I have been checking this tree out for some time, but the light never worked out the way I wished for, so I kept returning just for fun. After several trips I was rewarded with this beautiful sunset. Please enjoy.

Iceberg Lake and the Minarets at sunrise.

This photo was taken on my backpacking trip with :iconbenjamin-charles:

The Minarets are a section of the Sierras that I have been starring at since I was a child and has been on my "to do" list for years. Although we had to change our plans because snow was blocking our route to the next set of lakes, I feel I have a good taste of this area and cannot wait to get back next year. TOP PRIORITY!

On a side note. I was stupid enough to jump into this lake at 10,000ft in October. Dont believe, just ask Ben. Not one of my brighter ideas. haha!

While biking I have noticed this field and its location, and knew that I will be back with camera once the weather cooperated bit more. Two weeks later I captured this image.

Enjoy.

The reason why I am calling this "The One" is simply because from all of the photos I have from this place I like this one the most. Actually I still remember the feeling I had when I took this photo, the way I was excited, felt alive, and also little frustrated because the light was changing so fast that morning. Anyway I am happy with the result even thou the web version is little strong in reds. For processing I have used only my actions (digital velvia, contrast, web presenter, with minor light selections). I hope that the result will give you at least a little bit of the feeling that I have experienced there.

Please enjoy,

Tomas
