Time, as it always have been, seems to fly by outside. Bubbles that no one ever notices pop below the ocean in an expanse of blue sky and clouds. Inside one iridescent bubble, Lombo, a time traveler honed to this art by his master, enjoys the hidden world - of magical summer, waves larger than everything else, and solitary lighthouse - before it's gone. Time, seems to be slow here.

Life before Death. I considered going a more flowery route with this one, but I wanted the feeling to be overgrown and out of control. Such is life. Pun intended. If you caught the thumbnails I posted a day or two ago see if you can figure out which one I've used to create this big green meany.
Death is on the way. Thought I'd finish these submissions on a high note.

So when I heard about this contest, I thought it'd be a fun little one to enter.
I have a huge love for Great White Sharks, always have since I was a kid so I knew I'd have to do something with them. I also wanted to include a dog into it, since I'm a big dog-lover as well (Sorry Gizmo!).
So I did a little combo of a Bull-Dog and a Great-White....and there we have it, a Bull-Shark.
But I wanted to add a bit of a story to it as well, and if you're one who got the LMS book, look out for the easter egg.
Hope you guys enjoy it! And good luck to all!
Done in about a day.
THE WARNING LABEL READS: "Bull-sharks may be incredibly lethal and hard to control. Please read the guide before you release your bull-shark into the public. Keep any other form of pet, including "Cat-Fish" away from the bull-shark, do not stare bull-shark in the eye as this will show a sign of aggression and possibly a threat. Most importantly do not swim while wearing black with the bull-shark as he will mistake you for a seal."
I initially wanted to do a more grotesque and brutal theme for this same subject matter, but then I read the rules. :/
So i tried to stick with my initial idea but make it more of an homage than a bloodbath.
This image was painted in about 3 days, almost 4. Differentiating from my normal workflow, I used absolutely no line work on this. I just started blocking in the forms and rendered them. It was a fun process that i want to do more often.

I will upload some higher-res crops of this image after the contest, so check my gallery.
Good luck to all in the contest, I've seen some pretty awesome stuff so far.
