The Native Americans that used to inhabit the area of Montana around Billings named this the Cliff With no Road and refused to go on it because if they got cornered there by their enemies, they would have no where to go. This is in the Pictograph Cave State Park.
I took a walk in the park with a friend recently. We weren't expecting to see many flowers so early in the season. These fellas were hiding pretty close to the ground, under last year's leaves. We almost didn't see them.
