gonna eat you~" "Eeeek. ;____;"

Yet another thing spawned from having too much free time. XD
Alright, first I should explain that the Japanese seiyuu--or voice actress--for Kaiba Mokuba in Yugioh is the same person who does Utsumaki Naruto's voice in Naruto. (Her name is Takeuchi Junko.)
Naruto and Mokuba sound exactly the same (which is how I found that out; we were watching the first episodes of Naruto at my anime club, and I thought "Hey, that's Mokuba's voice!"), and I got very, very, very bad thoughts when I first heard Naruto use "Oiroke no Jutsu"--otherwise known as Sexy Jutsu. XD
So, this little chibi-comic was born! I had the idea of Kaiba Seto sitting at his laptop, typing away, when Mokuba bounces in saying he's learned a new trick and he wants his brother to see. Seto says he's busy, and Mokuba begs him until he complies. He uses the Oiroke no Jutsu, freaks Seto out and gives him a nosebleed, and that's all she (I) wrote. XD
And, in case you can't see it, that little text at the bottom reads "passed out and nosebleeding" with a little arrow pointing at Seto (who does indeed have a nosebleed *grin*), and Mokuba's asking "Are you okay?"
Drawn with mechanical pencil in one of my notebooks (Becca-san, I'll bring it to anime club so the rest of you guys can see it!) Cleaned up, text added, AND colored in Paint Shop Pro 7. Found out if you lower the opacity of the paint brush tool it colors quite nicely. o^.^o (Still like Open Canvas better, though...)
(Legal Stuff) Yugioh and all things associated are copyright Kazuki Takahashi. Naruto and all things associated are copyright Masashi Kishimoto. Just thought it would be fun to smeesh the two together for a bit. X3 (/Legal Stuff)
Yes, that's right, the title says "Mokubug". Because it's my Chibi Two-Tailed Kitsune Mokuba looking at a bug. Ladybug, to be precise.
*cough* Just generic cuteness drawn in Open Canvas. It's so cuuuute. XD I need to upload one of my scarier/cooler drawings, like a werewolf or a Japanese dragon or something...all this cuteness is going to give someone cavities. XD
Oh, and the reason Mokuba is a two-tailed kitsune is because I am infatuated with one of my stories where he is, you guessed it, a fox spirit with two tails. Just not chibi. (More like kick-ass and sarcastic as all hell. XD)
(Legal Stuff) Yugioh and all things associated are copyright Kazuki Takahashi. The Kitsune-Mokuba idea is mine, but I don't own the actual character. Of course, you all knew that, right? Right?
...Right. No suing, then. *innocent smile* (/Legal Stuff)
Sasuke is more of a feline-type than canine, of course (canon supports this, as does some of the official merch XD), but that has nothing to do with the reason behind this picture!
Okami Sasuke began as the sudden curious thought of what Sasuke would look like if he was a god-wolf like Amaterasu. (Which is not even the most unusual thought I've ever had that has spawned a picture. The weirdest would be, err, the Silent Hill/Katamari Damacy crossover scribble.)
After some initial sketching in Photoshop and a few of those rare hours where I actually had the free time and inclination to do a digital painting, I ended up with this! I kinda want to draw another picture with his little black-and-white straight sword as a Divine Instrument. (I'd have to actually, uh, be good at drawing weapons though. orz)
And the very badly written (my sincerest apologies to any native speakers; if it's any comfort my English handwriting is just as bad) kanji in the background reads "ookami" (great god), though Wolfsuke is covering up part of the "kami" half. Bad boy, no tomato for you.
Inspired by and dedicated to , because she's been feeling down and, even though I'm a little late in cheering her up, someone can always use an emotional boost. Even though we don't know each other too well just yet (I'm still using '-san' as a suffix, heh), I consider Shadi-san my friend, and I'm always here to comfort my friends. o^.^o
Hope you're feeling better right now, Shadi-san!
Well, the meaning behind this picture is that even if someone you love is very far away, be they online friends or family or anyone else, there is always some way you can contact them and get a few encouraging words, be it from their voice on the phone or simple text on a screen. o^.^o
And even though Kaiba's an ice-cold S-O-B, he's got to have his own dark 'n lonely moments, and he's got the little fluffball Mokuba to get him back to his normal stoic, pissy state. *grin*
By the way, the background is that particular shade of orange (with a few pinkish-red squigglies) because I wanted a nice warm, loving feeling to the image. Hope it worked. o^.^o
Recently I ended up nerding out about the Banjo-Kazooie series with some online buddies and drew the two forms of Kazooie~ Normal Kazooie is the one on the right, wheras Dragon Kazooie is only available for Banjo-Tooie. I used Dragon Kazooie for the rest of the game after I unlocked her omg I love that form so much ;_;
... wow I just realized I sort of draw Normal Kazooie as a cross between her classic and N&B version, with the head feathers and everything 8U HMMMM I dunno
Sketched in openCanvas 1.1, finished in Paint Tool SAI
