First Feature EVER! Spring FlowersI have been wanting to do a feature for a while now and I figured with the beta testing options for the new journal tools, now was a better time than any! I'll start with Split Screen since that's my most popular series on DA!
1. I met Jeremy in a dream where he told me his full name (Jeremy Mathew Tanner). I can't for life of me remember what we were doing in the dream, I just remember drawing him and writing his name down when I woke up.
2. When I was developing the story for the series I was listening to John Mayer's "Split Screen Sadness" which I thought really described Jeremy and Jan's relationship, so I named the series after that song. 3. Split Screen sat largely unfinished for a LONG time. Like many of my projects, I worked on it voraciously for a few months, then it sat there. I had uploaded the first 42 pages to my personal Facebook but

We are a huge group now and get hundreds of submissions every week, so to avoid flooding your inbox with entries we have decided to not select works that (according to majority of us) lack artistic merit. There is three vote selection system in place so it rarely happens that a submission is rejected, but it does. Most submissions will still get through (only 7-9% submissions get rejected) though, so don't be disheartened and continue being part of our family.
To make sure that this doesn't happen please make sure that you submit works that you have really worked hard on and is not an half-hearted attempt on your part. I don't wish to offend anyone , especially when I have interests in almost all types of art forms but most of our submissions are photos, so you might find us being a little bit more strict about photographic submissions.
