This wreck is probably about 500m away from the southern most tip of Africa.

Kogel Bay, South Africa

Manual blend of 2 exposures. The long exposure is made possible by the use of a ND400 filter. I have shot many variations of this composition before. Those mountains are just wonderful when light hits them.

Away for the long weekend with friends at Eersterivier, South Africa. Some interesting rocks along the coast there.

The mountain in the background is called "Lion's Head". It's the same head as in this shot:
Descending Lion's Head
and the the following two shots were shot from atop it:
Camps Bay
The Mother City

Single 126 second exposure shot with a 10 stop ND filter. Normal, under-exposed and over-exposed versions of the sam raw file were converted and then blended together to control the dynamic range. I used Tony Kuyper luminosity masks to control contrast.

I really hope I didn't overdo the processing.

Kogel Bay with Hougaard. Broke my tripod somehow, but the light was sweet.
